LUIS DEL CARMEN RELEASES PEAK-TIME 'WARLOCKS' EP OUT NOW ON NUMEN

Angelo del Carmen stands as one of the most exciting rising talents in the electronic music scene currently, pursuing multiple sound profiles in order to stretch his creativity and scope to the fullest. Having debuted his techno-leaning Luis del Carmen moniker last month with his ‘We Collide’ EP on IAMT Red, Angelo now returns to the release radar to further cement this budding alias with a brand new offering for Numen. The 2-track ‘Warlocks’ EP is out now across all streaming platforms.

‘Raver’s Delight’ kicks off the EP; a slickly curated peak-time cut that champions relentless percussion and haunting vocal injections. Its motive and personality are recognisable from the outset, with intensity growing yet further with each passing euphoric break and subsequent drop. In true del Carmen fashion, the cut presents a concise melodic identity that proves hypnotic in its effect and is sure to resonate with ravers across the globe.

‘Warlocks’ is up next and maintains the electric energy set by its predecessor. We’re immediately presented with a bellowing kick and a slow ascension of percussive layering that builds real anticipation ahead of the first drop. A contrasting vocal riff is introduced and leads the charge, alongside intricate synth-work, to ensure an emotive and memorable apex. The 2-tracker serves as another inspiring insight into del Carmen’s tenacity and love for his craft, and will no doubt aid in growing his flourishing fanbase.

ABOUT LUIS DEL CARMEN - Hailing from San Francisco but currently based in Manila, Angelo del Carmen is a burgeoning DJ and producer on the Trance and Techno circuits, who also works on cinematic sound design for films. His style of music under his Luis del Carmen sound profile can be best described as dark and cinematic; combining an innate knack for melodies with the beauty of dark tension and aggression found in techno. Angelo has enjoyed chartering previous releases through his Trance-led Parnassvs via Techburst Records, Blackhole Records and Eclipse. NANDU RELEASES THE VERGE OF SANITY EP VIA OUT OF OPTIONS

The Verge of Sanity – the remarkable new EP from hotly-tipped Danish producer, electronic live act and label head Nandu – is out now via his burgeoning young imprint, Out Of Options.

Featuring three brand new original cuts spanning some of the very finest avant-garde interpretations of minimal house, melodic techno and stripped back electronica, The Verge Of Sanity is another veritable masterclass in intelligent, cutting edge electronic music from the in-form, Copenhagen-based producer, who returns to Out of Options armed with a slew of impressive career releases on the likes of Innervisions, Afterlife, TAU, Exit Strategy, Azzur, Rebirth and MoBlack, to name just a few.

Christening the EP with the absorbing title track The Verge Of Sanity, Nandu draws on his inexorable experience and unbridled creativity as a producer to deliver a strikingly nuanced underground house cut, replete with complex analogue textures, multifaceted rhythms and a chugging groove that bolsters the opener across its six-minute duration. Penetrating the imagination with his mind-altering tones and exemplary use of juxtaposition and surprise, this is Nandu at his very best.

Perpetually striving to deliver an unmatched sensory experience for the listener – both in his productions and his unique live performances – Nandu revels in the blurring of boundaries between genres, reimagining his close affinity for jazz, pop and rock within a uniquely electronic paradigm. The middle order of the EP is further testament to this, as the Dane unravels a rich tapestry of complex underground soundscapes, restrained beats and rough sonic patterns on the second offering No One Knows.

Drawing the EP to an immaculate conclusion with a dreamy, remedial finale, Nandu demonstrates his productions credentials aren’t exclusive to the dancefloor, as he embarks upon an almost therapeutic journey through consciousness to bring us Silence. Collaborating with Danish-Haitian artist Emily Simbi (who featured on Nandu’s inaugural EP on Out Of Options back in March), the pair amalgamate organic melodies and lethargic beats with gentle timbres and Emily’s subtle vocal refrains to wrap another remarkable release on Out Of Options, and one of the most captivating releases on the label to date.

The Verge of Sanity marks the third full-length EP on Out Of Options, following the critically acclaimed release of Nandu’s Lemon Haze EP in March 2021 and his sophomore follow up Simple Reflections EP in May.
