SOUTH AFRICA'S JON CASEY DELIVERS HIS DANCEFLOOR-FOCUSED 140 DUBSTEP SINGLE "GIMME" ON BASSRUSH RECORDS

The South African sensation returns to Bassrush with a massive 140 dubstep single.

South African producer Jon Casey is a force of nature who has been storming the bass scene with a multitude of exceptional releases across trap, deep dubstep, drum & bass, halftime, breaks, and more. Unleashing his debut single on Bassrush Records comes “Gimme,” a boundary-pushing 140 dubstep anthem.

Gimme” blurs the line between gritty and addictive, amounting to an anthemic 140 banger. Pulse-raising basslines set the tone from the first note, while crisp claps and understated chants set the stage for a ravenous underground scene. The relentless vocal loop anchors the track, embodying a catchy swagger that makes it approachable and ever-pleasing. Industrial flourishes round out the sonic palette before the track descends into the soul-rattling drops, which are built around warbling leads, throbbing sub-bass, sharp accents, and chirping tones. Anticipatory breakdowns and pristine breakbeat fills help break up the bass and intensify the impact of the massive drops. Combining filthy sound design, pounding bass, and infectious lyrics that continue to clamoring for more, “Gimme” is a weapon that will be destroying DJ sets and setting playlists ablaze for the foreseeable future.

Breaking down the vibe of his new single, Jon Casey says, “‘Gimme’ came into fruition when I was experimenting with vocals and trying to find a way to create a song that will get people moving on the dancefloor without being too complex. Something palatable.”

The track marks Jon Casey’s second release with the Bassrush label, following his remix of “MASHUP” on REAPER’s ‘DISRUPTOR (Remixes)’ album.
