TAPE B AND ZAYTOVEN UNITE ON NEW SINGLE "SIGNATURE SOUND" ONE OF BASS MUSIC'S DEFINING VOICES JOINS FORCES WITH LEGENDARY HIP-HOP PRODUCER ON A GENRE-BLENDING COLLABORATION

THE RELEASE MARKS ONE OF TAPE B'S BIGGEST CREATIVE MILESTONES TO DATE

One of bass music’s most in demand producers Tape B continues the biggest creative chapter of his career with the release of "Signature Sound," an original collaboration with legendary Atlanta producer Zaytoven, arriving across DSPs on August 12th.

Equally inspired by the cinematic sound design of early 2000’s era dubstep and the storytelling of hip-hop, Tape B has spent years blending those influences into a sound uniquely his own. "Signature Sound" becomes the clearest expression of that vision to date, bringing together two worlds that have shaped his artistry since he first began producing.

Joining forces with Zaytoven - whose unmistakable production helped define the sound of artists including Gucci Mane, Future, Migos, Young Thug, Lil Uzi Vert, and 21 Savage - feels less like a crossover and more like the natural next chapter in a creative journey that has always existed at the intersection of bass music and hip-hop.

For Tape B, the collaboration represents a defining moment in his career. Across the past several years, he's consistently paid homage to hip-hop through widely celebrated reworks of artists who helped shape his musical identity.

His catalog includes fan-favorite unofficial remixes of Mac Miller's "Loud" (2.1M streams),  Flatbush Zombies’ “222”  (1.2M), and A$AP Rocky’s “Goldie” (1.2M), alongside a growing collection of hip-hop-inspired edits that have become staples of his consistently sold-out live sets. The longstanding appreciation for the genre culminated in his first official hip-hop collaboration, "Trippy Land" with Juicy J in 2024, which has since surpassed 4 million streams across platforms.

Joining forces with Zaytoven - one of the most influential producers in modern hip-hop - marks the next chapter in that journey, bringing together two artists connected by a shared appreciation for innovation.

Rather than meeting in the middle, the collaboration allows each producer's style to remain unmistakably intact. Opening with a playful introduction from Zaytoven before unfolding into heavyweight bass, dynamic sound design, and simply put, Tape B’s signature sound. The record fuses heavy hitting energy with the rhythmic feel and musicality that have made Zaytoven one of hip-hop's most influential producers.

Artist Quote:

"This song was originally inspired by the famous UKF dubstep tutorial, and I've drawn a lot of inspiration from that era for this song. I want the entire vibe of it to feel like something that came from the 2010-2012 era of dubstep.

When I saw a video of Zaytoven talking about his production process, I thought that him talking about the "wub" sound was perfect for a revamped modern version of the UKF dubstep tutorial but in a new school way.

We reached out to Zaytoven's team and had some phone calls about making this an official collaboration and they were very excited about it. My goal is to continue bridging the gap between hip-hop and dubstep and this song is a great example of it.  The song was the intro to my sets on my fall 2025 bus tour and has been a favorite in every set since.."

— Tape B

The collaboration arrives during a landmark run for Tape B. Fresh off sold-out dates on his Summer Program amphitheater tour alongside Levity, acclaimed collaborations with artists including Subtronics, Zeds Dead and GRiZ, and his upcoming nearly sold-out two-night Red Rocks headline later this year, he continues building one of electronic music's most passionate fan communities while expanding his artistic vision into fresh territories.

At a time when much of the music industry is driven by fast-moving trends and short-form moments, Tape B continues to argue for a different approach - one rooted in community, artistic identity, and creating art with lasting impact. Drawing inspiration from the records that first made him fall in love with electronic music while fully championing collaborators from outside the genre, he continues blending old-school influences with new-school production into something both timeless and forward-looking.

With "Signature Sound," Tape B delivers more than an unexpected collaboration. The record celebrates the shared DNA between hip-hop and bass music while marking a defining milestone for one of electronic music's biggest artists - proving that some of the most exciting ideas emerge when artists from different worlds create something entirely its own.

Kemal Alkanat, known artistically as Tape B, has rapidly ascended in the electronic music realm, blending the essence of nostalgic dubstep with contemporary bass vibrations. His acclaimed EP "A Dose of Nostalgia" and the 2023 Deadbeats release “Over Saturated” have cemented his position as an essential voice in the genre's evolution. Tape B's innovative remixes and his distinctive approach to genre experimentation have drawn recognition from industry leaders like Subtronics, GRiZ, Zeds Dead, Excision, Ganja White Night, Wooli and Peekaboo.

FOLAMOUR, SETH TROXLER AND JAMIE 3:26 TO HEADLINE BALAGAN WORLD’S BIGGEST OPEN-AIR EVENT ON BRUSSELS CANALSIDE

The Brussels collective takes over a 5,000-capacity site at Quai de Heembeek on the Port of Brussels for a day of house music on Saturday 29 August 2026 - its largest production to date

Brussels collective Balagan World has revealed the line-up for its largest event to date, a 5,000-capacity open-air on the Port of Brussels canalside at Quai de Heembeek on Saturday 29 August 2026, headlined by Folamour, Seth Troxler and Jamie 3:26.

Headlining is Folamour, one of the most distinctive and sought-after names in European house music following standout performances at Coachella, Glastonbury and Tomorrowland among many more. Seth Troxler, the Detroit-born party starter and Grammy-nominated producer for his collaboration with Diplo brings his characteristic deep knowledge and ability to move between underground sounds with equal authority. Completing the international headline trio is Jamie 3:26, a true legend of Chicago house whose roots in the music run as deep as anyone.

Two Belgian names complete the bill. TOOLATE Groove is a Brussels producer whose soulful, jazz-inflected house has picked up wide support in the industry, while Rozental, a Balagan World resident has become one of the more compelling figures in the country's current electronic landscape.

Quai de Heembeek is a working stretch of the Port of Brussels, industrial, waterside, and a long way from a conventional festival field. It is the kind of site Balagan World has built its reputation on, following the collective's first open air at the Silo in Brussels in 2025 and marking a significant step up in production scale. Founded by Brussels friends Johan Kirszner and Alon Zur, Balagan World has since expanded from Brussels to Paris, Milan and London.

Alon Zur, co-founder of Balagan World, said: "After a first successful open air at the Silo in Brussels in 2025, Balagan World is taking a new step with a larger-scale production in the heart of the Port of Brussels. Quai de Heembeek will offer a unique industrial setting by the water for a day dedicated to house music."

ZAMNA RETURNS TO SINAI DESERT, EGYPT WITH SASHA AND JOHN DIGWEED, KOROLOVA, MIND AGAINST, SHIMZA AND MORE

Capacity increases to 20,000 as the festival builds on a landmark debut at one of the Middle East's most spectacular electronic music destinations

Zamna is set to return to Egypt's Khoroum Valley from the 20th - 22nd November, expanding the desert festival experience to a 20,000-capacity event. Set within one of the Middle East's most dramatic natural landscapes, the festival will feature a first wave lineup including Sasha, John Digweed, Mind Against, Korolova, MRAK, Mëstiza and SHIMZA.

Originating in Tulum, Mexico, Zamna has become one of the world's leading destination electronic music brands, staging immersive festivals in extraordinary natural locations across the globe. Its Egyptian edition takes place at Khoroum Valley, just outside Sharm El Sheikh, where a natural amphitheatre framed by towering granite rock formations creates one of the region's most spectacular festival settings. By day, the landscape offers hiking trails and Bedouin camps; after dark, it transforms into an open-air venue where lighting and production interact with the surrounding landscape. Following Zamna's debut there in 2025, Khoroum Valley is rapidly emerging as one of the Middle East's most distinctive electronic music destinations.

Leading the lineup for the second edition, Sasha and John Digweed reunite in the desert, bringing the progressive house sound they helped define in the 1990s. They are joined by Korolova, Mind Against, MRAK, Mëstiza and SHIMZA, with further artists to be announced in the coming weeks.

Building on the success of its inaugural edition, Zamna Khoroum Valley returns with increased capacity, expanded production and a wider international lineup, further cementing its place as one of the Middle East's standout electronic music experiences.

Amr Ismail of Khoroum Valley said: "From the beginning, we knew Khoroum Valley was a special place for Zamna. Last year's debut proved just how powerful that combination could be. For 2026, we're raising the bar again with more artists, more production and an even more immersive experience. This is another big step in the journey, and we're excited to share it with everyone."

As well as General Admission, VIP tickets are available, offering exclusive viewing areas, VIP bars, lounges and premium restrooms, alongside access to all general festival zones.
