TAPE B RELEASES DEBUT ALBUM GHOSTS IN THE STATIC

DELIVERS HIS MOST AMBITIOUS PROJECT TO DATE,
A LOVE LETTER TO THE UKF ERA OF DUBSTEP AND THE CULTURE THAT SHAPED HIM

ALBUM FEATURES ZAYTOVEN, EFFIN, DANI KING, + MORE

After years of establishing himself as one of modern bass music’s most distinctive artists, Tape B releases his long-awaited debut album, Ghosts In The Static, available October 2. The album marks the biggest conceptual release of his career to date and the first time he has set out to write a complete album through the style of music that first inspired him to start producing.

More than a collection of singles, Ghosts In The Static is a love letter to the sounds and culture that shaped his journey - blending the nostalgic influence of classic dubstep with a modern production approach that is just as personal as it is distinctly Tape B.

Rather than simply revisiting the past, Tape B uses Ghosts In The Static to explore the connection between the music that inspired an entire generation and the sounds shaping electronic music today. Drawing from the cinematic atmosphere, heavy low-end, and emotional depth of the early UKF era of dubstep, the album blends old-school and new-school influences to capture something timeless and familiar while introducing a new generation of listeners to the sounds that first inspired him.

The album opens with "Signature Sound," a collaboration with legendary Atlanta producer Zaytoven, whose work alongside Gucci Mane helped define modern trap music before expanding to collaborations with Future, Migos, Young Thug, Lil Uzi Vert, 21 Savage, and countless others. The pairing reflects Tape B's longstanding admiration for hip-hop production and sets the tone for a 12-track project that blends his signature low-end production with melodic songwriting and the nostalgic textures that have become synonymous with his sound.

Throughout Ghosts In The Static, Tape B continues expanding the identity of his artist project - connecting the old-school and new-school influences that have shaped his musical perspective while pushing beyond expectations of what modern bass music can represent.

The album establishes Tape B as a refined producer, songwriter, and album artist with a fully realized creative identity.

While Tape B has built a global following through sonic storytelling, creative experimentation, and his ability to connect old-school influences with contemporary bass music, Ghosts In The Static represents the fullest realization of that approach to date. The album is designed as a complete listening experience - a cohesive journey through the sounds that shaped him, reinterpreted through his own perspective.

At a time when many emerging artists are chasing trends, short-form virality, and algorithmic growth, Ghosts In The Static argues for a different model - one built on community, artistic identity, and the belief that complete bodies of work still matter.

Few electronic artists have experienced a rise quite like Tape B.

Born in Istanbul before immigrating to Florida at three years old, Berk discovered music production while studying at the University of Central Florida. After secretly using leftover scholarship money to purchase his first production equipment, he spent years developing his sound before a pivotal moment at Lost Lands in 2019 convinced him to fully pursue music as a career.

When the pandemic eliminated a post-college job opportunity in 2020, Berk committed entirely to Tape B.

Over the past several years, he has cultivated one of bass music’s most passionate communities through original releases, sonic storytelling, creative experimentation, and a distinctive ability to connect generations of music fans through shared nostalgia. His rise has been defined by an understanding of how past and present - old-school and new-school - can coexist, allowing longtime bass music fans to reconnect with familiar emotions while introducing younger listeners to the sounds that helped shape the genre.

That momentum has led to sold-out headline performances at Red Rocks Amphitheatre, The Salt Shed, Shrine Expo Hall, Echostage, The Armory, and more than 120,000 headline tickets sold throughout 2025, along with collaborations with hip-hop legends Zaytoven and Juicy J, and headlining electronic acts including GRiZ, Zeds Dead, Subtronics, Of The Trees, Ganja White Night, and others.

His debut album arrives amid one of Tape B’s biggest years yet, following the launch of the Summer Program Tour alongside Levity - one of the first bass-focused amphitheater tours in North America - and continued momentum surrounding his expanding live presence.

With Ghosts In The Static, Tape B delivers his first album as a continuation of where the project has always been headed: honoring the music that inspired him, finding new ways to connect old-school and new-school sounds, and continuing to evolve the music and community he has built.

The path to this moment was unconventional. Rather than relying primarily on a traditional DSP-first system, Tape B built much of his early community through SoundCloud, using the platform as a home for music discovery and direct connection with listeners. Original music, unofficial releases, IDs, mixtapes, and fan-shared live moments helped create an audience that eventually translated online discovery into one of electronic music’s fastest-growing live communities.

Along the way, Berk has quietly influenced a new generation of bass artists, helping shape modern internet-first artist development, signature producer tags, fan-driven music discovery, and live experiences that prioritize community as much as performance.

That history remains an important piece of the Tape B story, but Ghosts In The Static represents its natural continuation: a debut album rooted in the music that made him want to become an artist in the first place, shaped by everything he has learned since, and built to connect those influences with the next generation of bass music fans.

Born in Istanbul and raised in Florida, Tape B discovered music production while studying at the University of Central Florida, where he began developing the sound and creative vision that would eventually become the Tape B project. After discovering electronic music through the dubstep era that shaped his early influences, he spent years refining his approach — blending nostalgic textures, heavy bass production, and hip-hop-inspired rhythm into a sound uniquely his own.

Over the past several years, Tape B has emerged as one of the most influential new voices in modern bass music, building a dedicated global community around his ability to connect the sounds that shaped electronic music’s past with the direction of its future. His acclaimed EPs Hallow Tapes, A Dose of Nostalgia, and Over Saturated have established his signature sound, earning support from artists including Subtronics, GRiZ, Zeds Dead, Excision, Ganja White Night, Wooli, and Peekaboo.

Driven by a deep appreciation for the culture that first inspired him, Tape B has built his career around community, creativity, and creating experiences that bring listeners together. That connection has translated into sold-out headline performances at venues including Red Rocks Amphitheatre, The Salt Shed, Shrine Expo Hall, Echostage, and The Armory, alongside collaborations with artists such as, Juicy J, GRiZ, Zeds Dead, Subtronics, Of The Trees, and Ganja White Night.

With his debut album Ghosts In The Static, Tape B delivers his most ambitious creative statement to date — a tribute to the music that inspired him while continuing to evolve the sound and community he has built. The album reflects his ongoing mission to bridge generations of electronic music, introducing new listeners to the sounds that shaped him while pushing modern bass music forward.
