Basscon Records continues showcasing exciting talent in the hard dance realm through the newest installment of their ‘Devotions’ compilation series.
Basscon Records presents the fourth installment of its ongoing ‘Devotions’ compilation series, released on June 21st. Chapter 4 is a praiseworthy 10-track offering, which finds the label paying homage to the most exciting up-and-coming talent sprawled across the international hard dance circuit.
From start to finish, the carefully curated package is slam-packed with euphoric hardstyle, adrenaline-rushing hardcore, and blistering rave-ready uptempo. The release includes new music from TBR, Haarley, RAYZEN, Trye, ALWZ SNNY, VISHY, Rawframez, ANOLUXX, ÆLINN, Rollz Royce, Tomsku, and Domina. The entire track list is filled with buzzing artists who are fresh faces to the catalog, making their label debut with a bang.
Starting the compilation off strong, Germany-based TBR teams up with Harleey on “Brave.” A powerful opener, the collaboration combines commanding vocals with radiant synths, poignant keys, and impactful kicks, delivering a high-octane anthem designed to make the dancefloor come alive.
TBR speaks to the energizing vibe of the track, saying, “This record is sure to get your heart racing and your feet moving. From hard dance sounds to anthemic vocals, this record has something for everyone. So, get ready to let loose and dance the night away.”
Triumphant duo RAYZEN has reimagined an unforgettable classic between two icons, Swedish House Mafia and Knife Party, putting their own rave-ready take on their track, “Antidote.” Infusing the melody and vocal lead with rawstyle kicks and a heavy atmosphere, RAYZEN has put a unique twist on this crowd-favorite, creating a fresh and captivating sound.
Summing up their creation short and sweet, RAYZEN says, “There's no ‘Antidote.’ We hope you’ll enjoy this new track!”
Based out of Munich, Germany, the fast-rising producer TRYE skillfully pulls at the heartstrings with his serotonin-soaked creation. On “One More Time,” he combines his distinctive euphoric sound with bright piano keys, fuzzy guitar chords, and the perfect dose of romance tying it all together.
TRYE touches on the song's sentiment, saying, “‘One More Time’ is the mix of emotions and hard-hitting sounds you were missing. This track has actual emotions and a goosebump-giving melody sending you straight into a touching love story imagined by the amazing vocalist ILITSYA. ALWZ SNNY was named the victor by the legendary Darren Styles, as part of the Discovery Project’s DJ / producer competition hosted at last year’s Escape Halloween. He takes the title seriously as he makes his way over to the label with his debut offering, brightening things up with his happy hardcore number “Beautiful Day.”
This track brings a radiant touch, boasting charming vocals set against a lively and uplifting melody, offering a track that is as uplifting as it is powerful.
Speaking on the meaning behind his track, ALWZ SNNY explains: “‘Beautiful Day' is a mindset! No matter what storms come in and out of your life, your happiness comes from a place within yourself. I created 'Beautiful Day’ to remind myself that, and to channel my energy and attitude toward that happy frequency!”
Hailing from Frankfurt, VISHY the emerging name from Germany delivers her thrilling track via “U&I,” blending a flurry of feel-good elements to create a flirty yet fiery hardcore cut. “U&I” is an impassioned song about ending the night off alone with that special someone, merging passionate vocals with pulsating beats, creating a track that is both heartfelt and exhilarating.
VISHY spoke about her personal connection to the track, stating, “This song transcends being just a song for me. It carries the story of VISHY forward, weaving together all my favorite electronic genres in a way that deeply resonates with me.”
Based in Wales, Rawframez is fast becoming a household name within hardcore and rawstyle circles. His new track “Sledgehammer” certainly lives up to its title, reinforced with relentless rhythms that deliver a sonic blow from its ominous melodies, distorted sub-bass, and aggressive kicks making it a standout hardcore anthem.
Rawframez shares his excitement around releasing with the label, saying, “I’m happy to be able to release this track with such an awesome label and hope that you all enjoy this track.”
Hard techno head ANOLUXX is a masked-donning producer pulling influences from cyberpunk and the darker reaches of techno music. He delivers an acid-fueled club tool titled “VORSICHT.” German for “caution,” the foreboding track is an intense ride, blending dark, atmospheric elements with pounding rhythms that demand attention. It was created for his upcoming debut at the label’s flagship Wasteland gathering in SoCal, alongside heavy-hitters Radical Redemption, Code Black, Atmozfears, Frontliner, Omar Santana, Coone, and many more.
ANOLUXX breaks down the motivation behind the song: “This track was heavily inspired after being booked for Wasteland. I wanted to create something with high energy and a minor hardstyle feeling to match the intensity of the event.”
A collaborative effort, “Day Of Reckoning” sees Dutch producer Ephoric teaming up with the Netherlands-based vocalist ÆLINN to craft a cinematic hardstyle track fusing both of their strengths. Settling the score, her haunting vocals are oozing with
suspense, as they glide above melancholic piano chords and oscillating synths, culminating in a powerful drop.
The aptly named “Rave Culture” is a high-energy track that encapsulates the spirit of the rave scene, with LA-based uptempo producer Rollz Royce and Belgium’s own Tomsku to deliver a frenetic, pulse-raising collab celebrating the sounds of days bygone.
Rollz Royce shared the inspiration he shared with the collaborator that led to the final product: “I still listen to old-school gabber to this day, so I had been wanting to do a fusion of that old-school hardcore sound with new uptempo zaag kicks, and it all just came together so nicely! I enlisted my friend from Belgium, Tomsku, to collaborate with me on this track because our styles mesh very well and I knew he was also into that old-school hardcore sound!”
Closing the compilation in no small part is another fledgling talent from Los Angeles. Domina’s “Turn Up” is an adrenaline-rushing hard techno track that ensures the energy remains high until the very end, leaving listeners yearning for more.
Domina described the effort she put into creating the track, saying, “I had the idea for this track for about two months, but it took me an entire month to sonically put together what I thought conveyed the sound of ‘Turn Up’”
Every track brings something new and refreshing to the table, making the ‘DEVOTIONS: Chapter 4’ compilation a veritable shrine for pure hard dance excellence.
