DIRTWIRE REIMAGINE MONOLINK’S “MESMERIZED”

The American duo deliver an ethereal and deeply organic reinterpretation as part of The Beauty Of It All remix series on Embassy One

Following the release of Monolink’s acclaimed third studio album The Beauty Of It All last year, Berlin based label Embassy One continues its diverse remix series with a striking new interpretation of “Mesmerized” from American band Dirtwire. Following previous reworks from Maxi Meraki, Yamagucci and Curol, the remix series now takes a markedly different turn, stepping away from club-focused territory and into something more restrained, spiritual and cinematic.

Dirtwire’s remix of “Mesmerized” strips the original back to its emotional essence, reshaping the track through a rich palette of organic instrumentation and atmospheric textures. Built around the duo’s signature use of world instruments, including kamale ngonis, jaw harps, bowed strings, and space fiddles, the remix unfolds with a slow and meditative energy that feels both earthly and otherworldly. Rather than building toward dancefloor release, the track drifts through expansive sonic landscapes, inviting deep listening and introspection.

Known for blending ethnomusicology, psychedelic experimentation and electronic production, Dirtwire occupy a unique space where ancient instrumentation meets modern sound design. Their music draws influence from years of global travel and cultural exchange; from Brazil’s favelas and Lagos’ Shrine to ceremonies in Central America and traditional performances in Bali. The result is a sound the band variously describes as “back porch space cowboy blues,” “swamptronica,” and “electro twang.”

Dirtwire’s productions and live performances are rooted in exploration, combining West African kamale ngonis, jaw harps, bowed banjos, mouth harps and electric string instruments with modern beat production and immersive soundscapes. Emerging from the underground west coast electronic bass scene, the duo have become recognised for pushing the boundaries between live instrumentation and electronic music, creating experiences that feel communal, transportive and deeply human.

With their reimagining of “Mesmerized,” Dirtwire open an entirely new dimension within The Beauty Of It All remix series. Ethereal, spacious and emotionally resonant, the reinterpretation moves beyond conventional remix structures to become something closer to a spiritual transmission, reframing Monolink’s original through texture, atmosphere and organic expression.

GRYFFIN ANNOUNCES PART I OF UPCOMING 4TH STUDIO ALBUM ELEMENTS

Anticipated Single ‘Spin Me Slowly’ With Julia Church Out Now

Following “Ten Years of Music” Two-Night Kickoff At Cow Palace

Dance music powerhouse GRYFFIN today announces Part I of his highly anticipated fourth studio album ELEMENTS due out this Fall via 10K Projects. The announcement arrives alongside his long-awaited single ‘Spin Me Slowly’ with acclaimed vocalist Julia Church out now.

First premiered at Ultra Music Festival in 2025, ‘Spin Me Slowly’ is one of GRYFFIN’s most sought-after IDs. Equal parts uplifting and anthemic, the track captures the emotive songwriting and dynamic energy that’s become a throughline in GRYFFIN’s discography. ‘Spin Me Slowly’ soars with swooning melodies, rushing crescendos, and a heartwarming hook built for crowds to sing along. A propulsive entry in ELEMENTS, ‘Spin Me Slowly’ hints at the metaphysical themes that surround the project while embracing the momentum and force that make it a natural fit for the official Forza Horizon 6 soundtrack.

“When Julia flew to Red Rocks to perform ‘Never Letting Go’ with me in October 2024, it was her first time EVER in the US. And this legend arrived in Denver on a delayed flight from London to Uber straight to Red Rocks and 5 mins later found herself sound checking at the coolest venue in the world. She handled it like the pro that she is and didn’t flinch. Her suitcase was sitting on the stage…no joke. We’d never met, and she’d never performed or been to the US before, but we had this special song that both of us were so excited about. Months later she flew to Miami for Ultra to debut ‘Spin Me Slowly’.” – GRYFFIN

"Watching ‘Spin Me Slowly’ evolve into the song it is today has been incredibly special, and I’m so proud of what we created. Dan is unwavering in keeping the integrity of the songwriting close to his chest, and for that he is a true artist and someone I will always love working with. It’s surreal to think this song has already taken me to stages like Red Rocks, Ultra, and Lollapalooza Chicago. I can’t wait for everyone to finally hear it and hopefully love it as much as we do." – Julia Church

Due out this Fall, ELEMENTS arrives at a pivotal moment for GRYFFIN. While his “Ten Years of Music” concert series celebrates a decade of career-defining records, ELEMENTS looks ahead, introducing the next evolution of his sound and creative vision. The juxtaposition sits at the heart of this next chapter: a reflection on the journey that brought him here and a glimpse into where he’s headed next. The series kicked off over the weekend with two sold-out nights at Cow Palace in his Bay Area hometown, before continuing to Brooklyn, Los Angeles, and Red Rocks later this year.

Based in London by way of South Africa, Julia Church is one of dance music’s favorite singer-songwriters. Her vocal prowess has led to collaborations with John Summit, Armin Van Buuren, Sub Focus, and more. Church first linked with GRYFFIN in 2024 for ‘Never Letting Go’ with ALOK, later performing the collaboration live at Red Rocks.

Stream GRYFFIN and Julia Church’s new single ‘Spin Me Slowly’ available now on all platforms.
