Celebrating Our Local Beasts!

Igloofest isn’t just bringing international heat to the dancefloor — it’s also roaring with hometown pride! A true showcase for Montreal’s electronic music scene, the festival once again puts local talent in the spotlight, celebrating the artists who help shape its unique identity. From house and techno to cutting-edge grooves and bold sounds, Montreal’s scene has bite, talent and, above all, a vibe all its own.

This year, local collectives and artists are back to turn up the heat. On the Vidéotron Stage, Montreal-based collective Ferias will present a lineup celebrating local and international club culture. Expect irresistible grooves spanning house, funk, dub and acid, culminating in a closing set by British duo Make A Dance.

Next up, AMPER will bring its unstoppable energy to the festival. This homegrown label has been making waves with events across the city. Over on the Sapporo Stage, artist Lia Plutonic, known for her warm, groove-driven sets blending house, disco, electro, bass music and soul rhythms, will also take the spotlight, alongside Isla Den (DJ set), whose sound merges pop melancholy with futuristic sonics — showcasing the vibrant talent that makes Montreal’s electronic music scene one of a kind.

The rave spirit of Pep Rally will also be on full display, exploring sounds like ghettotech, breakbeat, Latin house and electro. Sun and Earth will add to Montreal’s vibrant electronic scene with a melodic set from duo Hicky & Kalo. Montreal’s next generation of talent is bringing plenty of boldness and power to the dancefloor. Two more collectives will join the festivities: KNTC, which shines a light on lesser-known underground electronic sounds and champions an intimate, immersive, ego-free party culture; and Hauterageous, a community-driven collective celebrating underground talent and marginalized artists through inclusive rave events. Together, these acts showcase the richness and diversity of Montreal’s electronic music scene, where distinct sounds collide and musical boundaries disappear.

The Beast Is on the Move: Igloofest Expands into New Territory!

Igloofest is no longer making Montreal dance alone. In recent years, the festival has expanded its territory, heating up crowds from coast to coast! The winter fever continues with Igloofest Gatineau, returning for its third edition from February 11 to 13, followed by Igloofest Québec, celebrating its fifth edition from March 4 to 6. The conquest then heads west with the return of Igloofest Edmonton for its second edition from March 11 to 13.

And this is just the beginning…

CLUB MUSIC BUT RENEWED, PETERBLUE AND NOISE MAFIA BRING FUNKY TEXTURES, BROKEN BEATS AND FLAVOUR

PETERBLUE & Noise Mafia bring a fresh and renewed perspective to the global dance scene with their forthcoming album on Warner Music

Latin Music is not a genre, it's a perspective, a collection of sounds from over 20 countries, 6 hundred million people and hundreds of musical traditions in one word.

Two Colombian artists, PETERBLUE and Noise Mafia join forces for a brand-new single ‘Tabaco Camel’. The first single for their forthcoming album ‘Vulgar’ this November on Warner Music.

PETERBLUE has become recognised as one of the leading figures in Latin Club music and a pioneer of the post-pandemic Latin fusion genre. He brings the funky textures, broken beats, the speed and flavour. Whilst Noise Mafia has become a household name in the dance world through his releases and massive festival appearances, bringing trance, rave energy, impact, the weight and structure to their forthcoming collaboration.

“We don't make Latin music so it can fit into the club. We make club music from the

music we grew up on and we’re surrounded by every day”

Both artists rich in Latin heritage and culture, they come together to deliver club music fused with Latin rhythms, including merengue, reggaeton, champeta, guaracha and dembow. They bring a fresh and renewed perspective to the global dance scene.

The first single ‘Tabaco Camel’ is filled with phonk textures, busy percussion and subtle acid touches give the track a playful, carnival feel, while deep, droning sounds add to its offbeat character. Bringing their roots into an adventurous blend of hard dance influences, the pair deliver a wild, energetic club cut with rhythm and fun at its centre.

‘Vulgar’ is a project that combines genres that at some point were despised, banned or called ‘bad taste’, together they place them at the forefront of club culture, not asking to fit in, but to become something else.

This is music from the people, for the people.

PETERBLUE x Noise Mafia’s ‘Tabaco Camel’ will be released on Warner Music on the 16th October.

DANNY SNOWDEN DEBUTS ON FACTORY 93 RECORDS WITH ‘ALL I NEED’ EP

UK’s underground house producer releases minimal tech three-tracker EP, making it his first release with the Factory 93 Records imprint

London-based producer Danny Snowden debuts on Factory 93 Records with his new three-track 'All I Need' EP. The project is a deep minimal deep tech equipped with his club-focused functionality.

Shaped by London's underground, Danny Snowden is a fast-rising British producer distinguished by his blend of deep house, minimal, UK garage, and '90s house music.

The focus track “All I Need,” comes to life with driving drum rhythms and layered vocal loops, carried by steady basslines, subtle breakbeat builds, shimmering synth details, and textured UKG elements.

It is followed by “Don’t Make Me Wait,” offering a bouncy groove and hypnotic synths that establish a laid-back, club-ready vibe. Crisp hi-hats and subtle vocal textures drive the momentum before seamlessly drifting to a close.

The EP comes to a close with “Timewarp” bringing a late-night, after-hours vibe driven by a stripped-back rhythm, chopped mechanical synths, and robotic vocal fragments, building a futuristic groove.

Danny Snowden has had a healthy output of EPs for reputable house imprints, earning endorsements from Chris Stassy, Enzo Siragusa, Jamie Jones, Marco Carola and Joseph Capriati. His recent track "Distant Star System" earned coveted 'Track ID' status from Sarah Story on BBC Radio 1.

He has had high profile shows for Heavy House Society showcases at Shelter Amsterdam and fabric London, Bassjamz at 526 Ibiza, UNLISH at Mint XL, support for Rossi. at Concorde 2 Brighton.

“Really glad to finally get this one out after playing these tracks all through the summer. Each track brings something different - from the stripped-back, peak-time energy of ‘All I Need’, to the feel-good summer vibe of ‘Don’t Make Me Wait’ and the darker, after-hours feel of ‘Timewarp’. They’ve been getting a great reaction in my sets, so I’m excited to finally have them out there.” - Danny Snowden
