BASIC-FIT JOINS ADE AS AN OFFICIAL PARTNER FOR NEW MORNING EXPERIENCE CONCEPT HEADLINED BY CARISTA

Basic-Fit transforms its Stadhouderskade gym into an intimate dancefloor on 24 October, bringing music, movement and community together during ADE’s 30th anniversary with the first edition of the “Feel Good Club”

Basic-Fit, Europe’s leading fitness provider, is joining forces with Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) as an official partner as ADE celebrates its 30th anniversary this year. Together with Surinamese-Dutch DJ and producer CARISTA, Basic-Fit will bring music, fitness, and community together through “Feel Good Club”, a new event specially organised for ADE visitors who want to experience the energy of a club night during the day in a unique, healthy way, on Saturday, October 24.

The Feel Good Club featuring CARISTA will take place at Basic-Fit’s Stadhouderskade Club in Amsterdam. This morning experience will see the gym transformed into an intimate dancefloor, creating a different kind of experience during one of the world’s biggest electronic music gatherings. Instead of ending the night on the dancefloor, attendees can start their ADE Saturday there, with music, movement and positive energy in an unexpected fitness setting.

The event will feature a line-up of talented DJs, with CARISTA headlining the experience and bringing her distinctive sound to the Basic-Fit setting. Her set will set the pace for the morning, setting the tone for a different kind of ADE experience.

The Feel Good Club featuring CARISTA will take place from 10:00 to 13:00 on 24 October and will be free and open to everyone, whether they are heading into a full Saturday of ADE or simply looking for a different way to experience the festival. Pre-registration is required.

Beyond music, training and movement are a regular part of CARISTA’s life and routine, creating a natural connection with a partnership built around music, movement and collective energy. The Feel Good Club featuring CARISTA brings music and movement together in a new setting, creating a different way to experience ADE beyond the traditional club and festival environment.

Commenting on the partnership, Erica van Vonderen-Hahn, CCO of Basic-Fit, said:
“Partnering with Amsterdam Dance Event gives us an exciting opportunity to bring together two worlds that are increasingly connected: music and wellbeing. With this event, we’re creating a space for people to experience the collective energy of music and movement, while staying true to what Basic-Fit stands for: making fitness accessible, social and part of people’s everyday lives. CARISTA is an important part of that story, bringing her experience as an artist together with the way training and movement fit into her everyday life. We’re excited to see this collaboration come to life during ADE.”

Jorinde Boom, Head of Partnerships at ADE, added:
“With more than 1,200 events taking place across Amsterdam, ADE is always about finding new and unexpected ways to experience electronic music. At the same time, maintaining a healthy balance between the physical and mental demands of our industry is becoming increasingly important. Together with our partners, we want to explore these topics in ways that feel natural to ADE. This collaboration with Basic-Fit brings those two worlds together, connecting entertainment and wellbeing through music and movement in a completely different setting.”

Furthermore, commenting on the collaboration, CARISTA said:
“Music and movement have always been connected for me. DJing and touring are physical, and training has become an important part of how I take care of myself and stay grounded alongside everything I do as an artist. I like that this collaboration brings those worlds together in an unexpected way. Starting an ADE Saturday on a dancefloor in a gym is definitely a new one for me, and that’s exactly what makes it fun.”

The morning event forms part of Basic-Fit’s wider ADE partnership, which will also see all 250 Basic-Fit clubs across the Netherlands open their doors free of charge to ADE Pass holders during ADE week.

For Basic-Fit, the partnership represents an opportunity to explore the growing connection between fitness, music and culture, while creating a more accessible way for people to participate in the ADE experience.

PØLAROIT REWORK JANUS RASMUSSEN’S 'DOOM'

Out now via Embassy One, the German duo reshape Janus Rasmussen's 'Doom' with a deeply melodic, atmospheric rework of the track originally featured on his 2026 album 'Inert'.

Following the release of his acclaimed solo album ‘Inert’ on Embassy One in June, Faroe Islands-born, Reykjavík-based producer Janus Rasmussen now invites pølaroit to deliver a heady interpretation of one of the album's standout tracks. Available from September 18, the duo’s rework of ‘Doom' finds the German outfit drawing out the original's emotional character, layering deep electronic grooves with organic textures and their signature melancholic touch.

Where Rasmussen's original captures the restless energy and forward motion that runs throughout 'Inert', pølaroit's rework takes 'Doom' somewhere more intimate and immersive. The duo gradually opens up the track's melodic elements, surrounding them with warm electronic textures, rolling percussion and a delicate, understated groove. The result is a patient and atmospheric reinterpretation that retains the emotional core of the original while also revealing an entirely different side of it.

There's a natural connection between the two artists. Rasmussen's work has long been defined by a balance of precision and emotion, using intricate sound design and subtle melodic movement to create compositions that feel both meticulously crafted and instinctive. Likewise, pølaroit operate in a similar space, drawing on their shared appreciation for organic instrumentation, atmospheric production and the emotional possibilities of electronic music.

For pølaroit, the rework also extends a musical philosophy shaped by their connection to place and time. Jonas and Marius' productions have consistently blurred the boundaries between club music and more intimate listening experiences, with their sound informed by everything from Jonas' background as a pianist to Marius' roots in percussion. Their music has travelled far beyond the conventional club environment, from Burning Man and Fusion Festival to the Himalayas, with field recordings, organic textures and melodic instrumentation becoming integral parts of their sound.

That approach has earned the duo releases across NORR, Cercle Records, Anjunadeep Explorations, Ki Records, Stil vor Talent and now Embassy One, as well as collaborations and projects that reflect their interest in pushing electronic music beyond traditional formats. Their Cercle performance in India's Backwaters and collaboration with marching band MEUTE further demonstrate their instinct for creating immersive experiences that connect electronic music with the physical world.

The rework follows the critically acclaimed release of 'Inert', Rasmussen's most ambitious solo project to date. The album saw the producer explore themes of inertia, creative freedom and personal momentum, while incorporating his own vocals more prominently than ever before. Across the record, intricate electronic textures, subtle melodic shifts and rhythmic drive come together to create a sound that reflects Rasmussen's extensive experience as a producer, songwriter, musician and mix engineer. Having spent the past decade developing a singular approach to electronic music that sits comfortably between the intimate and the club-focused, 'Doom (pølaroit Rework)', sees that world opened up once again through the lens of an act equally interested in atmosphere, movement and emotional depth.
