TAPE B ANNOUNCES DEBUT ALBUM ‘GHOST IN THE STATIC’ AHEAD OF NEW SINGLE WITH EFFIN “I’LL NEVER KNOW”

TWO OF BASS MUSIC’S MOST DISTINCTIVE MODERN VOICES JOIN TOGETHER FOR A MAJOR NEW SINGLE JUST AHEAD OF DEBUT ALBUM MOMENT

The next generation of electronic music continues to dominate the 2026 release landscape, further highlighted by leading talent Tape B and Effin joining forces for their new collaboration, “I’ll Never Know”. The single reunites two of bass music’s most distinct creative perspectives on a track that reflects the artists’ shared love for hip-hop, nostalgia, and forward-thinking electronic production.

The single lands right at the heels of the official announcement of Tape B’s debut album ‘Ghost in the Static’, slated for release on October 2nd, featuring Zaytoven, Effin, Dani King, and more to be announced.

For Tape B, the collaboration arrives during a landmark stretch in his rapidly accelerating career. Known for fusing the sounds and spirit of classic dubstep with hip-hop influence, Tape B has built a devoted following through original music, sonic experimentation, and high-impact live performances. His catalog continues to impress across multiple genres with official collaborations with artists like Juicy J on “Trippy Land” (2024) and more recently “Signature Sound” (Aug 2026) with Atlanta hip-hop legend Zaytoven, further establishing his ability to bridge the worlds of hip-hop and bass music. “I’ll Never Know” follows his recent Car Tunes Vol: 5 and ethereal single “Underneath Your Skin” with Dani King via Monstercat, further underscoring his multi-layered approach to production.

Effin brings a similarly expansive approach to the collaboration. The Nashville-based artist, producer, and songwriter has spent the past several years developing a signature creative world built around detailed sampling, emotional songwriting, vintage aesthetics, and unconventional production techniques. His recent music has pushed that approach even further, exploring love, memory, and nostalgia through everything from decades-old recordings and forgotten live performances to film dialogue, jazz instrumentation, and heavily manipulated vocals.

The result is a collaboration between two artists who approach bass music from different angles but share a fundamental belief: the genre can be a vehicle for storytelling, emotion, and musical discovery just as much as it can be about impact.

“I’ll Never Know” represents that shared creative DNA, bringing Tape B and Effin’s respective worlds into the same space while allowing each artist’s identity to remain intact. It is a meeting of hip-hop influence, modern bass production, nostalgic textures, inventive sampling, and a willingness to push beyond conventional genre boundaries.

The duo’s official release history together dates back to Effin’s acclaimed 2025 album Daydreams, where they first joined forces on “Ups and Downs.” The track swiftly incorporates hip-hop elements, reflecting their mutual connection and appreciation for the culture while outwardly establishing the creative chemistry that continues to develop.

Later that same year, the pair reunited for an unofficial remix of Amy Winehouse’s “Back to Black,” earning 651K streams on SoundCloud alone and offering another example of their shared instinct for pulling from the past while giving those influences an entirely new life.

For both artists, the collaboration arrives at a moment of significant momentum. Tape B is coming off a major run that has included the Summer Program amphitheater co-headline tour with Levity, which moved more than 63,000 tickets across the run and delivered multiple sellouts, high-profile collaborations with Subtronics, Zeds Dead, and GRiZ, and major headline performances including his upcoming, nearly sold-out two-night Red Rocks run

Effin, meanwhile, is entering the next chapter of his career following a massive 2026 festival season, a run of new music, and the announcement of his January 16, 2027 headline at Denver’s Mission Ballroom - his largest headline show to date.

With “I’ll Never Know,” two of bass music’s most forward-thinking producers meet in the middle - proving that the most compelling collaborations are often born from shared influences, distinct identities, and a willingness to explore what happens when those worlds collide.

Artist Quote

“This marks our 3rd collaboration since early 2025 and it has been awesome to work on so much music with Effin. Our styles work really well together and it makes the workflow very seamless. After the success of Ups and Downs and our Back to Back flip, we thought it was time for another original. This track has been a highlight of my recent tour sets and it’s a perfect fit for my album. We hope you enjoy this one as much as the past 2!” – Tape B

Born in Istanbul and raised in Florida, Tape B discovered music production while studying at the University of Central Florida, where he began developing the sound and creative vision that would eventually become the Tape B project. After discovering electronic music through the dubstep era that shaped his early influences, he spent years refining his approach — blending nostalgic textures, heavy bass production, and hip-hop-inspired rhythm into a sound uniquely his own.

Over the past several years, Tape B has emerged as one of the most influential new voices in modern bass music, building a dedicated global community around his ability to connect the sounds that shaped electronic music’s past with the direction of its future. His acclaimed EPs Hallow Tapes, A Dose of Nostalgia, and Over Saturated have established his signature sound, earning support from artists including Subtronics, GRiZ, Zeds Dead, Excision, Ganja White Night, Wooli, and Peekaboo.

Driven by a deep appreciation for the culture that first inspired him, Tape B has built his career around community, creativity, and creating experiences that bring listeners together. That connection has translated into sold-out headline performances at venues including Red Rocks Amphitheatre, The Salt Shed, Shrine Expo Hall, Echostage, and The Armory, alongside collaborations with artists such as John Summit, Juicy J, GRiZ, Zeds Dead, Subtronics, Of The Trees, and Ganja White Night.

With his debut album Ghosts In The Static, Tape B delivers his most ambitious creative statement to date — a tribute to the music that inspired him while continuing to evolve the sound and community he has built. The album reflects his ongoing mission to bridge generations of electronic music, introducing new listeners to the sounds that shaped him while pushing modern bass music forward.

ANOTR, JAMIE JONES AND MAHMUT ORHAN TO PERFORM ON BAKU’S WATERFRONT FOR F1 WEEKEND AT APEX AFTER DARK OPEN AIR

FOMO Baku, Baku City Circuit and iTicket unite for three official Azerbaijan Grand Prix nights in a spectacular 2,500-capacity open-air waterfront setting overlooking the Caspian Sea

FOMO Baku is taking its Formula 1 weekend celebrations outdoors for the first time this September, with ANOTR, Jamie Jones and Mahmut Orhan set to headline three huge open-air events from 24th-26th September during the Azerbaijan Grand Prix weekend.

For this special Grand Prix weekend, a 2,500 capacity open-air venue directly on Baku Boulevard and the Caspian Sea has been confirmed for APEX AFTER DARK OPEN AIR. The waterfront setting creates an incredible backdrop for three evenings of electronic music in the heart of Baku.

The purpose-built setting will combine FOMO’s high-impact production with open-air views across the Caspian Sea, bringing a new dimension to the venue for one of the biggest weekends in the city’s calendar.

Running across practice, qualifying and race day, APEX will bring three major names in electronic music to the city for three very different nights, creating a new destination for the thousands of international visitors descending on Baku for Formula 1 weekend.

Kicking things off on Thursday 24th September, ANOTR will take control of the waterfront for a sunset session showcasing the full spectrum of their sound. Expect the Amsterdam duo to move effortlessly between rolling house, disco, funk, soul and deeper late-night cuts as daylight disappears over the Caspian.

On Friday 25th September, Jamie Jones steps up ahead of race day. Hot Creations founder, Hot Natured member and the DJ who shaped Circoloco at DC-10 across two decades, Jones arrives mid-season from Ibiza. He will bring the unmistakable energy of his Paradise parties to FOMO’s outdoor setting. With thousands gathered on Baku Boulevard and anticipation building across the city, expect rolling grooves, deep house and peak-time records built for a packed open-air dancefloor.

The weekend reaches its finale on Saturday 26th September, as Mahmut Orhan closes the run on race day itself, taking over within hours of the chequered flag. After headlining the final night of FOMO’s 2025 Grand Prix weekend, Orhan returns to Baku for an even bigger open-air show, bringing his signature fusion of electronic music, melodic house and globally influenced sounds.

Anastasia Hajiyeva, FOMO Baku Co-founder says "We didn't want to just throw a party for Grand Prix weekend, we wanted to give Baku something it's never seen. APEX AFTER DARK takes everything FOMO has built inside the club and moves it out onto Baku Boulevard, right on the water's edge, with ANOTR, Jamie Jones and Mahmut Orhan headlining three nights that'll define the weekend. This is Baku stepping onto the map.”

APEX represents the next step for FOMO, taking the experience beyond the walls of the club for the first time and placing it against the backdrop of Baku Boulevard, with three nights built around the energy and spectacle of Formula 1 weekend.

FUNK TRIBU RETURNS TO NYC FOR KNOCKDOWN CENTER DEBUT WITH RUSH PRESENTS - FUNK TRIBU AND FRIENDS: DAY N NIGHT

The Colombian-born, Berlin-based artist will host a 14-hour takeover on October 17 at Ruins by day and Knockdown Center by night, joined by Afem Syko, Innamorati, Ksenyeah, LOVEFOXY, Supergloss and x3butterfly

Funk Tribu returns to New York this October for his Knockdown Center debut, taking over the Queens venue for Funk Tribu & Friends: Day & Night on Saturday, October 17. Running from 3PM to 5AM, the 14-hour event will span Knockdown Center’s outdoor Ruins and Main Hall, with Funk Tribu joined by Afem Syko, Innamorati, Ksenyeah, LOVEFOXY, Supergloss and x3butterfly for a day-to-night marathon of groove-driven club music. The event will be presented by RUSH, Knockdown Center’s popular event series which brings together artists from across the globe for immersive, high-energy experiences built around pounding rhythms, collective energy and cathartic release.

The day-to-night format will see Funk Tribu showcase two sides of his sound across the venue's distinct spaces. From 3 PM, Funk Tribu will make a big world debut playing a house set at Knockdown’s outdoor space Ruins, setting the tone for the daytime session before moving into the Main Hall at night for a techno set, bringing his signature high-energy sound blending trance, techno, and fast BPMs. The extended format reflects the versatility of his sound and the communal, immersive energy at the heart of his music.

Colombian-born and now based in Berlin, Funk Tribu has been one of the most exciting names to watch in today’s electronic music, emerging as a defining figure in the new wave of trance-inspired club sounds. His music draws on the emotion and euphoria of classic trance while channeling it through the groove, energy and immediacy of contemporary club culture. Across his productions and DJ sets, he has built a sound that prioritises feeling and connection as much as dancefloor energy. His rise has taken him to some of the world's most influential clubs and festivals, including EDC Vegas, UNVRS, Fabric London, Watergate, Tomorrowland, Awakenings, and Lollapalooza. Now, as his international fanbase keeps growing rapidly, Funk Tribu’s return to New York City is set to be yet another landmark performance.

The Knockdown Center debut follows a defining period for the artist, who is fresh off the release of his latest EP, “LIFE”, released on his own imprint TRIBE. The three-part project explores the interconnected worlds of soul, mind and body, offering a deeply personal reflection on renewal, introspection and hope while further defining the emotional and conceptual world of TRIBE.

Launched in 2025, TRIBE is built around the idea of music as community, serving as a label and collective for emotionally led, identity-rooted club music with a visual language to match. Its first releases, including “Azul” and “Hold On”, alongside releases from rising global voices such as Afem Syko, Linds and BK, have quickly established TRIBE as something larger than a traditional record label.

For RUSH Presents - Funk Tribu & Friends: Day & Night, that sense of community will take centre stage as Funk Tribu and his handpicked lineup take over Knockdown Center for an extended day-to-night experience. His debut at the venue marks another step in an international trajectory that continues to connect audiences across continents through a shared love of emotionally charged, forward-thinking club music.
