UK-bred, British Columbia-based genre-bending producer Gl0bal seamlessly blends electronic worlds. Known for his diverse mix of trap, bass, and dubstep, Gl0bal’s hard-hitting sonics have garnered him attention from electronic music heavyweights such as DJ Snake, Tiësto, Hardwell, The Chainsmokers, and Major Lazer; releases through influential Flux Pavilion imprint Circus Records and Excision’s Subsidia Records; performance slots at festivals such as Lost Lands; and a nomination for Electronic and Dance Artist Of The Year at the Western Canadian Music Awards.

Now, Gl0bal is stretching his artistic scope even further as he gears up to release his new LP, Judgement Day, due out in February 2023. The upcoming album promises to provide listeners an expansive glimpse into the producer’s artistry and craft - a full-length experience that will spotlight Gl0bal’s technical mastery and show-stopping bass sensibilities.

Fans can get their first taste of Judgement Day with “Demon Hours,” the album’s lead single. The track is a collaboration with viral London rapper Big Jest and it combines UK drill with hard trap and bass - a vibrant mix that effectively incorporates Gl0bal’s cultural roots into his dark, trap-heavy brand.

Demon Hours” kicks off with an ominous, swelling strings arrangement before introducing UK drill hi-hat rhythms and an ethereal vocal sample. Big Jest comes in with a fiery verse, attacking the beat with his characteristic wit and charisma over deep drill bass tones and a symphonic backing instrumental.

Demon Hours” slowly builds from there, upping the anticipation with Big Jest repeating the song’s title phrase and incorporating a slew of heart-pumping risers. The song then drops into a section of blaring synths, industrial rhythmic textures, and jaw-dropping, distorted bass notes - a mind-melting, all-encompassing drop that exemplifies Gl0bal as a master of left-field bass music.

With a blend of British hip-hop and trunk-rattling, bass-heavy electronic music, “Demon Hours” showcases Gl0bal’s new sonic direction in vivid detail. It also adds a new layer to the Gl0bal character - one that promises to evolve in surprising ways as listeners await his final, holistic form with the Judgement Day LP.
