Building on the 50 sustainability initiatives successfully executed in 2024, Ultra’s award-winning Mission:Home program is returning for its fifth iteration with over 60 initiatives focused on pollution prevention, nature preservation, waste reduction, climate action, and community engagement. A few of this year’s new efforts include the launch of the Mission:Home Artist Alliance, empowering Ultra artists to embrace sustainability with resources and fan-driven initiatives, and transitioning 2 additional stages from generator to grid power. Additionally, nature-based glass recycling will transform festival glass waste into sand for coastal restoration and flood mitigation in Florida.
As part of their long-established “Leave No Trace” and recycling initiatives, Ultra will once again partner with Clean Vibes to keep grounds clean and sort waste behind the scenes, aiming to reach 100% recycling acceptance for the fifth year in a row. Ultra has also diverted over 73K pounds of waste from landfills by rescuing food, beverages, and materials like wood to either donate or repurpose them through community organizations.
The program’s impactful efforts earned Mission:Home top honors, including several Florida Festivals and Events Association Awards and a World Sustainability Award. Its major accomplishments include diverting over 293K pounds of waste from landfill, eliminating 2.1 Million single-use plastic items and reaching 7.4 Million people with its environmental education campaign.
