PRESSURE, INSTABILITY AND CONSTANT RE-INVENTION HAVE SHAPED LEE ANN ROBERT’S FORTHCOMING NEW ERA

LEE ANN ROBERTS RETURNS WITH A BRAND-NEW STATEMENT OF HER NEW ERA

Lee Ann Roberts does not enter a room like someone asking for permission. She enters like someone who has already survived the part where permission mattered. She is no longer at the point in her career where she needs to introduce herself. She is at the point where she establishes her next form.

After years of global touring density, uncompromising peak-time presence, and steadily growing international pull, ‘TAKE CONTROL’ marks the first fully defined phase of her new era. Not as a simple shift in sound. Not as cosmetic rebranding. But as a precise concentration of everything that now makes Lee Ann Roberts one of the most compelling and highly charged figures in the international circuit: control, tension, discipline, emotional force, and a presence that naturally holds attention.

Born in South Africa and shaped by pressure, instability, and constant self-reinvention, Lee Ann Roberts has always carried an energy that never belonged to easy categories. Before music became her centre, she moved through worlds that generate visibility but rarely true authorship. That chapter gave her exposure, but it did not give her authorship. Music did. It was through music that projection turned into presence. Image turned into will. The past turned into pressure. And pressure turned into control.

Opening the project on the 22nd May with ‘IN THE SHADOWS’, a tense and seductive first signal. It’s fast-moving fusion of punchy techno and psytrance, driven by a distinctive vocal topline, but melodic at its core. ‘IN YOUR MIND’ offers a darker, more sinister psy-techno cut. Acid-tinged rave nuances run throughout, giving it a hypnotic, almost haunting edge.

The late-night endurance of ‘THE NIGHT GOES ON’ delivers a standout vocal, centred around a blistering bassline and a strong sense of forward momentum. The authority of ‘TAKE CONTROL’, the EP’s title track is slightly more measured in pace but still carrying intensity, spacious atmospherics and commanding vocals give the track depth.

‘OUT OF THE DARK’ marks a release point that feels less like closure than re-entry. A closing track that pulls together the EP’s core elements. Heavy low-end, sharp drum work and rolling high-end detail drive it forward. Direct, energetic and designed to hold a dancefloor deep into the set.

A closing track that pulls together the EP’s core elements. The darker and more restrained sound of ‘BACK TO THE RHYTHM’ focuses on mood and structure. It is a track that see’s Lee Ann go back to her roots. Stripped-back in parts. The vocal sits deeper in the mix, adding emotion without dominating.

Her current sound draws from psytrance tension, hard techno pressure, emotional vocals, and cinematic mainstage architecture to form a language of its own. ‘TAKE CONTROL’ marks a different level - one where the music, the visual language and the narrative all move as one.

Lee Ann Roberts’s ‘TAKE CONTROL’ will be released on the 24th July, with the first single ‘IN THE SHADOWS’ on the kicking off the series.

AMELIE LENS HEADLINES 2000-YEAR-OLD CAVE ROMANE AS BSH RETURNS TO CROATIA’S HISTORIC LANDSCAPES

Amelie Lens will headline an open-air show at Cave Romane on July 3, 2026, performing in one of Europe’s most distinctive natural settings for electronic music.

Located in Vinkuran, just outside Pula, Cave Romane is a 2,000-year-old limestone quarry that once supplied stone for the Pula Arena. Today, it is defined by rock faces rising up to 50 metres, forming a vast natural amphitheatre with strong acoustic properties and a raw, exposed environment. Its scale and geology have made it an established location for large-format electronic music events in Croatia.

It is within this context that Amelie Lens arrives, bringing one of techno’s most recognisable contemporary figures to the quarry. Known for high-intensity, precision-led sets and a global touring presence, she has remained at the forefront of modern techno, with recent releases including ‘Whatever You Do’ and ‘Falling Into Acid Dreams’ reflecting her club-driven focus.

The event is presented by BSH Events, which will debut a new visual concept featuring laser projection mapping designed to interact with the quarry’s vertical stone surfaces. The production will enhance the scale and texture of the space and transform the ancient site into a fully integrated audiovisual environment unlike anything seen before.

Together, at the striking historical site of an ancient Roman Quarry, Amelie Lens unites with BSH Events to produce a defining show for the summer.

Tickets are available via entrio.hr, starting from 24.00 EUR

AURA ANNOUNCES RICHIE HAWTIN HEADLINE SHOW AT AN 18TH-CENTURY ROYAL PALACE IN PALERMO FOLLOWING SOLD-OUT SEGESTA DEBUT

Following the debut edition, the Director of the Archaeological Park of Segesta said "The time has come to trust young people" as the series moves to a historic Palermo royal residence on 1st June

Aura's debut edition sold out beside the ancient Doric temple at Segesta, and now the series moves to Palermo. On 1st June, Richie Hawtin headlines at Palazzina Cinese, an 18th-century royal residence built as a retreat for King Ferdinand III, as Aura continues its programme of electronic music events at Sicily's most culturally significant locations.

The debut edition of Aura drew a sold-out crowd to the Parco Archeologico di Segesta in western Sicily, one of the island's most significant ancient sites, home to a remarkably preserved Doric temple overlooking the surrounding countryside. The response from both audience and site confirmed what the Aura team had set out to demonstrate; electronic music and heritage locations can coexist in a meaningful way.

Luigi Biondo, Director of the Archaeological Park of Segesta, said: “A connection between nature and architecture - this is exactly the path we shared with Aura, an event that brings the world together through music and beauty. The time has come to place our trust in young people, because they are the ones who will help us find new paths, and care for the extraordinary places that surround us.”

Few artists have shaped contemporary techno as decisively as Richie Hawtin. Founder of the M-nus label and a defining figure of the Windsor-Detroit scene, he reached international recognition through his Plastikman releases and DJ sets that have continually pushed the technical limits of live performance. From early '90s warehouse sets to headline slots at Time Warp, DC10 and his long-running Ibiza residency ENTER., Hawtin has remained one of the genre's most consistent innovators.

Aura works in close partnership with local authorities and site custodians to stage events at heritage locations across Sicily, with each edition contributing to regional tourism and raising the international profile of the sites involved. The Palermo show is the second in a broader 2026 programme, with further events and locations to be announced.
