BASS MUSIC DISRUPTOR AND MULTI-INSTRUMENTALIST FATHER FUNK TAPS GRIZ-RAPPER PROBCAUSE AND PRODUCER ZOSKA FOR “TRIPPY ROAD” - THE LEAD SINGLE FROM HIS FORTHCOMING FUNK THE SYSTEM LP

The UK-bred, Vancouver-based producer also announces his international Funk The System tour, taking him to ten cities across U.S., Canada, and the UK, with more to be announced

“‘Trippy Road’ is the first single from my brand new album Funk The System! It's been almost three years to the day since I first wrote the initial sketch for ‘Trippy Road’, and while I usually work fast, I’m glad I gave this one the time and attention it deserved. I knew it had serious potential — and I’m so happy with how it turned out. zoska is one of the producers I admire most right now — her music is colourful, fun, and funky, just how I like it. Working with ProbCause was incredible too; he’s behind some of the tracks I hold dearest, and he elevated this one to a whole new level. Add to that my dopest artwork yet from CatDirty, and this might just be the release I’m proudest of to date. I can’t wait for the world to hear it!” - Father Funk

UK-bred, Vancouver-based bass disruptor Father Funk is ready to enter a new chapter with his new track, “Trippy Road” - the lead single from his forthcoming album, Funk The System, due out Friday, November 14A collaboration with rapper ProbCause - who’s known for standout features for artists such as GRiZ, Levity, Big Gigantic, Daily Bread, and more - and fellow funky bass producer zoska, “Trippy Road” is a dubstep banger that embodies Father Funk’s mission to reinvent funk for the bass generation.

Trippy Road” represents a culmination of Father Funk’s career thus far. As a pink-haired, bass music producer with roots as a guitarist, bassist, and trombonist for various punk and ska bands - and now six years sober - Father Funk has been a bit of an outcast from the electronic music industry machine. Starting as a prominent figure in the Ghetto Funk scene, Father Funk has been able to pave his own path, endearing himself to fans and fellow musicians alike through his genre-defying bass style - leading to Beatport-charting singles (his track “Be Funky” was #1 on the Glitch Hop Chart); collaborations with artists such as Dirt Monkey, Boogie T, SubDocta, and SoDown; releases on labels such as Wakaan, Drama Club, Jadu Dala,  Space Pizza Records, and Ghetto Funk; performances at international festivals such as Shambhala (which he’s played seven times), Glastonbury, Boomtown, ShindigRainbow Serpment, and Mushroom Valley; and a tour support spot alongside The Floozies.

On “Trippy Road,” listeners can hear how Father Funk’s outsider mentality has informed his creative approach, breaking the conventional rules of dubstep while still delivering the cathartic headbanging bombast that fans of the genre have come to expect. Blending together live instrumentation (such as guitar, bass, brass, organ and clavinet) and genres such as trap, funk, hip-hop, and soul, “Trippy Road” reflects Father Funk’s distinct songwriting skill set - a sonic mashup that takes listeners on a fully realized journey, while injecting the bass music scene with a newfound sense of heart and spirit. As a result, “Trippy Road” showcases its creator’s focus on genuine songcraft, forgoing the conventional build-drop-build-drop formula.

The story of “Trippy Road” spans two years of collaboration and persistence. In 2023, Father Funk and zoska first discussed working together and developed an early sketch of “Trippy Road,” which quickly became a crowd favorite in live sets but still felt incomplete. After months of back-and-forth, the breakthrough came in late 2024 with the addition of vocals from ProbCause, who rounded out the song with his boundless swagger.

Kicking off with bluesy, sun-kissed guitar licks, “Trippy Road” quickly drops into ProbCause’s buttery flow over a trunk-rattling trap beat. The song then builds into its central section - a raucous dubstep soundscape replete with intricately designed wubby bass and hard-hitting drums. Vibrant and blazingly fun, “Trippy Road” takes listeners on a ride through Father Funk’s distinct inner-creativity.

As the lead single from his upcoming album Funk The System, “Trippy Road” also serves as a sharp encapsulation of the LP’s ethos: a project that refuses to abide by the conventional wisdom of bass music. Playing by his own rules, Father Funk is building a new paradigm for the genre - one that subverts the irony and cynicism that has dominated the scene for years, and instead emphasizes sincerity and joy. The title also speaks to Father Funk’s overall guiding philosophy: to release independently, to fight against the music industry, and to overcome personal struggle to make life-affirming music for others. As a result, these new tracks feature an eclectic and dynamic spirit, seeking to surprise as much as they are trying to entertain, and appeal to the headphone listeners as much as the rail-riders.

Fans will be able to hear “Trippy Road” and other Funk The System tracks on Father Funk’s upcoming international Funk The System Tour - a ten-date run that’ll see the producer perform in cities such as Vancouver, Bristol, Reno, Spokane, and Chico. More shows will be announced at a later date.

MATHAME ANSWER THE CALL WITH HIGHLY-ANTICIPATED CLUB WEAPON, 'KOKO'

“WE BELIEVE A NEW SONIC LANGUAGE IS EMERGING: DARK, MINIMAL, TECH, YET EMOTIONAL. FOR US, IT’S THE RIGHT MOMENT TO EXPERIMENT, STEP OUT OF OUR COMFORT ZONE, AND EXPLORE NEW TERRITORIES.” - MATHAME

Mathame double down on their ascent to greatness with ‘KOKO’, a high-voltage and equally hyped club cut that reveals a new fold to Amedeo and Matteo’s ever-evolving vision as pioneers of the EmoTech sound. The single delivers a soundscape that begs for strobes and smoke-filled rooms, already proven by pre-release support from John Summit, Dom Dolla, and Anyma. Go loco for 'KOKO' when the release finally hits streaming services everywhere on September 19.

Where Mathame’s previous release, ‘Love Somebody’, was a showcase of melody, ‘KOKO’ is a masterclass in clubbing finesse. With a percolating beat, menacing rave synths, and hazy vocal track, the single guarantees to inject a jolt of energy into any late night set. Already a much-sought-after ID, the track has been a highlight in the duo's recent shows, debuting with new visuals at UNVRS in Ibiza earlier this month. That momentum has been carried by the likes of John Summit and Dom Dolla, who belted the record across festivals, beach clubs, and Ibiza throughout the summer, certifying ‘KOKO’ as one of the most anticipated drops of the year.

In Mathame’s own words,

“‘KOKO’ represents our reinterpretation of a sound rooted in our street hip hop past. It’s a monster—dark, minimal, tech, but still emotional. The lyrics speak about the comfort zone of being in one’s own ‘koko’ (cocoon), while the music constantly challenges that safety.”

The release continues Mathame's seismic year, which includes the aforementioned ‘Love Somebody’ and a monumental collaboration with Tiësto on ‘Everlight’. Their studio innovation is matched by a tour schedule that balances quality with quantity, as September alone sees the duo headline London’s iconic Drumsheds (Sept 26), followed by back-to-back French showcases at the historic Château de Fontainebleau in Paris (Sept 27) and Le Sucre in Lyon (Sept 28). They continue from there, stopping at Creamfields in Argentina and Chile (Oct 11–12), before turning their attention to North America as the year comes to a close.

With 'KOKO', Mathame justify their meteoric rise yet again. Whether they're in the studio or behind the decks, it's clear that their formula of innovation and hard work is simply unmatched. Experience the hype for yourself, when their long-awaited new single lands on streaming services everywhere on September 19.

Amedeo and Matteo, the duo behind Mathame, are leading the EmoTech charge, connecting audiences around the globe through transportive music that transcends genres, generations, and dimensions. More than another DJ duo, Mathame are sonic alchemists hose productions unfold as poignant odysseys that blur the lines beteen reverie and reality.

GERMAN-POLISH PRODUCER LIQUIDFIVE RELEASES STELLAR NEW SINGLE 'LEAVE AN ECHO'

German-Polish producer and DJ liquidfive (Martin Maximilian Kotzur) returns this Friday 12 September with his new single Leave An Echo. Since breaking through with Freedom in 2017, liquidfive has carved a reputation for crafting euphoric dance-pop that has connected on both festival stages and radio.

For Kotzur, music has always been about more than beats. After setbacks and milestones, from the deeply personal Back 2 U written after a devastating apartment fire, to the success of Veins which climbed into the US iTunes Dance Top 10, his songs have become a way of turning lived experience into something universal. That instinct carries straight into Leave An Echo.

The new track opens with a vocal line brimming with vulnerability, before layers of glowing synths and pulsing rhythms build around it. It’s a song that threads the line between tension and release: one moment it feels like a quiet reminder of the weight of ones memory, the next it surges into a rush of sound that demands movement. “This song is about the idea that nothing we live through is ever really lost,” Kotzur says. “People, moments, and emotions leave a mark on us – an echo that stays even when time moves on.” With its balance of emotion and energy, Leave An Echo is both a personal statement and a crowd anthem in waiting.

The accompanying video mirrors that tension, following a woman driving alone through the night, her solitude cut against flashes of a crowded club. It plays like an escape that never fully takes hold — as though she’s running from something, only to be pulled back into its orbit.
