MOGA CAPARICA FESTIVAL DEBUTS IN PORTUGAL WITH AGORIA, DJ TENNIS, BEHROUZ, LOUIS CHEN, DJ VIBE, CC:DISCO!, EAGLES & BUTTERFLIES, BIRDS OF MIND, MATTHEW DEKAY AND MORE

The much anticipated new edition of MOGA Festival will feature world-class DJs Agoria, Behrouz, Birds Of Mind, Cc:Disco!, Daox, DJ Tennis, Gescu, Gusta-vo, Maher Daniel, Matthew Dekay, DJ Vibe, Eagles & Butterflies, Louise Chen, Mr. Id and more from the 6th to the 10th of October 2021. This year it takes place in Costa da Caparica, Portugal rather than the usual location of Essaouira, but still allows all dreamers and dancers to be reunited under another Atlantic skyline with endless wellness and music to make for an immersive experience.

Since its creation in Essaouira in 2016, the spirit of MOGA Festival has been deeply inked by nomadism, curiosity, and discoveries. As a matter of fact, Essaouira was once named Mogador by the Portuguese and as a reminder of this ancient history, Morocco and Portugal decided that the cities of Essaouira and Caparica in Almada would become sister-lands. It was obvious that this year that connection had to be explored.

Marked by old traditional villages, endless sand beaches, incredible sunsets and seagulls watching the return of the fishermen, Caparica feels like a home away from home for MOGA and so will make a very special location for this year’s 4th edition.

Over the past years, MOGA Festival has united people from all over the world and backgrounds into a community - self-proclaimed the #mogatribe. Wellness is genuinely central to the festival’s identity and so this year again the boutique event will focus on the union of body and soul, designing an à la carte experience that is a fusion of electronic music and a myriad of extra goings-on. These include three special beach parties, yoga events, surfing, biking, hiking, food, talks, free events and many more surprises to come.

The festival will take place in various locations along the waterfront including Praia Irmao, Bohemian Beach Club, Dr Bernard & Palms. Detailed program will be out soon.

MIKE TAVEIRA DROPS NEW SINGLE "SEX FOR BREAKFAST (FT. ALLIE X)"

Today, rising queer pop star Mike Taveira returns with his new single, “Sex for Breakfast (ft. Allie X),” from his forthcoming debut EP, ‘Cut Velvet.’ Due out in early 2022, ‘Cut Velvet’ is a glittering record of spacey 80s new-wave and rudimentary 70s synths balanced precariously over slap bass and funk grooves. It’s a conceptual record that chronicles Mike’s wide-eyed move to Los Angeles, the rise and fall of young love, and all the predators along the way.

"Sex For Breakfast" is the second single to be released from 'Cut Velvet,' following the lead single, "Switch," which was released earlier this summer. Featuring indie-pop superstar Allie X, “Sex for Breakfast” is a synth-fueled anthem packed with suggestive lyrical wordplay and beats that will get you moving.

“’Sex for Breakfast’ was one of those lightning-in-a-bottle songs,” Mike says of the new song. “The idea came to me after an intense morning with this guy I was head over heels for. We were essentially dating but kept pretending it was a fling. We ended up in this almost masochistic cat-and-mouse game, knowing we were so right together but both being too uncomfortable to admit it.”

Los Angeles-based Mike Taveira makes music that is wild, fun, and unabashedly queer. He showcases an infectious pop sensibility while tackling the complexities and vulnerability of sexual identity, love, gender and sex. Since making his artist debut in 2019, Mike has received praise from tastemakers like Billboard Pride, Gay Times, PRIDE, and Attitude. With an underlying message that preaches to be true to yourself, whoever you love, whatever you identity as, and whatever life throws your way, Mike is a vibrant force in the evolution of queer pop.

AURIGA DEBUTS ON IAMT WITH MAMMOTH ‘UNDERNEATH’ EP

Hot off the back of two huge debut releases on Second State and Odd Recordings over the past two months  – not to mention an incredible livestream performance from Castillo de Atienza alongside Ramiro Lopez and Lilly Palmer  – internationally celebrated Spanish techno sensation Auriga continues her hugely prolific run of Summer 2021 form as she unveils her latest huge EP, this time on the one and only I AM Techno (IAMT).

Out now via Spartaque’s burgeoning, Barcelona-based imprint, Auriga’s Underneath EP marks the Spaniard’s inaugural foray on IAMT, as she delivers an immense two-part package worthy of any label debut.

Kickstarting the EP in impressive fashion, Auriga christens the double-sided cut with the uncompromising opener Suffocating. A skittish six-minute juggernaut, primed for those early warehouse hours that we’re all craving right now, the pounding A-side sees Auriga build a relentless assortment of undulating basslines, piercing siren stabs, trippy vox drops and frenetic snares, to open the package in style.

On the flip, Auriga offers up her second and final original on the player with Underneath. A hard-hitting production and arguably the most intricate rendition on the EP, Auriga’s impressive diversity as a producer continues to shine through, as she adds to her flourishing career discography with another huge dancefloor-ready weapon.
