Following their explosive debut collaboration ‘Zoom Zoom’, Venezuelan artist Emy Perez and Dutch producer Hidde Huijsman, who goes by the name DFRNS, strike once again with ‘Maria’ – out now on BB Music Group.

Demanding attention with a thumping bassline and Emy’s powerful vocals, ‘Maria’ is an enticing production from the very first beat. Fusing Latin sounds with Flamenco elements, ‘Maria’ reflects on the history of Emy’s homeland, Venezuela, at the time of the conquistadors and slavery. Merging aboriginal sounds, with a modern twist, ‘Maria’ leaves a lasting impact on the listener and was a result of a prolific studio session between the two artists. Speaking about the track, Emy said, “Maria is my Mona Lisa. What becoming an artist is really all about. I've found out throughout the years and my music taste, that this is my heritage and what truly represents my mixed Venezuelan blood. We created this song after ‘Zoom Zoom’ and many other tunes, and it’s the song where we were finally able to capture my essence and achieve the evolution of our collaboration!” - Emy Perez.

SPACE 92 AND POPOF RELEASE INSOMNIA EP ON FORM MUSIC

Crowned the #1 selling Techno artist on Beatport for the second consecutive year in 2021, abounding French producer and undisputed man-of-the-moment, Space 92, is the name on everybody’s lips right now.

Kick-starting the EP with the uncompromising title track Insomnia, Space 92 and POPOF deliver everything we could have hoped for and more from their inaugural collaboration, as the French compatriots unleash an intense peak-time cut, brimming with pounding kicks, industrial samples and expertly manipulated refrains throughout its thunderous, six-minute duration.

Showing no signs of letting up as he takes over the reigns on solo duties, the middle order sees Space 92 combine deep, pulsating lower end, frenetic samples and a mesmerizing breakdown lead across Pluck as he explores a different, yet equally effective, timbre to the mammoth opening collab.

Last but by no means least, Space 92 offers up his second and final solo production on the player with Kerosene, building a ruthless assortment of undulating basslines and other-worldly synth riffs across the duration of the record. Canadian DJ and producer Shelley Johannson has been dedicating herself to her craft and technique for over a decade now. Standing at the forefront of the techno scene, she recently started her own record label, Turn Recordings, and hosts the monthly show ‘One-Eighty’, breaking the latest talent over the past five years. She has also taken her expertise all over North and South America across stages such as BPM Festival and Detroit’s Movement. Her masterful skill led her to make two appearances on John Digweed’s ‘Transitions’ show and to performing alongside Digweed at Bedrock showcase events.
