US-based UKG artist Hans Glader and rising UK rave act efan today come together for their new single ‘will you show up?’, out now via Maraki Records. The experimental collaboration combines Hans’ propensity for off-kilter energy with efan’s breakbeat inclinations, creating a dynamic collision of UK rave influence and West Coast flair.

After following each other’s music from across the Atlantic, the pair finally connected in Bristol over a shared appreciation for soulful chord progressions. That meeting eventually evolved into ‘will you show up?’, a dark, late-night take on 2-step that plays with the contrast between hazy atmosphere and weighty club rhythms. Pitched-up vocal fragments drift across deep basslines and tightly syncopated drums, with subtle shifts in the groove giving the track its restless momentum. A California native, Hans Glader has developed his own interpretation of UK garage by filtering the genre through the sounds that surrounded him on the West Coast.
