US-based UKG artist Hans Glader and rising UK rave act efan today come together for their new single ‘will you show up?’, out now via Maraki Records. The experimental collaboration combines Hans’ propensity for off-kilter energy with efan’s breakbeat inclinations, creating a dynamic collision of UK rave influence and West Coast flair.

After following each other’s music from across the Atlantic, the pair finally connected in Bristol over a shared appreciation for soulful chord progressions. That meeting eventually evolved into ‘will you show up?’, a dark, late-night take on 2-step that plays with the contrast between hazy atmosphere and weighty club rhythms. Pitched-up vocal fragments drift across deep basslines and tightly syncopated drums, with subtle shifts in the groove giving the track its restless momentum. Stripped back yet textural, ‘will you show up?’ finds common ground between Hans and efan’s distinct approaches to UK dance music.

A California native, Hans Glader has developed his own interpretation of UK garage by filtering the genre through the sounds that surrounded him on the West Coast. His background as a drummer informs the intricate rhythms at the center of his productions, and his collaborations with Sammy Virji, Oppidan, and MPH have cemented his reputation in the UKG community. This Fall, Hans will headline a nine-date tour throughout the US with stops in Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Chicago, and a festival appearance at Breakaway Houston. 

efan has emerged from the UK underground with a bass-heavy approach spanning UK garage, bassline, and breakbeat. Rolling low-end and kinetic percussion sit at the core of his productions, channeling the raw energy of UK rave culture through his own contemporary lens.

French DJ and producer RIVO has reached 500 million Spotify streams with his official remix of Disclosure’s iconic track “You & Me”, marking a major milestone in the rapid rise of one of electronic music’s most distinctive emerging artists. Chinois is the first club to open and last to close for yet another year running. And TRIP, the notorious island favourite party, known for it’s underground sounds curated by Johannes Goller, returns to the Sonic Temple to end the season with a bang. TRIP has been a part of the club’s history since they first opened their doors, both via full residencies, and bookending the summer season.
