TRIPOLISM, NANDU AND RADECKT RETURN TO ULTRA RECORDS FOR ‘SOULTRAIN’

Out now via Ultra Records, ‘Soultrain’ follows the international success of Tripolism, Nandu and Radeckt’s debut collaboration ‘Dope Dance’ in August 2023.

If the last six months are anything to go by, Danish outfit Tripolism look to be on a fast track to the upper echelons of dance music. Following the resounding success of their previous three singles ‘Dope Dance’ (August 2023), Luna Love (October 2023) and ‘Whatever We Call It’ (January 2024), the Scandinavian triptych now continues its rich vein of form under esteemed electronic music house, Ultra Records, unveiling their brand new single ‘Soultrain’ alongside fellow Danes – and ‘Dope Dance ‘collaborators – Nandu and Radeckt.

Having already garnered support from the likes of Keinemusik, Diplo, Steve Angello, Kölsch, Âme, Dixon, Gordo and Mahmut Orhan (amongst others), Tripolism’s latest cut is another masterclass in spirited, light-hearted house music from a group whose creativity and multi-genre approach has set them in a league of their own since forming in 2021. The collaborative success of Copenhagen’s most exciting musical clique – Tripolism, Nandu and Radeckt – was tried and tested on ‘Dope Dance’ last year, which subsequently earned a place in Pete Tong’s Top 5 Essential New Tunes of 2023. With this brand new record already looking set to follow in its famous footsteps, Tripolism, Nandu and Radeckt aim to bring forth yet more unique Scandinavian influence to house music’s Chicagoan roots.

Out now, ‘Soultrain’ serves up three-minutes of unequivocally cool synth patterns, groove-inducing rhythms and nostalgic electronica, as Tripolism enchant listeners with their instantly recognisable sound palette and playful melodic flair. Bolstered by its unmistakeable vocal line, the record’s throbbing basslines and shimmering synthesizers make for an infectious listening experience and provide a bona fide taste into an upcoming run of new music that looks set to soundtrack the summer.

Speaking about the single, Tripolism commented:

"In case you haven't caught on yet, Soultrain is like the cool cousin of Dope Dance. We had a blast creating Dope Dance with Nandu and Radeckt, and the good vibes were so infectious that we thought, "Why not do it again?" Not with the pressure of replicating DD, but simply because we were riding the wave of enjoyment and having fun. Soultrain is essentially a joyride – open to interpretation, but above all, we're just hoping it brings good times to anyone tuning in. Soultrain also gives a nod to hip hop's tradition of self-reference. Listen for the familiar synth from Dope Dance in the track's final part, and eagle-eyed fans may spot subtle nods in the lyrics. It's our way of paying homage to where we've been while still cruising on this new musical journey. Enjoy the ride!"
