MARTIN GARRIX ANNOUNCES DEBUT POP ALBUM 'MARTY'

Featuring U2, Ed Sheeran, Madonna, Aitana & More To Be Released On March 5, 2027

Multi-platinum, chart-topping Dutch DJ and producer Martin Garrix announces his long-awaited debut pop album, MARTY, out March 5, 2027 via STMPD Records/Darkroom Records. More than a decade in the making, the 14-track project marks a new chapter in Garrix’s career, blending pop and dance while bringing his own vocals to the forefront. Featuring collaborations with U2, Ed Sheeran, Madonna, Aitana, and more to be announced, the album finds Garrix exploring a more personal and vulnerable side of his artistry, with Bono also contributing as a co-writer. Announced during an exclusive Spotify Pop-Up show kicking off Amsterdam Dance Event, the album news was met with excitement as he treated top listeners to a first listen of several unreleased tracks, fueling anticipation for the album.

MARTY is Garrix’s most personal statement to date, pairing introspective storytelling with feel-good production as he explores his evolution both as an artist and as a person. A reflection of who he was, who he is, and who he’s becoming, the album offers an intimate look at the person behind the global superstar. From a kid making music in his bedroom to one of the most influential figures in electronic music, Garrix reflects on growing up in the spotlight, navigating fame, and staying true to the passion that started it all. Bringing his journey full circle, the album takes its name from his first-ever DJ alias, DJ Marty, a nod to his early slogan, “Party with DJ Marty,” and the kid who dreamed of making music for the world.

“Catharina,” named after Garrix’s mother, opens the album with a tribute to the person who first nurtured his love of music and encouraged him to learn to play instruments. From there, MARTY unfolds as a lifecycle, tracing his journey from childhood and upbringing to his rise as a DJ and ultimately his vision of the afterlife. Each track represents a different chapter, with intentional transitions and key changes weaving together a cohesive narrative. Marking 30 years of Garrix, the album reflects on how far he’s come while embracing the feeling that he’s only just getting started. At its heart is the concept of “eternal love,” exploring the belief that love transcends life and endures long after we're gone.

A decade in the making, MARTY distills more than 400 songs into Garrix’s most revealing body of work yet, showcasing a side of his artistry rarely seen beyond the DJ booth. A key mentor throughout the process, U2 frontman Bono encouraged Garrix to find his voice, coaching him through vocal techniques and pushing him to perform with greater vulnerability. Having long written songs on guitar and recorded demo vocals for other artists, Garrix now steps into the spotlight as a vocalist in his own right. Shaped by years of creative relationships forged around the world, the album brings together global influences and collaborators, reflecting the international reach of his career.

Garrix says of the album: “Even though I’ve been doing this for most of my life, I still feel like I’m just at the beginning. That’s really what this album is about – growth, moving through different chapters of life, and understanding that the love we give and the energy we put out into the world don’t just disappear when we’re gone. I want to take people with me on that journey and let them experience all those different stages of growth alongside me.”

Martin Garrix recently wrapped the first leg of his biggest and most ambitious headline tour to date, the Martin Garrix Americas Tour, before heading overseas for a major European festival run that included headline performances at Tomorrowland and Creamfields, alongside his celebrated residency at Ushuaïa Ibiza. The tour resumed last week with two sold-out nights at Mexico City’s iconic Palacio de los Deportes, where Garrix premiered a new collaboration with globally renowned Spanish singer Aitana. The debut further underscores Garrix’s commitment to embracing regional cultures and forging meaningful connections with audiences around the world. The tour continues with upcoming stops in Costa Rica, Colombia, and Peru, among others. Continuing his global momentum, Garrix was also recently announced as a headliner for Ultra Music Festival 2027 in Miami.

Garrix’s latest single, “This Dream Of You,” premiered as the intro to his headline set at Tomorrowland, pairing an ethereal orchestral opening with his own vocals and signature production. LISTEN HERE.

His recent collaboration “Fireflies” with 22-time Grammy Award-winning Rock & Roll Hall of Fame band U2 marks the first time all four members have joined Garrix on a track. Blending Bono’s unmistakable vocals with U2’s iconic sound and Garrix’s signature production, the track has broken into the Top 10 at UK Radio. LISTEN & WATCH HERE.

Additionally, Garrix has an exciting lineup of collaborations that he recently released. He collaborated with Madonna on “Bizarre” for newest album, Confessions 11. LISTEN HERE. He first premiered the track during his three-night run at Barclays Center in New York. CARLITA AND JUSTINE SKYE UNVEIL “WYWD” MUSIC VIDEO DIRECTED BY HIDJI WORLD

WATCH THE VIDEO OUT FROM CARLITA’S FORTHCOMING ALBUM TELEPATHY, OUT NOVEMBER 6 VIA NINJA TUNE

Carlita and Justine Skye today unveil the official music video for “WYWD,” directed by Hidji World, whose work includes projects with A$AP Rocky, Future, Metro Boomin and The Weeknd. Starring both artists, the video follows the single’s October 16 release via Ninja Tune. Following Carlita and Skye through New York’s house parties, dive bars and chance encounters with friends, the video offers an intimate portrait of their friendship and the city’s after-hours rhythms.

With creative direction by Pedro Damasceno and cinematography by Leroy Farrell, the video brings Carlita and Skye’s collaboration to the screen. Hidji World and Rayymond share editing credits, with Cesar Perez serving as executive producer. Carlita is styled by Luca Migliaro, with hair and makeup by Amanda Wilson, while Skye’s styling is by Von Ford, with hair by Nikki Nelms and makeup by Jezz Hill.

Fresh off her summer dance project, CANDY, Skye brings her soulful vocals to a record that expands Carlita’s club-rooted sound through songwriting, live instrumentation and warm, understated dance-pop. Moving between R&B, pop and dance music, Skye’s latest chapter draws on the history of Black dance music, placing movement, pleasure and self-expression at its center. From her breakout single “Collide” to her role as Annika Longstreet on Grown-ish, she has built a career spanning music, screen and style.

“WYWD” (short for “What You Wanna Do”) appears on Carlita’s forthcoming sophomore album, Telepathy, arriving November 6 via Ninja Tune. Across the record, sleek grooves and psychedelic textures frame an exploration of human magnetism: the connections between people, memories and places. Telepathy, as Carlita describes it, is “thinking about somebody or something with no attempt at possessing that thing, only for it to come into your life anyway.” Alongside Skye, the album features contributions from SOFI TUKKER, Paige Cavell, Stevie Appleton, Malive and more.

The video also continues Carlita’s creative partnership with Damasceno, who oversees the album’s visual direction, with cover and album photography by Rafael Pavarotti. These collaborations connect the Turkish-Italian producer, DJ and multi-instrumentalist’s music and fashion interests.

Watch the official “WYWD” music video now. The single is available across streaming platforms, and Telepathy arrives November 6 via Ninja Tune.

There’s no time to waste when it comes to turning up the heat! On Thursday, January 14, Montreal producer KAYTRANADA, internationally acclaimed for his distinctive sound blending house, funk and hip-hop, will kick things off on the Sapporo Stage with his irresistible grooves and infectious rhythms. His longtime collaborator Lou Phelps will set the tone for the night with a DJ set, warming up the crowd for what promises to be an unforgettable opening night. On Friday, January 15, it’s time for James Hype, the British DJ and producer known for his spectacular transitions, explosive mashups and high-energy house sets built to get the crowd moving. On Saturday, January 16, British DJ and producer Chris Lorenzo, a major force in the house and bass house scene, will take over the Old Port with his heavy basslines and dancefloor-ready beats.

Three nights, three distinct sounds, one mission: crank up the heat!

Weekend 2 — January 21–23

On Thursday, January 21, get ready to welcome a true electronic music legend: Fatboy Slim! A pioneer of British big beat, the iconic DJ and producer will deliver a tidal wave of irresistible beats, crowd-pleasing classics and infectious energy. A special guest will also join the lineup, adding their own touch to what promises to be an electrifying night. On Friday, January 22, Irish DJ and producer KETTAMA will take over with his euphoric house sound, hard-hitting basslines and raw energy, making him one of the most exciting names on the electronic music scene today. On Saturday, January 23, Australian producer Ninajirachi will bring her bold electronic sound to the festival, blending futuristic textures and hyperpop rhythms with an unmistakable dancefloor energy. She’ll share the night with Frost Children, the New York duo whose DJ set blurs the lines between electro-pop, hyperpop and club music.

A frosty cocktail of sounds, served with a healthy dose of madness!

Weekend 3 — January 28–30

On Thursday, January 28, French-Swiss DJ and producer Mosimann brings his explosive take on electronic music to the festival, blending techno, electro and wildly unpredictable stage antics. Led by a DJ, producer and true force of nature behind the decks, this is a high-energy performance where anything can happen. The weekend’s grand finale arrives on Saturday, January 30, with the return of legendary Canadian producer deadmau5! Armed with productions that have helped shape the history of electronic music, he’ll bring his signature progressive sounds and epic buildups to the heart of the Montreal winter. Before he takes the stage, DJ and producer TDJ, a high-voltage force on Canada’s electronic music scene, will set the tone with soaring trance, euphoric melodies and uncompromising energy.

Weekend 4 — February 4–6

For the season’s penultimate big push, Igloofest is bringing out the heavy hitters! On Thursday, February 4, Fcukers (DJ Set), the New York duo, will melt the site with their explosive blend of electro, dance-punk, and retro-tinged house. On Friday, February 5, German producer Boris Brejcha, master of minimalist techno with futuristic flair and hypnotic rhythms, will bring his distinctive sound to the Old Port. Get ready for an experience that’s as intense as it is captivating under the stars! On Saturday, February 6, we’re cranking things up to eleven with Subtronics, a major force in American bass music and a true dubstep heavyweight. Expect earth-shaking basslines, unpredictable drops, and an avalanche of sound that’ll have Igloofest shaking until the very last beat.

Celebrating Our Local Beasts!

Igloofest isn’t just bringing international heat to the dancefloor — it’s also roaring with hometown pride! A true showcase for Montreal’s electronic music scene, the festival once again puts local talent in the spotlight, celebrating the artists who help shape its unique identity. From house and techno to cutting-edge grooves and bold sounds, Montreal’s scene has bite, talent and, above all, a vibe all its own.

This year, local collectives and artists are back to turn up the heat. On the Vidéotron Stage, Montreal-based collective Ferias will present a lineup celebrating local and international club culture. Expect irresistible grooves spanning house, funk, dub and acid, culminating in a closing set by British duo Make A Dance.

Next up, AMPER will bring its unstoppable energy to the festival. This homegrown label has been making waves with events across the city. Over on the Sapporo Stage, artist Lia Plutonic, known for her warm, groove-driven sets blending house, disco, electro, bass music and soul rhythms, will also take the spotlight, alongside Isla Den (DJ set), whose sound merges pop melancholy with futuristic sonics — showcasing the vibrant talent that makes Montreal’s electronic music scene one of a kind.

The rave spirit of Pep Rally will also be on full display, exploring sounds like ghettotech, breakbeat, Latin house and electro. Sun and Earth will add to Montreal’s vibrant electronic scene with a melodic set from duo Hicky & Kalo. Montreal’s next generation of talent is bringing plenty of boldness and power to the dancefloor. Two more collectives will join the festivities: KNTC, which shines a light on lesser-known underground electronic sounds and champions an intimate, immersive, ego-free party culture; and Hauterageous, a community-driven collective celebrating underground talent and marginalized artists through inclusive rave events. Together, these acts showcase the richness and diversity of Montreal’s electronic music scene, where distinct sounds collide and musical boundaries disappear.

The Beast Is on the Move: Igloofest Expands into New Territory!

Igloofest is no longer making Montreal dance alone. In recent years, the festival has expanded its territory, heating up crowds from coast to coast! The winter fever continues with Igloofest Gatineau, returning for its third edition from February 11 to 13, followed by Igloofest Québec, celebrating its fifth edition from March 4 to 6. The conquest then heads west with the return of Igloofest Edmonton for its second edition from March 11 to 13.

And this is just the beginning…
