Martin Jensen wastes no time in building the momentum that has been flowing off the back of recent releases as he works alongside esteemed singer/songwriter Amber Van Day and production talents N.F.I for his latest offering, ‘Can’t Come To The Phone’.
‘Can’t Come To The Phone’ emanates with a playful nature, the perfect track to signal summer fun and for times when you are too busy making memories to deal with life’s serious side.
The track starts with deep chords and filtered tones lying underneath a processed vocal. The chords open with the introduction of the first verse, all building towards the chorus and heavily anticipated drop. The beat is driving, as the bassline swings with a groove that makes it equally primed for dancing as the vocals are for singing. ‘Can’t Come to the Phone’ evolves for its duration, as new elements are introduced to keep it fresh throughout.

Jensenkicked off the year with his single ‘2019’ with Georgia Ku and followed up by linking up with a triumvirate of in-demand producers Rompasso, FAULHABER and JONASU for ‘Make My Mind Go’. These continue in the same vein as recent times, with last year’s singles such as his collaboration with Imbanek on ‘I’m Just Feelin’’, and ‘Don’t Cry For Me’ with Jason Derulo and Alok, lighting the fire for what has been a stellar 18 months for the Danish artist.

“The idea for ‘Eyes’ came from a dream, and just translated into the studio. The track also sounds a bit like a lost demo tape from the 80s. We always wanted to work with a saxophone sound and this just felt like the right moment for it. We tossed all of the ideas together and it had a special energy from the very first moment on.”
– MNI
MNI started as a secret project, focused on delivering Berlin dance infused music with a touch of pop nostalgia. The debut single ‘Eyes’ follows their remix of Moodshift’s earlier release ‘Touch’. The remix reimagines the original mix with a bass house rhythm and lighter sonic space. MNI is primed to take listeners through different worlds of dance music and pave its way as a group to watch.
Jordan Shaw began his love for music at a young age and recently graduated from The Institute of Contemporary Music Performance with a first class honours degree in songwriting. He has worked with the likes of Grey Jeremih, Afrojack, The Chainsmokers, Petit Biscuit, and more. ‘Eyes’ follows the young talent’s May feature with Lost Kings ‘I Miss The Future.’
As MNI continues to launch their creative vision, they’re sure to pave their way as a name to know in the electronic dance scene. ‘Eyes’ is just the beginning of what the group has in store.
MOODSHIFT RELEASE NEW THUMPING ENDEAVOR, ‘DANG’ NOW AVAILABLE TO STREAM ACROSS PLATFORMS VIA UNIVERSAL MUSIC
Established Stockholm-based triumvirate Moodshift return to the release radar with ‘Dang’ yet another highly-anticipated release from the innovative powerhouse trio. Their latest sonic offering marks their fourth original production of 2021, directly following previously-released hit singles such as February’s ‘Touch’, April’s ‘Heartless’, and May’s ‘Hit It’. Out now on Universal Music, ‘Dang’ is available to listen to across all streaming platforms.
The catchy tune immediately begins with a rhythmically pulsating ambiance, setting the tone for the rest of the atmospheric original production to follow. A low-pitched vocal cut is quickly introduced and is paired flawlessly with the driving beat and wholly infectious melody.
‘We started out with this melody and didn’t really care much about it. But when we went to have lunch the melody was stuck in our heads. We loved the idea of making something super catchy, fun, and silly in a way. We discussed coming up with a quirky different way of saying something’s stuck in someone’s head. Like this melody was stuck in ours. "LIKE DANG"!
We had this song lying around for months and it wasn’t until friends and family told us that it was super strong we realized what it really was. Sometimes you need that push from other people!’ - Moodshift
High-octane sensibilities are audibly featured throughout the infectious, lively tune, propelling the listener and taking them on a thrilling journey of sound with each passing second. Hefty, forcible bass drops, commanding production elements, and an overall hard-hitting flair characterize the rest of the feel-good, four-on-the-floor release.
Moodshift has captivated and enthralled listeners for well over a year now, bursting onto the scene in early 2020 with prominent hits like ‘Chemistry’ and ‘What About My Love’. Hailing from Stockholm, Sweden, the group consists of renowned pop-EDM DJ/producer Lucas Nord, esteemed vocalist/musician flyckt, and remix extraordinaire Oliver Nelson. What started off as weekly sessions crafting their acclaimed Moodshift Monday Mix series, the three quickly began to gain traction with their eventual original productions, in turn collectively making a name for themselves in the dance music landscape as Moodshift.
Their previously-released single ‘Hit It’ has already impressively garnered over 700k combined streams across platforms in a few months since its release, setting an exciting glimpse into what to expect from their new certified summer hit ‘Dang’.
