French DJ / Producer Nico de Andrea strikes again with « Sun in Her Eyes », a new house track featuring Canadian singer-songwriter Lola Melita.
Supported by Black Coffee, David Guetta and Bob Sinclair, Nico de Andrea got his break in 2018 with the single The Shape, named « song of the year » by DJ Mag. Since then, he built his name in the club scene by mixing at Pacha Ibiza, Ministry of Sound in London or Base in Dubaï, to name a few.
Written and performed by singer-songwriter Lola Melita, « Sun in Her Eyes » is about being blinded by the person you’re infatuated with.
« The song plays on this sort of idealism and romanticism I feel when swept off my feet by someone. It’s like I know I’m not fully seeing clearly but I’m ok with it. I’d rather be in the experience of it than not feel at all. It also reminded me of The Beatles' lyrics in Lucy In the Sky with Diamonds « look for the girl with the sun in her eyes and she’s gone ». I enjoy what this phrase evokes, maybe it is she that is so far up that she’s somehow unattainable… »
