AXEPT reaches a major milestone with its 50th release as legendary Spanish duo Chus & Ceballos join forces with Toni Rios and Niveska to reinterpret the iconic ‘Closer to You’, a landmark record that first captured dance floors in 2018.

For one of Spain’s most influential electronic music duos, the release arrives at a particularly significant moment. Following their highly anticipated reunion and the release of ‘Somos Uno’, Chus & Ceballos continue a new chapter that reconnects with their musical roots while looking firmly towards the future.

Originally released by Toni Rios featuring Niveska in 2018 on BluFin Records, ‘Closer to You’ has become a defining record within the deeper, more emotive side of the house spectrum. This new interpretation sees Chus & Ceballos bring an unmistakable melodic house energy to the track, combining hypnotic grooves, organic percussion and deep, atmospheric textures with the emotional character that made the original so enduring.

For Chus & Ceballos, reworking ‘Closer to You’ is another opportunity to explore the connection between heritage and evolution: a philosophy that has been central to their work throughout a career spanning almost three decades. Renowned for pioneering the Iberican Sound, the Spanish duo have consistently drawn on rhythm, percussion and musicality to create records that connect across cultures and generations.

The release carries particular significance for AXEPT, marking the 50th release on the label since its launch by Berlin-based DJ and producer Yulia Niko in 2024. Created with the intention of honouring dance music’s cultural heritage while fostering unity and compassion through music, AXEPT has quickly established itself as a home for artists who share a forward-thinking, emotionally driven approach to electronic music.

Across its catalogue, the label has welcomed an international roster that includes Yet More, Santiago Garcia, Fur Coat, MANTi, Cameron Jack, Wally Lopez, Alexey Union, Ivan Masa and Yulia Niko herself, to name a few. Now, for its landmark 50th release, AXEPT turns to two generations of dance music heritage, bringing together the legacy of Toni Rios’ original ‘Closer to You’ with the contemporary perspective of Chus & Ceballos.

The collaboration arrives at a pivotal point in the story of Chus & Ceballos. After a five-year hiatus that began during the pandemic, the duo reunited in 2026 for their highly anticipated Reunion Tour, returning to dance floors across the world and reaffirming the enduring demand for their signature sound. Their recent single ‘Somos Uno’ marked the beginning of this new creative chapter, embracing themes of unity, identity and connection while expanding the Iberican Sound into a contemporary global landscape. ‘Closer to You’ continues that journey, but with a different kind of energy; one rooted in nostalgia, emotion and the timeless power of a great dance record.

Chus & Ceballos are widely regarded as one of Spain’s most enduring and influential electronic music duos. With a career spanning almost three decades, DJ Chus and Pablo Ceballos have made an indelible mark on global dance culture as producers, remixers, label founders and pioneering tastemakers. As the founders of Stereo Productions, they helped place Spanish electronic music firmly on the international map, while pioneering what became known globally as the Iberican Sound; a distinctive fusion of tribal percussion, Latin rhythms, hypnotic grooves and electronic house music.

Their productions and remixes have earned worldwide recognition, including official remixes for artists such as Madonna, Shakira and Yoko Ono. Beyond the studio, they have performed at and held residencies at some of the world’s most respected clubs, including Pacha and Cielo in New York, Space Miami, Stereo Montreal, Sound Los Angeles and Ageha Tokyo, among many others.

After a five-year hiatus beginning during the pandemic, the duo reunited in 2026 for The Reunion Tour, returning to more than 50 cities worldwide. The response has reaffirmed the lasting impact of their music and the continued relevance of the Iberican Sound. Their return represents more than a comeback. It is a new chapter built around renewal, connection and evolution, honouring the legacy they helped create while continuing to push their sound forward.

SUNORA REUNITE WITH LEE BURRIDGE FOR ‘MAN WITH A GUITAR’ ON ALL DAY I DREAM

The new single features on All Day I Dream’s Summer’s End Sampler, as the SUNCTURE founders expands the label’s influence with a landmark event at ZUMANA and a 12-month radio residency on Ibiza Global Radio.

Sunora, the electronic music duo of Chertkovski and Alar, reunite with Lee Burridge for ‘Man With A Guitar’, a new collaborative single released on All Day I Dream as part of the label’s Summer’s End Sampler. The release marks the second collaboration between the artists, following ‘Bianco Montana’ earlier this year, which also served as Sunora’s first-ever release.

Continuing the creative relationship established with their debut collaboration, ‘Man With A Guitar’ sees Sunora return to the All Day I Dream catalogue, further cementing the duo’s connection with one of the most distinctive labels in melodic and organic house.

SUNCTURE Announces Inaugural ZUMANA party, RITUAL OF THE SUN

On October 24, SUNCTURE will host its first-ever party at ZUMANA, part of the SAVAYA Bali Group, marking a major milestone for the label and its growing presence in Bali’s electronic music scene. Titled RITUAL OF THE SUN, the event is curated by SUNCTURE and features performances from Sunora, Slides, Panterov, Dari Mats and Onaii.

Bringing together artists connected by the label’s musical vision, the event represents a natural progression for SUNCTURE, extending its identity beyond releases into a dedicated live experience. The announcement also follows Sunora’s debut performance at ZUMANA on October 7, where the duo supported Stephan Jolk at his iconic Party Animals event. The appearance marked Sunora’s introduction to the venue, setting the stage for SUNCTURE to return with its own curated programme.

SUNCTURE HOUR Launches On Ibiza Global Radio

Further expanding the label’s international reach, SUNCTURE has launched SUNCTURE HOUR, a new 12-month radio residency on Ibiza Global Radio. Broadcasting on the second Wednesday of every month at 11 PM, the show will provide a regular platform for the label’s artists and the wider SUNCTURE sound.

The inaugural episode aired on Wednesday, October 14, featuring a special mix from SUNCTURE label heads Sunora. Upcoming editions will showcase mixes from label regulars, including FunkT!de and Kapir, alongside further selections from the SUNCTURE community.

Conceived as an extension of the label’s musical identity, SUNCTURE HOUR will bring its sound to an international audience through a year-long programme of carefully curated mixes, complementing the label’s growing catalogue and event activity.

PATRICK MASON UNVEILS HIS DEBUT SOLO SINGLE ON MASONICS

Patrick Mason steps into his own sound with “Hood Dub 7” - this first track from the forthcoming Glory EP marks a new chapter on his own MASONICS imprint.

Patrick Mason teases “HD7”, with his vocals slicing through the first offering from a three-track EP that brings a dark and stormy sonic attack to the floor, capturing the energy and emotions that have underpinned his journey from Berlin underground to Awakenings, Coachella, Tomorrowland and beyond

“HD7” reimagines Paranoid London’s “Paris Dub 1” - or as Patrick tells it:

“‘Hood Dub 7’ is my love letter to Berlin, paying homage to my early days at Berghain. ‘Paris Dub 1’ was one of the first techno tracks I really connected with, and I wanted to capture that same feeling I had when I first heard it, but twist it into something more contemporary, dark and rooted in my own experiences”

Rolling percussion and a dubbed-out bassline drive the track, while Patrick’s searing vocals add a glint of blade in the shadows. Soft, atmospheric leads sit against hard, minimal kicks, creating a fusion of euphoria and darkness that feels at home on a smoke-filled Berlin dancefloor.

An extension of Mason’s own identity, MASONICS is deeply rooted in the full spectrum of underground culture, embracing its diversity, contradictions, and constant evolution with the aim of connecting the music’s radical history with the next generation of boundary-breaking artists, while offering a platform for experimentation, especially for those who often find their access ‘denied’.

This month, MASONICS takes over Lofi for ADE, bringing its world of creativity and self- expression to one of the city’s most renowned venues. On Wednesday, October 21st, Patrick will curate a night bringing together established and emerging talent, with Laure Croft, Yasmin Regisford , Shinedoe and special guest, Chicago-born, Techno legend, DJ Rush. Further artistry comes in the form of Soraya Schulthess, the German choreographer whose DANCÆ collective is making waves internationally and will perform a specially commissioned work as the evening unfolds.

With “Hood Dub 7”, Patrick brings together the influences and experiences that have shaped his sound, while opening the door to a wider vision for MASONICS.
