EXHALE UNVEILS ITS SUMMER DC10 LINE-UP

AMELIE IS BACK FOR A SECOND SEASON

After a successful first year in Ibiza, the EXHALE community return for an 8-week residency at DC-10.

Alongside the weekly club shows, starting July 26 and taking place every Wednesday till September 13, Amelie Lens revealed the full line up that will champion the future sounds of techno on the island.

“Last year we watched as our community grew, and we got to know the people that came each week to support the event. I am so excited to see these familiar faces again and to make new memories” says Amelie Lens.

EXHALE returns to Ibiza off the back of one of their most successful years to date having just returned from a first sold out US weekend, a 7,000+ mega rave in their home town of Antwerp as well as a huge VA currently dominating the Beatport charts.

Looking to grow on the success of last year and cement their position as the go to spot for island techno, Amelie Lens has invited 50+ artists including Marcel Dettmann, Bambounou, DJ Bone, Dana Montana, SPFDJ and of course Amelie Lens and Farrago. The residency has doubled in size to cater for the islands growing demand for techno and EXHALE will be revealing a host of events and activations to accompany the residency over the coming weeks.

EXHALE has always been powered by techno, driven by community and Ibiza will be no different. The brand and its loyal legion of techno lovers want to change the perception of the island, dropping any exclusivity that may have been synonymous with Ibiza over the last decade. EXHALE x DC-10 is the creation of a space where everyone is included, no boundaries, no attitudes. Each and every raver, DJ and industry worker, united under the techno banner.

Moments In Time is a force to be reckoned with in techno music. Founded by Rudosa, a talented producer and DJ in his own right, MIT has a reputation for releasing high-quality, cutting-edge techno tracks that push the boundaries of the genre. With a focus on hard techno and hardgroove sounds, the label has quickly become a go-to destination for techno lovers worldwide.

Set for release on 12th May, Moments In Time welcomes the fourth instalment of its increasingly popular ‘Moments’ compilation. Moments Vol. 4 showcases a carefully curated lineup of hard techno and hardgroove names, including David Strasser, Tham, BLICZ & GEERSON, Militiā, Claas Herrmann, Amstra & Løinam, Konstrukt Alliance, SAMOH & NYCTONIAN alongside Rudosa himself.

Not for the faint-hearted, the compilation packs a mighty punch with slamming drums, industrial percussion, ominous melodic and explicitly underground flavours throughout. Each track is designed to get your heart racing, feet stomping, and fists pumping with pulsating beats, driving basslines, and gritty sounds that will keep your hair on end.

MAZARE FUSES POP PUNK AND DRUM & BASS SEAMLESSLY ON 4-TRACK 'DREAMS ONLY LAST FOR A NIGHT' ON LOST IN DREAMS RECORDS

Italian producer Mazare is bringing his unique sound to Lost In Dreams with the release of his new EP ‘Dreams Only Last For a Night.’ The four-track offering sees the talented artist fusing pop punk and drum & bass for an extraordinary listening experience. 

The project opens with the lead single “Stay” alongside singer-songwriter Josh Rubin. It’s an emotional ballad with an energetic edge. Rubin’s impassioned vocals drift between sultry and sentimental. The stripped-back introduction lets the vocal serve as the focal point before Mazare carefully begins amping up the energy. The calm ballad evolves as triumphant synths and dynamic percussion join the party, taking it into full-blown DnB territory. The feisty drops add a punk punch that contrasts Josh Rubin’s emotional delivery. For fans craving a mellowed-out, full-on ballad, the pair also offer an acoustic rendition that closes the EP out and deepens the feels. 

“Another Day” serves as the release's focal point and sees Mazare collaborating with Cape Town’s band Opposite the Other for another genre-bending adventure. Sharp violin melodies, spiritual chants, and a twangy, optimistic topline create an indie folk aesthetic that’s balanced with drum & bass and alt-rock sounds produce some truly special work. Raging guitar power chords and punchy percussion dance together in harmony as Opposite the Other belts out the tenacious chorus. The upbeat anthem is an ode to perseverance that will give you the energy you need to get through all of life’s hurdles. 

Rounding out the project is the Sofuu-assisted “Wayfarer,” a ballad for star-crossed lovers sharing a connection that spans any distance. It’s summer love in sonic form. Sofuu’s lyrics drift between vivid love-filled imagery and a sense of longing. There’s a pop-leaning catchiness while the production once again moves into the realms of drum and bass to deliver maximum impact. Mazare masterfully pulls back the production to let the vocals hit, in addition to ramping up the backing to explode at the opportune times. Nature-inspired atmospheres and transcendent synths paint a vivid picture that you can’t help but get lost in.  

Mazare reflects on the project saying, “This song and this EP, in general, is the start of a new chapter for me. I’ve experimented for years looking for the perfect balance between pop rock and drum & bass, and this first single and the whole EP represent ‘square one’ of my melodic sound going forward. Super excited for everyone to hear what I have in store and feeling grateful that all this new music found home at Lost In Dreams.”

Italy-based Mazare is a melodic-leaning producer carving out his own lane. His music has gained radio support from big-name artists including Illenium’s ‘Phoenix Radio’, Gryffin’s ‘Elevate Radio,’ Alison Wonderland’s ‘Wonderland Radio,’ and ARMNHMR’s ‘Infinite Skies Radio.’

‘Dreams Only Last For a Night’ marks an important new era for Mazare’s artistic evolution. The project expertly fuses the sounds he holds dear while leveraging the impressive vocal talents of Josh Rubin, Opposite the Other, and Sofuu for a moving and impactful listening experience.
