IMMERSIVE MUSIC AND ART EXPERIENCE RETROSPEKT ANNOUNCES INCLUSIVE LINEUP FEATURING HEADLINERS SOHMI AND LIFE ON PLANETS

New quarterly event series will kick off Saturday, November 5 at Ground Level Studios in Downtown Los Angeles

Diversity-driven event production and experiential marketing company Ideaison launches RETROSPEKT, the in-person extension of their groundbreaking virtual event series, in an intimate, immersive new live-show format that brings their mission home to Los Angeles.

The immersive music experience of RETROSPEKT will kick off the new quarterly party on November 5th, 2022, at Ground Level Studios in Kashuk’s hometown of Los Angeles. RETROSPEKT will feature 360-projection mapping of art throughout the whole dance floor and multiple immersive “selfie” style rooms transforming the intimate downtown setting with performances by SOHMI, Life on Planets, MAAD, RM47, and Maddy Maia B2B Tottie (Sisters of Sound Music).

Furthermore, AR-technology headsets will be available for use, providing the audience with incredibly realistic sound and imagery while transporting them to a completely different atmosphere. Food trucks will be available, and there will be live tattoo artists. Tickets are now available for purchase, starting at $15 for early birds and $35 for others, with all tickets including 2 DRINKS for guests 21+.

RETROSPEKT is a female-founded independent organization built during the height of the pandemic with a desire to advocate for women, people of color, and LGBTQIA+ people in the arts, created by talent buyer and small business owner Lauren Kashuk

Entertainment entrepreneur Lauren Kashuk is honored to present the latest installment of the RETROSPEKT event series via Ideaison, the company she developed during the height of social unrest in 2020. Ideaison is “a portmanteau of the two words idea and liaisons”  with a focus on diversity and inclusion to create memorable experiences while hyper-focusing on relevant culture and creative storytelling. In the 2020 virtual series, Ideaison took a stance on booking artists such as Moore Kismet, MORGXN, Kaleena Zanders, and LP Giobbi. Ideaison and RETROSPEKT are innovating the industry, and the way events are thrown by sticking true to their values of equity across the performing arts.

About the live event, Kashuk shares that this is a “chance to produce an event my way, with a unique vision. This year it means continuing to advocate for those who aren’t given the chance to shine by serving as an alternate vehicle for them. The tables will never turn, and women will never be able to have the decision-making at major music companies and influence culture if they don’t come together and start to throw shows their own way. It’s different from any other event because I’ve yet to see an event like this. So it’s created for my community, by my community. To me, the series represents hope.”

Ensuring RETROSPEKT is an inviting space for all who enter, the event series has partnered with mental-health charity To Write Love On Her Arms and mental-health organization BroglieBox. The November 5th event will feature a unique TWLOHA activation pop-up with materials available. Additionally, BroglieBox will have mental wellness boxes available for purchase on-site.
