JOHN SUMMIT LAUNCHED HISTORIC [UNVRS] IBIZA RESIDENCY WITH GROUNDBREAKING OPENING NIGHT

A New Era of Ibiza Club Production Debuts as Thousands Experience the First-Ever Experts Only World Built Inside [UNVRS]

John Summit kicked off his debut residency at [UNVRS] last Monday, marking the start of one of the summer's most anticipated weekly events. Joining Summit for the opening night were Max Styler, AYYBO, and Cole Knight, as thousands of fans gathered to witness the launch of a new production created exclusively for [UNVRS].

Making its debut on the island, the show unveiled the most ambitious evolution yet of the Experts Only visual identity, transforming the brand's signature twisted double diamond into a monumental piece of kinetic architecture. Reimagined at an unprecedented scale, the iconic symbol became the centerpiece of a cutting-edge production that surrounded the audience and reshaped the venue throughout the night.

From the moment doors opened, it became clear that this was not a traditional club show. Rather than serving as a backdrop to the performance, the production placed fans directly inside the visual language of Experts Only, surrounding the dancefloor with kinetic architecture, monumental sculptural elements, synchronized lighting, video content, lasers, and special effects operating as one unified ecosystem.

At the center of the experience was a monumental reimagining of the double diamond, elevated above the dancefloor and continuously shifting throughout the night. Automated diamond-shaped structures opened, moved, and reconfigured in sync with the music, while illuminated ceiling panels extended the visual language across the entire venue.

Throughout the evening, lighting, video, lasers, and architecture worked together as a single system, creating a production that evolved alongside the performance while maintaining a strong connection between artist and audience.

The opening night marked a major milestone for both John Summit and [UNVRS], establishing a residency concept designed specifically for the venue and its future-facing vision of nightlife.

As the residency continues throughout the summer, Experts Only at [UNVRS] is set to become one of Ibiza's defining weekly experiences.

John Summit is one of the most in-demand names in global dance music. The superstar DJ, producer, and label owner has amassed over a billion global streams, scored two #1 U.S. dance radio hits, and landed eight Top 10 tracks on the Billboard Hot Electronic/Dance Songs chart. Known for his explosive live shows, Summit consistently sells out major venues worldwide, from a lightning-fast, under-two-hour sellout at New York City’s Madison Square Garden to three packed nights at L.A.’s Kia Forum and a headline date at BMO Stadium. His global rise continued with a debut at London’s O2 Arena, followed by a sold-out year-ending performance at Folsom Field that drew 38,000 fans, and the launch of his groundbreaking Experts Only Festival NYC—a two-day event that brought 50,000 people to Randall’s Island in September 2025. John Summit will make his Ibiza residency debut later this year, headlining nine Mondays at [UNVRS] for his first-ever residency on the island. He’ll then return stateside for a hometown headline performance at Lollapalooza. Whether commanding an arena or an underground club, the Chicago native (now based in Miami) brings his signature high-octane energy to every set.

Behind the scenes, Summit is a meticulous and thoughtful artist. Formerly a CPA by day and music tutor by night, he now spends long hours in the studio crafting dynamic, emotionally resonant tracks. As a touring artist, he’s headlined festivals around the world, including the Sahara Stage at Coachella 2024, and produced unforgettable events in unique locations — from the hills of Tennessee to snowy takeovers in Vail, Colorado, and Tahoe, Nevada — all under the banner of his label, Experts Only. Founded in pursuit of complete creative freedom, Experts Only is a global movement built on the principle of music without limits — blending house, techno, melodic, and everything in between. Summit’s global hits like “Where You Are” (feat. HAYLA), “Human” (feat. Echoes), and “Go Back” with Sub Focus (feat. Julia Church) reflect that ethos. He has also been recognized for his impact in the dance music genre through nominations Billboard Music Awards, American Music Awards, and iHeartRadio Music Awards nominations.

On July 12, 2024, he released his debut album Comfort In Chaos. Exploring themes of vice and virtue, highs and lows, and the duality of the human experience, the album reveals the man behind the icon — pairing Summit’s signature dancefloor energy with raw emotion and introspection. Building on this duality, Summit released his subsequent album CTRL ESCAPE on April 15th – reframing that tension through a new lens: the clash between 9–5 monotony and the electric release of the rave. Sonically and visually tracing Summit’s path from accountant to artist, the project positions music not just as an escape, but as a communal force—where collective euphoria becomes both rebellion and belonging. This Fall he is set to embark on a North American CTRL ESCAPE arena tour, marking his biggest headline run to date.

ÄGAPĒ FESTIVAL NYC REVEALS FULL LINEUP AND DAY-BY-DAY SCHEDULE FOR DEBUT EDITION AT INDUSTRY CITY

Two days, two stages, and eighteen hours of nonstop music per day; Brooklyn’s leading underground techno collective unveils a 34-artist program spanning hard bounce, hard groove, hard techno, and hypnotic techno, led by Kobosil, Somewhen, Clara Cuvé, Volvox, Bad Boombox, Adrián Mills, and O.B.I., with a Sunday indoor takeover from Berlin's 44 Label Group.

After five years of warehouse nights and an ever-growing dancefloor family, ÄGAPĒ is putting the full shape of its first festival on the table. The New York event platform and record label reveals the complete lineup and full day-by-day timetable for the highly anticipated debut of ÄGAPĒ Festival, a two-day celebration of underground electronic music taking over Industry City in Brooklyn, New York on September 5 and 6, 2026. Built across two stages and running a remarkable eighteen hours each day, from noon until 6 AM, the inaugural edition marks the biggest moment yet for a collective that has built one of New York's most devoted dance music communities.

Across the weekend, the program charts a deliberate path through the breadth of contemporary techno, moving between the playful, melodic energy of hard bounce, the muscular swing of hard groove, the peak-time intensity of hard techno, and the trance-state pull of hypnotic techno - a range that few North American festivals attempt on a single bill.

"Five years ago, we started with a vision, and a community slowly grew around it. Over 120 events later, this festival is where that journey has led us. Two days, two stages, 18 hours of nonstop music each day. We built this platform for the artists, many of whom grew in notoriety right alongside us. This event is for the people who have shown up for us since the very beginning, as well as those who are yet to come. Industry City felt like the right place for New York to experience this movement.
- Andrés Daza  (alias Junkfile), founder of ÄGAPĒ

Day one belongs to two distinct worlds. The open-air Hot Meal stage carries the festival from afternoon into night with a run of forward-thinking selectors - Daybreak, Saint Velez, Madness Of, Ollie Lishman, Fumi, Mischluft, Bad Boombox, and HHunter - moving from brighter, melodic territory toward harder, heavier ground as the sun goes down. Inside, the Face 2 Face stage brings one of European clubbing's most talked-about formats to New York, placing two artists opposite one another in the center of a 360-degree dancefloor with no booth and no hierarchy, only the conversation between them. Saturday's room hosts six of these pairings, threatening hard groove and hard techno through the format: Ramsey Neville F2F Michelle Kay, Junkfile F2F Diossa, Flash Gea F2F Conrad Taylor, Cloudy F2F Serafina, Adrián Mills F2F Emilija, and Fenrick F2F Supergloss.

Day two raises the intensity. The outdoor stage gathers a cross-Atlantic spine of hypnotic and hard techno: Dalton Taylor, Marco Neves b2b Jay York, Future.666, David Löhlein, Aiden b2b Kobosil, and Triptykh, with NYC mainstay Volvox and German hardtechno institution O.B.I. among the names anchoring the programming. Indoors, ÄGAPĒ hands the room over for a full takeover from 44 Label Group, the Berlin label and brand founded by Kobosil that has become one of the defining forces in contemporary hard techno. The takeover brings its core family across the Atlantic - KAYA, Ueberrest, Somewhen, Clara Cuvé, and Kobosil - and closes the festival with a rare three-way Kobosil b2b Somewhen b2b Ueberrest that carries the weekend to its peak.

Industry City offers a fitting home for a debut of this scale. The 35-acre industrial complex on the Sunset Park waterfront, begun in 1895 as Bush Terminal, has been reborn over the last decade as one of New York's most distinctive cultural campuses, today home to more than 650 businesses and a rapidly growing slate of large-scale music programming, from House of Yes open-air takeovers to May's inaugural WHY NOT NOW? Festival. ÄGAPĒ Festival will operate across an outdoor courtyard stage and a connected indoor warehouse room, both built out with full festival-grade production, designed to flow into each other so the program can move from sunlit afternoons into deep, late-night warehouse hours without losing the thread.

With doors at noon and music until 6 AM both days, ÄGAPĒ Festival 2026 delivers thirty-six hours of programming across the weekend. Two-day and single-day passes are on sale now. For full timetable details and ticket information, please visit https://agape-festival.com/.

Named for the Greek word for the highest and most selfless form of love, ÄGAPĒ began in 2021 as a single warehouse night in Brooklyn - a sound system, a carefully chosen lineup, and a room where people could lose themselves in the music. Five years and more than 120 events later, it has grown into one of New York's most respected underground electronic music platforms and a record label that has helped shape a new generation of American techno talent, surpassing $1M in total revenue while building a community defined by loyalty and trust. ÄGAPĒ Festival 2026 is the platform's most ambitious step yet: two days, two stages, 10,000 people, eighteen hours of music each day, and a Brooklyn industrial waterfront finally large enough to hold the movement that has grown around it.

FLORIAN PICASSO RETURNS TO FLUID WITH NEW ‘PRETTY LIES’ EP

Featuring Polyamor’s Mika Heggemann

Artist of the moment Florian Picasso returns to FLUID on with Pretty Lies, a four-track EP that moves between trance, acid, speed house and hard dance while continuing the producer’s shift towards a more high-impact, club-focused sound.

Following the release of lead single ‘Dior’ earlier this year, the EP builds on the fast-paced, melodic direction Florian has been leaning into across recent releases. Across all four tracks, Pretty Lies balances euphoric hooks with heavier percussion and rave-driven energy, designed with both festival stages and club spaces in mind.

Over the years, Florian Picasso has steadily evolved beyond the progressive house sound he first became associated with, developing a style that pulls from multiple corners of dance music while still maintaining a strong crossover edge. The French-Vietnamese producer has released on labels including Spinnin’ Records and Protocol Recordings and received support from artists such as Martin Garrix, Armin van Buuren and Nicky Romero.

The EP’s lead single, "Pretty Lies," is a high-octane collaboration featuring Polyamor co-founder Mika Heggemann. This bouncy anthem masterfully fuses euphoric trance melodies with razor-sharp acid synths and heavy-hitting kicks. Engineered with a "crossover" DNA, it strikes the perfect balance between mainstage festival energy and radio-ready accessibility. With Mika’s massive global reach and Florian’s signature production, this is a peak-time weapon designed for maximum playlist retention.

“Dior”, a high-energy speed house cut that blends trance-driven momentum with playful vocal hooks and the unmistakable bounce of the iconic Korg M1 bassline. Built with both club impact and wider crossover appeal in mind, the track channels fast-paced intensity through slick, forward-thinking production.

"Exctasy" is a high-tension tribute to the golden era of 2000s trance. Built around a slow-burning, cinematic build-up and a brooding, low-register male spoken word, the track captures the hypnotic energy of Armin van Buuren’s early classics mixed with the relentless drive of Basshunter. It’s a nostalgic yet modern peak-time weapon designed to lock a dancefloor into a trance-like state before delivering a massive, euphoric release.

The EP’s ambitious finale, "Wonderland" is a genre-bending masterclass in modern Trance and Hard Dance. The track features a syncopated, off-beat bassline reminiscent of Latin Core, anchored by a searing, signature Acid lead synth. In a bold pivot, the breakdown introduces jungle-inspired drum breaks layered over timeless, classic house piano chords. A true "sonic journey," this closing track is a definitive sum-up of dance music’s past, present, and future, engineered for the most adventurous festival sets.

Tracklist:

1) Florian Picasso & Mika Heggemann - Pretty Lies

2) Dior

3) Exctasy

4) Wonderland
