JOANNA COELHO'S NEW PROJECTS: 2 TRACKS AND AN EP FROM PSYTRANCE TO RAWSTYLE.

The Brazilian artist continues to break boundaries and create music of all colors.
Labels like TMinus or Sonaxx as well as a track with two versions for her own label, Raverse Records.

Joanna Coelho is one of the most interesting figures of the international hard techno scene. A cyclone in the booth and a multifaceted artist who mixes three tracks, dances and even contributes her own vocals. That's why her sets are such an experience. This has made her travel the world playing in places like Spain, Colombia, Austria, Germany, Argentina, France or Czech Republic. In addition to gaining the support of artists such as 999999999, Shlomo, Dax J or even Amelie Lens.

Talking about her productions, November will be a very prolific month for her. Starting on the 1st with 'Macete' a track that has two variants, both the ¨bouncy version¨ and the ¨hard version¨. It stands out for the speed of concatenation of its kicks. The first ones of groovy style and the second industrial ones that accompany the same vocals and melody. It is a track full of dynamism that represents very well the essence of Joanna and that we already have available in Raverse Records, her own label.
We continue with 'Make you Move' an EP that was released on November 8th on the English label TMinus Records. Composed of three tracks, it unites several genres but has a constant which is the rhythm. In the first track 'Another One' there we can listen to hardgroove with hard techno kicks. A linear but dynamic sound that envelops the listener and launches him perfectly towards the next two tracks.

'Make You Move' is a darker but equally dynamic track. It combines the vocals that launch the message ¨I wanna make you move” with hard techno kicks of all kinds, highlighting an industrial kick that is maintained during almost all the theme and guides it. On the other hand, we have synths and acids that create drops which break using this same variety of sounds. A trip at full speed guided by a message that forces you not to stop dancing.

The EP culminates with 'Warrior', perhaps the most complete track of all as it mixes the industrial hard techno with a psy base, a melody and a female vocal that puts calm to the madness without losing intensity. A track where Joanna demonstrates her ability as a producer going out of her comfort zone to get a great result, and where the creation of the drops announces that it will break into something destructive, but they do it with an angelic voice. This surprises and gives it a mysticism very appreciable.

Speaking of angelic voices (or rather demonic) let's go with the latest release, 'Bad Bitch' a collaboration with Paul Clark under the German label Sonaxx to be released on November 29th. A track that combines a very high level of production at the level of hard techno. Rises and falls of intensity and a tempo that grabs you and only releases you when it breaks into big drops with the icing on the cake, Joanna's own voice.

A voice that fits perfectly with the classic intensity of a hard techno track and enhances it even more and that will be a bomb when it plays live. Although she already did it in sets of legends of the genre like Rebekah.

And this is just the beginning because Joanna Coelho has been in the studio for a long time and is going to finish the year in a big way in terms of productions. In addition, a new European tour will soon be unveiled where we will see all these tracks and many more that combined with the style and energy of the artist, will shake all the booths and dance floors she steps on.

SEVEN LIONS AND KOMPANY TEAM UP FOR DEBUT COLLAB “FOUL TARNISHED’

OUT NOW ON SEVEN LIONS’ OPHELIA RECORDS

Seven Lions and Kompany team up for their highly-anticipated debut collab “Foul Tarnished”. Blending the best of their respective worlds, the two artists serve up monstrous drops of heart-pounding bass house with half-time dubstep switch ups.

Washington-based producer Seven Lions has never had an issue pushing the boundaries of electronic music to fulfill his creative vision. Catching a break after winning a Beatport remix contest in 2012 with his dubstep-focused version of Above & Beyond’s “You Got To Go”, Seven Lions, born Jeff Montalvo, garnered support from the likes of Anjunabeats, Casablanca, OWSLA, Viper Recordings, Republic Records, and Monstercat over the past ten years. After releasing on a plethora of labels, Seven Lions created Ophelia Records in 2018 which has since become a leading independent label in the melodic bass subgenre. Since its emergence only four years ago, the label has already made an imprint in the dance music scene having been voted Dancing Astronaut’s Label Of The Year in 2021, releasing multiple #1 iTunes Dance albums and hosting festival stage takeovers and showcases around the country. His productions have seen stages at world-renowned festivals including Ultra Music Festival, Electric Daisy Carnival, Electric Zoo, and HARD.

In a scene divided between rail riders waiting for the heaviest drop and stage hoppers seeking out the most technical sounds, Los Angeles bass DJ/producer Kyle Hagberg (aka Kompany) rises above with one foot firmly planted on each side. A former sound designer for Cymatics, Hagberg delivers meticulously crafted basses packaged as festival music, creating a distinct dubstep style many have tried to emulate over the years.

Kompany has collaborated with bass music giants such as Excision, SLANDER, Subtronics and Sullivan King, and was once name dropped by ILLENIUM as one of his favorite heavy artists. Some of Kompany’s most recognized tracks are his anthemic collaborations with fellow briddim godfather Wooli, notably 2018’s “Thicc Boi.”

His 2021 Untouchable Tour marked Kompany’s first run of headline shows, with him performing at over 30 clubs and festivals across the United States and Canada, including a coveted main stage slot at Lost Lands. In 2022 he did a worldwide festival run and joined a handful of higher ticket tour packages to warm up to headline bigger rooms in 2023.

As the official record label of melodic dubstep leader Seven Lions, Ophelia Records is a label that promotes independent dance music across a wide range of genres. In just five years, Ophelia has become one of the hottest labels in electronic music thanks to its tight-knit community and ability to connect fans of melodic bass, dubstep, trance, psytrance, drum & bass, house and beyond. With over 200 catalog releases from acts such as SLANDER, Excision, Kill The Noise, MitiS, Jason Ross, NGHTMRE, Wooli, Trivecta, Blastoyz, Crystal Skies and Last Heroes, Ophelia has multiple #1 iTunes dance records and has been supported on the covers of mint and danceXL with additional playlisting on New Music Friday, Dance Rising, Bass Arcade and SiriusXM BPM. The label has also sold out showcases at Echostage, Avant Gardner and Red Rocks, as well as hosted festival stage takeovers at Electric Zoo, Miami Music Week, Nocturnal Wonderland and more.

SPACE 92 REMIXES NICOLE MOUDABER’S ‘REASONS TO LOVE YOU’

OUT NOW ON FACTORY 93 RECORDS

French techno prodigy Space 92 steps up to the remix duties to deliver a hard-hitting, high-energy treatment of Nicole Moudaber’s ‘Reasons To Love You’ – out now via Factory93 Records

Powerhouse producer Space 92 takes a high-octane approach to Moudaber’s emotionally-charged melodic masterwork, amplifying the track’s already powerful beats with his signature distorted sounds, escalating builds, and a frenetic energy for a driving peak-time dancefloor livener.

“I couldn’t wait to hear what Space 92 was going to do with this one and it does not disappoint! He’s really cranked it up a gear with these distorted sounds, filthy bass and euphoric touches, it makes you want to get down and dirty on the dancefloor. Thank you Mathieu!” Nicole Moudaber

2024 has been a mammoth year for Moudaber as the British/Nigerian techno icon celebrates a decade of her InTheMood empire which now includes a successful record label, award-winning weekly radio show, monthly Apple Music series, and her internationally acclaimed party brand. Continuing the anniversary festivities, Moudaber has two major InTheMood events lined up before the year is out.
