The trance music veteran debuts on Dreamstate Records with his latest techno-fueled single
Greg Downey is touching down on Dreamstate records with his latest trance single, “Thunder,” releasing on October 11th.
Serving as his debut on the burgeoning label, “Thunder” is a techno-laced weapon built upon a foundation of slamming drums and pulsing energy. The
track weaves together head-spinning vocal murmurs, scattered arpeggiations, and menacing acid lines, all wrapped in a relentless drive that keeps the tension strong and seemingly never ending. Striking the optimal balance between
peak-time and psychoactive treatment, Greg Downey is sure to keep the heart and mind racing at the speed of lightning.

Born and bred in Belfast, Greg Downey is a venerated figure from the UK trance scene, with the stalwart standing behind a prolific career on the brink of
reaching the two-decade milestone. His prolific output has seen numerous Beatport chart-topping singles and previous collaborations alongside industry heavyweights including Aly & Fila, Alex Di Stefano, and Ben Nicky.
Additionally, he has provided high-profile remixes for the likes of John Askew, Simon Patterson, and Stoneface & Terminal. His music has been touted by notable artists including Armin van Buuren, Gareth Emery, Paul van Dyk, Ferry Corsten, Above & Beyond, and Sander van Doorn.
Looking ahead, Greg Downey is gearing up for his next major live performance at Dreamstate SoCal in November, as well as a December performance at Galaxy Station Music Festival at Bayou Music Center in Houston.

Having graced the decks on almost every continent, the Belfast-born Greg Downey is no amateur when it comes to the art of DJing. Having impressed the promoter of Gategrasher while playing at an afterparty in Ibiza, Greg was asked to play at Space the following week. Very shortly afterwards, Greg broke through the UK trance scene, playing at major shows such as Gatecrasher, Godskitchen, Slinky, Inside Out, Goodgreef, and Passion. What was every aspiring DJ’s dream to travel the world soon became a reality for Greg. He was crisscrossing the globe flying from New York City to Sydney to Ibiza to Shanghai to Buenos Aires to London playing to massive crowds.
