PATRICK MASON UNVEILS HIS DEBUT SOLO SINGLE ON MASONICS

Patrick Mason steps into his own sound with “Hood Dub 7” - this first track from the forthcoming Glory EP marks a new chapter on his own MASONICS imprint.

Patrick Mason teases “HD7”, with his vocals slicing through the first offering from a three-track EP that brings a dark and stormy sonic attack to the floor, capturing the energy and emotions that have underpinned his journey from Berlin underground to Awakenings, Coachella, Tomorrowland and beyond

“HD7” reimagines Paranoid London’s “Paris Dub 1” - or as Patrick tells it:

“‘Hood Dub 7’ is my love letter to Berlin, paying homage to my early days at Berghain. ‘Paris Dub 1’ was one of the first techno tracks I really connected with, and I wanted to capture that same feeling I had when I first heard it, but twist it into something more contemporary, dark and rooted in my own experiences”

Rolling percussion and a dubbed-out bassline drive the track, while Patrick’s searing vocals add a glint of blade in the shadows. Soft, atmospheric leads sit against hard, minimal kicks, creating a fusion of euphoria and darkness that feels at home on a smoke-filled Berlin dancefloor.

An extension of Mason’s own identity, MASONICS is deeply rooted in the full spectrum of underground culture, embracing its diversity, contradictions, and constant evolution with the aim of connecting the music’s radical history with the next generation of boundary-breaking artists, while offering a platform for experimentation, especially for those who often find their access ‘denied’.

This month, MASONICS takes over Lofi for ADE, bringing its world of creativity and self- expression to one of the city’s most renowned venues. On Wednesday, October 21st, Patrick will curate a night bringing together established and emerging talent, with Laure Croft, Yasmin Regisford , Shinedoe and special guest, Chicago-born, Techno legend, DJ Rush. Further artistry comes in the form of Soraya Schulthess, the German choreographer whose DANCÆ collective is making waves internationally and will perform a specially commissioned work as the evening unfolds.

With “Hood Dub 7”, Patrick brings together the influences and experiences that have shaped his sound, while opening the door to a wider vision for MASONICS. As the first release from “Glory”, the track sets the tone for what’s to come - music rooted in his own story, but connected to the wider culture around it.“Hood

Electrifying, genre-defying, and unapologetically bold, Patrick Mason is shaking the foundations of club culture and conjuring a global movement that merges sound, style, and performance art into one unstoppable force.

With a presence as magnetic as his sets, Mason has quickly evolved from reshaping Berlin's underground circuit to commanding some of the world's biggest stages - from Coachella to Tomorrowland - mesmerizing audiences and confounding expectations along the way.

Patrick’s sets fuse high-octane techno and deeply rhythmic house with the attitude and theatrics of the runway, bringing a rebellious edge to the dancefloor: his performances are not just heard - they're experienced. Drawing on his background in design, visual arts and fashion, he continues to blur the line between club night and cultural moment, making every appearance a work of art

NICOLE MOUDABER RETURNS TO HER MOODCOLLECTIVE IMPRINT WITH TWO-TRACK EP

MC018

‘SHE LOVES MY MUSIC FEAT. POSITIVV / THINK ABOUT YOU’

IS OUT NOW

Queen of Music Nicole Moudaber returns to her burgeoning MoodCollective imprint with ‘She Loves My Music feat POSITIVV / Think About You’ - out now.

With her latest offering Nicole channels the rhythmic, dancefloor-focused energy that has become synonymous with MoodCollective. The two-track release sees the label boss dive further into the groove-driven house and tech-house sounds at the heart of her rapidly evolving label.

‘She Loves My Music / Think About You’ continues Nicole’s exploration beyond the harder-edged techno for which she has long been celebrated, bringing another dimension of her musical identity firmly to the fore.

“I’ve always wanted to connect with Nigeria through my music, but I was waiting for it to happen in the right way. Then Olabode sent me an email with a couple of vocal takes. When I found out he was from Ibadan, the city where I was born, and heard the vocal, it felt like a sign. We had to make something together. There’s something special about reconnecting with where you come from through music, and this felt exactly like that. What came out of it completely exceeded my expectations. That bassline, the groove, and his vocal hitting in that break just became magic. I’ve been playing it in my sets and every single time, the room comes alive.

So I guess she really does love my music.” Nicole Moudaber

Speaking about their collaboration, POSITIVV added: “Working with Nicole on this record has been an incredible experience. I love how she took the original idea and transformed it with her own signature sound while keeping the emotion and spirit of the vocal intact. I was blown away the first time I heard the finished versions. Hearing people go crazy when Nicole plays it makes me even more excited for what’s ahead. I’m truly grateful to be part of this release.

Never one to view electronic music through rigid genre boundaries, Nicole’s sets have always moved between shades of techno, house and tech house and MoodCollective gives that versatility a permanent home.

With ‘She Loves My Music feat. POSITIVV / Think About You’, Nicole brings the focus back to her own productions, delivering two cuts shaped around the fundamental principles on which MoodCollective was built: rhythm, energy and the shared experience of the dancefloor.
