EXIT FESTIVAL LAUNCHES ‘SAVE EXIT FREEDOM’ CAMPAIGN AMID SERBIA GOVERNMENT BACKLASH

Save EXIT Freedom

Born from the student protests back in 2000, EXIT quickly grew into one of the most popular and respected music festivals on the planet. After publicly supporting the current mass student protests in Serbia, EXIT Festival is facing fierce government pressure and complete withdrawal of over €1.5 million in public co-funding and government-controlled sponsorships. The festival is also encountering other serious political and security threats aimed at silencing its voice and financially draining it into shutdown.

To safeguard EXIT's independence and the values it fiercely upholds, the festival launched a global crowdfunding campaign. The goal is to ensure the immediate stability of the festival organization and protect over 100 permanent jobs. These are individuals who, despite unprecedented pressure and financial obstacles, stood united in support of the student movement, fully aware that taking a stand could lead to the shutdown of the organization. At Save.Exitfest.Org, anybody who believes that culture and art should never be controlled can donate directly to the organization or purchase future tickets and digital assets to help secure EXIT’s future.

“The recent EXIT Festival is of immeasurable importance - a historical moment when one music festival boldly stood up against fierce governmental pressure aimed at silencing our freedom of speech and suppressing our support for Serbia's brave students. We stood stronger than any attempt at state repression and demonstrated that unity, solidarity and love still triumphs over fear, and that art cannot be silenced.” said Dušan Kovačević, the founder of the EXIT Festival group. He added: “Through this crowdfunding campaign, we are standing up for the independence of an entire organization and the people behind it. We strongly believe this is a moment for the music industry to unite, protect one of its own, and demonstrate that collectively it is stronger than any government in the world. By defending independence and freedom for EXIT, we defend the freedom of all artists, music professionals, and organizations in the music industry who might face similar pressures anywhere in the world.  Because the fight for freedom for one is the fight for freedom for all.”

EXIT Festival was born from a dream of freedom 25 years ago, sparked by young people who refused to stay silent in the face of Balkan wars and political oppression. Since then, it has grown into one of the world’s largest music festivals, twice winning the Best Major Festival at the European Festival Awards (EFA) and currently holding the EFA’s prestigious Take a Stand Award, presented annually to festivals that courageously advocate for human rights, social justice, and positive change in society.

VON DUTCH LOVES SELECTS 20 FIRST-TIME DJS TO PLAY BRUNCH ELECTRONIK FESTIVAL

Von Dutch Loves is giving 20 amateur DJs the chance to perform at one of Barcelona’s most beloved music events: Brunch Electronik Festival, taking place this August.

In partnership with the Spanish festival, Von Dutch Loves will host its very own open-air stage, a 360-degree, two-tier platform positioned at the heart of the festival grounds. Over the past 5 weeks, an open call was launched to uncover emerging talent from across the region, drawing over 1200 submissions. The final 20 winners, selected for their originality and energy, were announced on July 16th and 17th with sounds ranging from Speed Garage to Hard Groove and Trance to Amapiano. The focus was on creating a diverse, inclusive, gender-balanced lineup.

“The audience is the line-up,” says the booking team, “the stage will be located at the heart of the site, giving real visibility to emerging talent thanks to our partnership with Von Dutch Loves.”

Launched earlier this year, Von Dutch Loves is the new music-led fashion label from Von Dutch that sits at the heart of the culture, capturing and curating the moment. The label debuted with a capsule collection in collaboration with global electronic artist Vintage Culture, who has been spotted wearing the exclusive pieces across Spain this summer, from Barcelona to Ibiza, before the brand headed to London for a secret rooftop party with tastemaker promoters Blanche.

Finding the perfect partner in Brunch Electronik Festival, Von Dutch Loves taps into the underground, championing new talent, and shares a commitment to building platforms for the next generation, and this is just the beginning for the brand new label.

Says Jack Cheicka, "Von Dutch Loves was created to spotlight the next generation of cultural voices, and our partnership with Brunch Electronik perfectly reflects that mission. Brunch shares our commitment to creativity, authenticity, and community. Together, we’re not just watching culture evolve; we're actively shaping it. Supporting emerging DJs and building inclusive, creative spaces is just the beginning."

ROMY JANSSEN AND STARVING YET FULL SERVE SUMMER HEARTBEAT WITH 'LOVING YOU'

Dutch DJ and producer Romy Janssen opens up her heart with her latest single, teaming up with Starving Yet Full for the moody and inspired, 'Loving You' out now via Virgin Records. Built around subtle yet driving production, the release sets the summer agenda for melodic and afro house fans alike.

Starving Yet Full, formerly known as the lead vocalist of Azari & III with over 53 million Spotify streams, makes for the perfect collaborator on this release, as his soft and emotive vocals fill the air between notes with ultimate finesse. While much of dance music builds atmosphere through volume, 'Loving You' does it through texture and restraint. Nuanced percussion doesn't only set the rhythm, but highlights the space in the soundstage, whether it's in a club, through your headphones, or a car system for a late night drive.

Hailing from the Netherlands, Romy Janssen has captivated the electronic scene since her beginnings, showcasing her skills behind the decks while delivering a unique and dynamic sound. 'Loving You' is only the next step for Romy Janssen, whose recent creative tear includes the equally atmospheric 'Malibuse', an uplifting remix of Bruno Martini's 'Beautiful', and 'Ubuntu' from just this spring. Her work behind the decks is just as revered as her work in the studio, proven by her recently shared set at this year's Outdoor Extrema. Starving Yet Full has kept the momentum equally high, flexing his musical versatility across head turning releases with Risk Agents, Aytiwan, and Nautica (UK). Poised to become a summer favourite among house fans, Romy Janssen and Starving Yet Full deliver together a refreshing and authentic melody, setting the tone for a summer to remember.Be ready to fall head over heels, ‘Loving You’ is out now via Virgin Records

Romy Janssen moves with intention, not to impress, but to connect. Her sound is defined by emotion, rhythm, and a deep desire to make people feel. Every performance is crafted as a journey, a story told through music rather than words. What sets Romy Janssen apart is not just her technical skill, but the authenticity and energy she brings to every stage. She doesn’t follow trends, she follows feelings. And that’s exactly what sets her in motion, and others in the moment. With exciting new music on the way and a growing list of international shows, she’s only just getting started.
