ALEX FARELL ANNOUNCES DEBUT ALBUM ‘YOUNGEST IN CHARGE’ WITH A THE FIRST SINGLE ‘CLUB ACID’ THIS JULY

A ten-track journey across all the facets of techno and rave culture from one of the scene's fastest-rising producers from Liverpool

Alex Farell announces his debut album ‘Youngest In Charge’ on the 24th of July to coincide with the first single ‘Club Acid’. The album arrives on 30th of October 2026 via Sara Landry’s HEKATE imprint. Spanning ten tracks, the record showcases the full breadth of his evolving sound, drawing together hard dance and techno with influences of trance, acid and psytrance into a cohesive body of work built around movement, tension and peak-time energy.

Alex is one of the youngest DJ’s in the music scene, with an intro to music like no other, he started out DJ’ing at home at just 12 years old, landing some of his first shows at 14, legally chaperoned by his parents and agent. Now at still only 19, he has played some of the world’s best clubs and festivals including Creamfields, Parklife, Blackstone Warehouse, Warehouse Project and Terminal V Festival.

The first of 3 singles to be released is the warehouse-focused ‘Club Acid’. A track that blends rave-inspired acid techno with fluid grooves, evolving melodic modulation and relentless forward momentum. A track that was made with newfound inspiration when he was signed to some of his favourite labels, he wanted to create something that some of his idols would play, and they did just that. “It’s one of my favourite tracks to play on a big stage, as it really gets the crowd going wild” adds Alex.

Rather than simply collecting peak-time club records, ‘Youngest In Charge’ presents a producer confidently refining his artistic identity. Every track balances underground intensity with cinematic

depth while demonstrating why Alex Farell has rapidly become one of the most exciting names emerging from the harder edge of contemporary electronic music.

MOBLACK, BEDOUIN AND FEKI STATION REWORK SALIF KEITA CLASSIC ‘MANDJOU’ ON DECCA RECORDS FRANCE

MoBlack has collaborated with Bedouin and Feki Station on a new rework of Salif Keita's iconic 'Mandjou,' out Friday 24 July via Decca Records France. The superb new release follows the worldwide success of MoBlack's official remix of Salif Keita's 'Yamore', which went on to achieve Diamond certification in France and five-times Diamond certification globally.

BUY / STREAM: MOBLACK, SALIF KEITA, BEDOUIN & FEKI STATION – MANDJOU

Feki Station has released with renowned labels like MoBlack Records and picked up significant support from industry heavyweights such as Black Coffee, Keinemusik, Damian Lazarus and more, while the Bedouin duo have long been at the forefront of melodic, organic and deep house as DJs, producers and residents of their own acclaimed SAGA party in Ibiza.

This latest collaboration revisits another of Keita's best-known recordings and pairs his original vocals with contemporary Afro house production. According to MoBlack, the track has been a regular feature in his DJ sets for more than a year before its official release and has been gradually building anticipation on dancefloors around the world.

MoBlack said: "Mandjou began as a spark in 2024 and naturally evolved over the following years into a collaboration with Bedouin, Salif Keita and Feki Station. It was one of those records that took time to find its true identity, with each of us adding something meaningful along the way. Blending organic instrumentation with electronic textures, the track is built around Salif Keita's timeless voice and a groove that grows naturally without forcing the moment. For me, 'Mandjou' is about patience, connection, and letting music speak for itself, coming alive when shared together on the dancefloor."

The new version blends organic instrumentation with Afro house rhythms, combining deep, tribal percussion, melodic arrangements and Salif Keita's distinctive vocal performance into a contemporary interpretation of the original.

This is another tasteful collision of club and world music cultures from the ever innovative MoBlack.
