MDDLTN RETURNS TO INSOMNIAC'S DREAMSTATE RECORDS WITH A NEW NOSTALGIC DREAM TRANCE SINGLE, "THE MOMENTS"

The North East England producer channels classic trance influences with his follow-up appearance on the Dreamstate label, an uplifting single showcased through a modern, peak-time lens.

MDDLTN returns to Dreamstate Records with his first-ever standalone single,

“The Moments,” slated for release on January 16th. Tapping into classic trance

from his formative years the track offers a fix of nostalgia with a markedly modern framework fit for massive festivals and sweat-slathered club floors.

Paying tribute to a period of trance that shook the electronic scene at its core, “The Moments” is a record sculpted by iconic sounds that shaped MDDLTN’s sonic palate into what it is today. It's a euphoric, uplifting track featuring a pitch-bending Roland synth lead reminiscent of the guitar-tinged sounds that transformed Ibiza into a veritable mecca for electronic music in the ‘90s. He rehashes the meowing style melodies with lightning-fast percussion, hard bounce basslines, squelchy fills, and soaring arpeggiated textures.

Speaking to the inspiration he drew from while constructing his new single, MDDLTN shares, “This record blends the high-impact sound of modern dancefloors with the nostalgic spirit of the early 2000s. It’s a fresh, dynamic mix designed to light up big rooms and festivals.”

Blowing up from the North East England rave scene, MDDLTN is a UK producer currently enjoying an astronomical ascent. He’s celebrated for having a refined ear well beyond his years, amounting to a timeless yet modern fusion of trance, hard house, techno, and seminal rave music. Last year, he made his first appearance on the Dreamstate label with his “Cala Vida” collab with Karl Mac as part of the ‘Convergence Vol. 5’ compilation EP, which garnered support from media outlets including Find Your Sounds, Modern Neon, and Perspective.

MDDLTN’s music has enjoyed radio support from A State of Trance and BBC Radio 1, alongside tastemaker plays from Hannah Laing, Ferry Corsten, Amelie Lens, Maddix, David Rust, Ben Gold, Holy Priest, ALT8, and Kimmic. On the live front, the UK sensation continues to build momentum with an upcoming performance at Trance In The Woods Festival, following previous appearances at Hï Ibiza, Ibiza Rocks, Custom House Square, and Stages Festival.

With “The Moments,” MDDLTN reimagines a classic dream trance sound with his own signature twist, reinforcing his place at the forefront of trance’s new generation.

MDDLTN (Jake Middleton) is a rising UK DJ/producer fusing hard dance, techno, and trance into a high-energy sound. With major sets at Creamfields, Hi Ibiza

and Belfast’s Telegraph Building, and releases on labels such as Armada and Dreamstate, he’s rapidly gaining traction. Supported by Amelie Lens, Hannah Laing, Maddix, and Holy Priest, with airplay on BBC Radio 1 and ASOT, MDDLTN is one to watch.

FREQUENT COLLABORATORS BARON (FR), MOORI, MESSINA, AND MEL BUNDO RELEASE INDIE DANCE CLUB TUNE "COMPASS" VIA IN / ROTATION

The four French producers create palpable synergy for their debut offering on Insomniac’s sub-label, a moody, club-focused indie dance cut built for late-night floors.

Baron (FR), Moori, Messina, and Mel Bundo combine strengths for their new single, releasing on January 13th via Insomniac’s IN / ROTATION imprint. “Compass” is an indie dance club record that gravitates toward the French producers’ shared attraction to vibrant, percussive-driven music.

Compass” features four groove specialists known for having their own distinct directions, aligning on a record that sees them pointing to their true north as house producers. Deep, rolling basslines and tightly coiled drums create a magnetic field for the collab, which navigates through a host of compelling components that enter and exit the focus masterfully. Spanish-sung vocal hook, jazzy brass fills, sustained string pads, and sporadic detuned sawtooth sequences are the markers keeping the track on pace and everchanging. The result is a late-night cut that carefully balances sophistication with an undeniable dancefloor pull.

Based in Paris, Baron (FR) is a house producer whose global sound exudes a seductive allure. He’s gained significant traction for creating refined, crowd-pleasing rhythms informed by his affinity for indie dance, jazz, and deep house. Along with a previous collaboration with Mel Bundo, Baron has worked alongside artists including AMÉMÉ, Darmon, Dorian Craft, Jaalex, and Nico de Andrea. His releases have earned tastemaker support from Pete Tong, Carl Cox, Adam Ten, Jamie Jones, WhoMadeWho, Seth Troxler, and RÜFÜS DU SOL. Baron also has a string of high-profile headline shows lined up at Rainbow Café, Magic Carpet Tulum, The Arcade (Washington, D.C.), Baïes Courchevel, and KOKO London.

Also based in Paris, Moori is an emerging name in house music. In 2024, the fledgling artist kickstarted his career with a captivating melodic house & techno offering entitled “Just Nudes.” It was a remarkable debut, quickly establishing himself as an artist to watch with natural instincts for emotive songwriting and sleek, forward-thinking production.

Fellow Frenchman Messina has spent the last year crafting a sound that bridges deep house, indie dance, and minimal tech. With a growing catalog of groove-driven dating back to the top of 2025, the rising producer has been off to a phenomenal start. He’s also been hitting his stride alongside Mel Bundo, with two recent collabs “Chicago” and “Groove Thang.”

Based in Miami, Mel Bundo is a French house producer building a name for himself with smooth, club-ready cuts that combine influences from indie dance and deep house. His involvement here is perhaps one that closes the one-degree of separation between each of the collaborators, considering he’s previously dropped singles separately with each of the three names prior. His music has been gaining support from Pete Tong, mOat, Aiwaska, Luch, and AmyElle.

Together, the four artists channel their unique styles and varying sonic directions into one cohesive club track. “Compass” is a compelling debut entry for them onto Insomniac’s IN / ROTATION catalog, an indie dance groove that continues to expand their presence around the world.
