The influential DJ Awards is back for the 24th edition with another iconic, and more importantly independent and authentic, celebration of electronic music culture at the end of a superb summer season. On Thursday 9th October 2025, the spotlight returns to the White Isle for a night of deserved recognition and unforgettable music and dining at ROTO Club in Ibiza Town, a cool, urban hotspot with stunning views of the sea and Dalt Vila. Ahead of the ceremony, the Industry Awards Winners, as voted for by a Grand Jury, are now revealed.

Now in its second consecutive year since relaunching, the DJ Awards continues to loudly and proudly champion integrity and independence. The Industry Awards spotlight behind-the-scenes excellence, visionary leadership and the vital elements that power the dance music ecosystem. It has a global outlook and celebrates both red-hot new musical trends, enduring scene legends and more.

Due to recent and unfortunate developments regarding the devastating floods in Ibiza, the DJ Awards will be donating funds from the ceremony towards the Spanish Red Cross (Creu Rojo) to assist those affected by the flash floods.

Unlike commercial awards and pay-to-play platforms, the refined DJ Awards ceremony, in partnership with YouTube, Suntory and Skiddle this year, stands apart by celebrating talent on merit alone. New for this year, every nominee is selected by a fully independent Grand Jury made up of respected insiders, creatives, industry and market leaders and experts from over 50 leading music brands and institutions worldwide. This unique move guarantees a diverse, authentic, and genre-spanning representation of today’s dynamic DJ culture that also connects back to the integral and honest roots of the DJ Awards. It’s real recognition for top level talent, innovation and excellence by those with huge experience and who are perfectly placed to judge.

The ceremony itself will see nominees and music professionals gather, spanning across a wide-ranging selection of categories, genres, geographies and industry influence, awaiting the reveal of DJ Awards winners. This year's categories include the newly launched Balearic and Hard Dance/Bounce categories, plus returning favourites Afro, Breakthrough, Drum & Bass, Garage/Bassline, Hard Techno, House, International DJ, Latin/Reggaeton, Live Act, Newcomer, Prog/Melodic, Tech House, Techno and Trance.

The DJ Awards yet again promises to be one of the standout nights of the Ibiza season, on October 9th a celebration of music industry excellence will commence in a venue at the heart of Ibiza's underground scene.

BADCOMPPANY DEBUT WITH NEW LINK EP

OUT NOW AS PART OF DIRTYBIRD’S 20TH ANNIVERSARY YEAR

Brazilian duo BadComppany are making their label debut with their two-track LINK EP out now as part of the Dirtybird’s 20th anniversary.

Buy / Stream LINK

A dynamic twofer, LINK is a spirited statement piece that introduces BadComppany’s joint sound to the flock. ‘Girls In Green’ unrolls with bouncy tech-forward arpeggiations while ‘That Good’ instantly raises alarm bells with its cheeky vocal chops and playful patterns. The resulting 8 minutes are an intriguing duality of off-kilter excitement and a familiar warmth befitting the Dirtybird catalog.

Dirtybird’s bodacious basslines and hypnotic rhythms have long drawn rising producers from Brazil, creating a natural home for the country’s most forward-thinking talent. After years of championing acts like Bruno Furlan, Cour T., and DJ Glen, the label curated their Taste Of Brazil compilation last year to further spotlight the bridging sound of Brazilian house and techno. Dirtybird will continue to broaden its footprint in Brazil later this year with an upcoming tour throughout the region.

LINK EP Tracklist
1. Girls In Green
2. That Good

BadComppany is the Brazilian duo of hip-hop veteran DJ Zeu and young producer Raphael Cordoso. They launched the project in 2024 with their debut single ‘Too Mush Baby’ via Cour T.’s Colapso. Continuing to garner attention with their innovative blend of traditional hip-hop and modern electronic music, LINK marks BadComppany’s debut on Dirtybird.

HUMINAL AND MITCH DE KLEIN JOIN FORCES ON ‘MIRAGE’ EP

OUT NOW ON PURIFIED RECORDS

With an impressive catalogue of forward-thinking productions to his name, Dutch artist Huminal joins forces with fellow countryman Mitch de Klein for the captivating ‘Mirage’ EP, marking Mitch’s debut on Purified Records. After a summer filled with standout performances across festivals and shows, the duo channel their creative momentum into this release.

Opening with the collaborative title track, ‘Mirage’, they weave a deep yet playful journey built around groovy synth motifs and textured sound design. Intricate rhythmic layers push the arrangement forward, while an effortlessly laidback flow keeps the energy fluid and inviting. Evoking moments of euphoria and introspection in equal measure, the track highlights both artists’ shared ability to craft emotive soundscapes that resonate across dancefloors and beyond. On the flip side, Mitch steps into the spotlight with his solo cut ‘Night Owl’ - an atmospheric excursion guided by expansive break moments and soaring synths. With its evolving intensity and otherworldly character, the track delivers a powerful late-night voyage destined to linger long after the final note fades.

Renowned for his colourful, melody-driven sound, Huminal (aka Jelle Jansen) has carved out a unique space within the electronic music landscape. Blending organic textures with elegant rhythms, his productions enchant listeners with their ability to transport them to another world. Garnering widespread support from global tastemakers including Eelke Kleijn, Lane 8 and Nora En Pure, as well as an ever-growing international fanbase, Jelle continues to push his sonic boundaries. Bringing his own flair to the project, Mitch de Klein makes a striking entrance to the label with the ‘Mirage’ EP. Known for his versatile take on melodic house and techno, his work has earned support from global heavyweights including Joris Voorn and RÜFÜS DU SOL to name just a few.

Taken by Rachel Moore, the ‘Mirage’ EP artwork features a delicate jellyfish drifting gracefully through the endless blue of French Polynesia. Rachel is a professional underwater photographer and environmental advocate dedicated to capturing the wonders of marine life. With a special focus on the grace and intelligence of humpback whales, her storytelling inspires a deeper connection to the ocean and a commitment to its preservation.
