SKY ADAMS CONFIRMS WORK ON OLLY MURS’ UPCOMING EIGHTH STUDIO ALBUM

The platinum-selling producer behind Kylie Minogue, HRVY and Doja Cat joins forces with the UK pop star on new music for 2025 release

Acclaimed songwriter, composer and record producer Sky Adams has teamed up with British pop star Olly Murs for his highly anticipated eighth studio album, set for release later this year through major label BMG.

The first taste of the project arrived in July with the release of “Save Me,” a ska-infused, brass-driven anthem co-written by Adams, which reached #6 in the UK Airplay charts. The single has already sparked excitement among fans for its playful storytelling and infectious hooks, harking back to the cheeky charm of Murs’ early hits while introducing a modern, high-energy twist.

The track also brings together two acclaimed UK songwriters: Edward Drewett, best known for penning hits for One Direction, Little Mix, Jonas Blue, The Wanted and SG Lewis; and James New, a London-based songwriter and producer whose credits include Mumm-Ra, Saint Raymond, Pixx, Mullally, Mo Jamil and Lauren Aquilina.

Adams – best known for his work with Kylie Minogue on her No.1 albums Golden (2018), Disco (2020), and Tension (2023), as well as his global success with Doja Cat’s multi-platinum smash “Boss Bitch” amongst othersbrings his signature versatility and hit-making instincts to the project. His catalogue boasts multiple Gold and Platinum certifications, Billboard chart-topping singles and more than 4 billion streams worldwide, establishing him as one of the most innovative and sought-after producers of his generation.

Speaking on the collaboration, Sky Adams said:

“Working with Olly has been such a joy. He’s an artist who knows exactly who he is but is still hungry to explore new sounds. With Save Me, we wanted to capture that classic Olly energy while giving it a fresh twist, and I’m so excited for people to hear where the rest of the album takes us.”

To date, Olly Murs has had five number one albums in the UK, a feat achieved with his seventh album, Marry Me, which topped the Official UK Albums Chart in December 2022. The forthcoming album marks his eagerly anticipated return and promises to deliver his trademark pop storytelling with a fresh edge, thanks in part to Adams’ bold production and co-writing contributions. With Save Me already setting the stage for the new album’s release later this year, Sky Adams continues to prove himself as a driving force in shaping the sound of contemporary pop.

From chart-topping albums to billion-stream global hits, African-German songwriter, composer and music producer Sky Adams has established himself as one of the most innovative and versatile producers of his generation. Currently based in London and Miami, and with over 4 billion global streams of his music, he is celebrated for his genre-blending style and instinct for reinvention; seamlessly bridging pop, dance, electronic and R&B. Since breaking into the industry in 2017, Sky has collaborated with some of the world’s most iconic artists – from Kylie Minogue, Doja Cat, Will.i.am and Sigala, to Travis Barker, HRVY and Zak Abel – crafting records that balance commercial success with bold, forward-thinking artistry.
