QUITE LUCKY LAUNCHES RECORD LABEL ALONGSIDE ‘ECHOES’ DOCUMENTARY AND DEBUT SINGLE FROM BLOCKSBERG AND AZOTIX

The Romanian collective marks a new era of cross-border collaboration following the premiere of their second writing camp documentary with Hospital Records.

Romanian drum & bass collective Quite Lucky is thrilled to announce the launch of its new record label, Quite Lucky Records. This milestone coincides with the premiere of their second creative writing camp documentary, ECHOES - Chapter II: Cobor, out on 11th June, followed by their debut single "Feeling Quite Lucky", ushering in a new era of cross-border collaboration.

Since its inception, Quite Lucky has been dedicated to cultivating the soulful, forward-thinking side of drum & bass. By bridging the vibrant Romanian drum and bass scene with the wider international community, the label aims to foster creative collaboration that transcends borders and defines the collective's core ethos.

This mission is illustrated by the documentary series ECHOES, which provides an honest, behind-the-scenes look at the culture and community propelling the scene forward. Filmed at the idyllic Gospodaria Cobor in Transylvania, Romania, the film captures the Quite Lucky creative writing camp, a week-long immersive retreat where emerging Romanian talent worked alongside established artists from Hospital Records. ECHOES - Chapter II: Cobor marks the second documentary in the series, following the collective’s successful previous collaboration with Hospital Records for ECHOES - Chapter I: Viscri. It serves as a visual manifesto for the label, showcasing the raw energy and human connections that define the Quite Lucky ethos.

“The camps made it clear that Romanian artists have both the voice and the energy to travel further. Our role is to create the context, open the doors, and make sure that talent is heard worldwide.” said Andrei Lupșa, founder of Quite Lucky.

Following the documentary launch, Quite Lucky Records will release its first official music offering, "Feeling Quite Lucky" on 19th June. A collaboration between vocalist/writer Blocksberg and producer Azotix, the single was born out of the collective’s 1 Year Anniversary show. It serves as a perfect introduction to the label’s sound, blending soulful, high-energy production with the distinct artistic voices of Romania’s new generation of talent.

The track features the captivating vocals of Blocksberg, a drum and bass vocalist hailing from Transylvania. Known for her debut as a drum and bass vocalist on the track 'Stay' with Mefjus, she brings a unique fusion of raw emotion and vulnerability to this collaboration, with powerful vocals that glide effortlessly across genres, from liquid drum and bass to deep, atmospheric soundscapes.

She is joined by producer Azotix, one of the sharpest new-generation names to emerge from Romania’s drum & bass scene in recent years. With releases on VISION, Overview Music and Critical Music, plus support from genre heavyweights including Halogenix and Rockwell, Azotix brings a refined production instinct and a serious command of the dancefloor to the collaboration.

Quite Lucky Records is committed to providing a home for artists who push the boundaries of drum & bass, with a release schedule planned to maintain this momentum throughout 2026.

THE SUPERMEN LOVERS AND KYE SONES COLLABORATE FOR ‘DANCING IN THE RAIN’ ON POLYDOR

“Dancing in the Rain” is the third single taken from The Supermen Lovers’ upcoming album Coco Bingo, set for release this fall. Following the house-infused “Coloque Seu Canudo” and “One & More”, a tribute to disco legends, The Supermen Lovers returns with a decidedly pop-driven offering.

Built around an instantly infectious chorus, “Dancing in the Rain” is the kind of song that stays with you from the very first listen. It reconnects us with our inner child and those simple moments of joy that can make everything feel lighter again — like dancing in the rain.

Kye Sones’ energy and vocals perfectly complement The Supermen Lovers’ production. The London-based singer delivers an effortless groove, guiding listeners through a bright and uplifting musical journey. A talented artist nominated for both Brit Awards and BAFTAs, Kye Sones has previously collaborated with Lost Frequencies, David Guetta and Ben Nicky. From the very first seconds, his voice gives this carefree pop anthem an addictive quality that lingers long after the song ends.

Like the entire world of Coco Bingo, “Dancing in the Rain” is an ode to joy, freedom and carefree living. A wild and colorful journey, Coco Bingo immerses listeners in an endless celebration — a universe of its own, with “Dancing in the Rain” standing as one of its most euphoric moments.
