The two UK producers team up to unleash an electrifying collab reminiscent of classic hardcore on the Basscon label.
UK-based producer Dougal joins forces with Jakka-B to produce a timeless hardcore track, “Let’s Go,” which is set to be released on June 7th via Basscon Records. This high-energy track is powered by classic rave melodies, quintessential whistle tones, chugging basslines, frenetic drums, and party-starting vocal cues.
Jakka-B mentioned the duo’s aim to blend classic hardcore themes with modern musical elements in the track, saying, “We wanted to create a track that captured the typical ‘UK / happy hardcore’ sound by creating a high-energy club track, thumping kicks and pace percussion. We also went about incorporating lots of sounds and samples that lent themselves to rave music whilst also adding elements that would be instantly recognisable on the dancefloor.”
Hailing from Northampton, Dougal is a seasoned producer and is recognized as one of the seminal DJs from the UK hardcore movement. His influence extends globally, having performed at festivals and clubs around the world, including the HTID event in Australia, where he dropped the ID to crowds of 20,000 attendees.
Jakka-B is a producer from England that has become a relentless force in the UK hardcore scene. He is a regular on Basscon Records, releasing previous singles “Get Up” with Sihk and “Unknown Secrets” alongside Macks Wolf. Additionally, he has released remixes for esteemed artists like Hixxy, Jordan Suckley, and Kutski.
Through “Let’s Go,” the two producers continue to make their mark on the UK hardcore scene—as well as on the global circuit—creating an energetic track that appeals to both classic hardcore enthusiasts and new listeners.
