AYAN RETURNS TO ELIF’S RISING MARGINALIA LABEL WITH HIS BROWNIAN MOTION EP INCLUDING A REMIX FROM EDONE!

Emerging talent Ayan steps up to Elif's ever more influential Marginalia label with the superb ‘Brownian Motion’ EP  which comes with a remix from EdOne. The new release follows Ayan’s single ‘Chimes’ on Marginalia’s first compilation earlier this year and he also looks forward to featuring on the second VA release in 2025.

Ayan is a new school star with credits already on the likes of Kinetic and Blindfold. He is known for exploring new artistic relays and serving up sonic stories that are emotional and innovative. He has had support from big names like Aera, Elif, Skala, Yubik and Baime and is inspired by everything from funk, rock, bass and soul. 

‘Brownian Motion’ is brilliantly warm and heavy with a textured bassline driving it along under warped synth sounds that grind throughout the mix. It's an electrifying cut that will flip the dance floor inside out. The fantastic ‘Restrained Circuits’ is an atmospheric, stripped back and percussive cut with wiry electronics and tense chords that keep you in suspense. Glassy textures and glitchy machine sounds give it a sense of unique futurism that really stands out.

Also on board is remixer EdOne, EdOne is a Spanish talent who has released on all of the scene's most recognised labels from Innervisions to Suara, Mood to Still vor Talent and Multinotes as well as his own label Surrealism. He has been leading from the front for the last decade plus and always brings great craft to his works while also DJing around Europe, including a performance at Marginalia’s first label showcase.

EdOne's tracks have charted in the Top 10 on Beatport around 15 times, and he frequently receives support from big names such as Dixon, Ame, Adriatique, Maceo Plex, John Digweed, Oliver Koletzki, Nicole Moudaber, and others. His remix of ‘Brownian Motion’ is a punchy and melodic groove with beautiful pads rising up through the mix as the chattery percussion keeps the grove moving.

The Orlando-based producer pulls no punches with his latest high-energy dubstep anthem.

OviLoad is making his debut on Insomniac’s Discovery Project imprint on September 27th with his newest single, “DON’T WORRY.”

“DON’T WORRY” is a heavy dubstep cut that unleashes an armada of slamming synth leads, tonal shifts, warbling laser accents, and distorted, bit-crushed glitches. The track’s relentless energy is balanced by a slow-burn, atmospheric intro and sporadic interludes with clever shifts in intensity, keeping listeners on their toes throughout. The track was handpicked by guest judge Wooli as the winner of Discovery Project’s DJ/producer competition hosted at this year’s Forbidden Kingdom. As the winning entry, it earned him a slot on this year's festival lineup and the release on the label.

Beyond the track’s punchy, no-nonsense dynamic lies a more uplifting message. Reflecting on the inspiration behind his track, OviLoad shares, “When things are getting a bit too hard to handle, ‘Don’t Worry;’ easier times are coming soon.”

Based out of Orlando, OviLoad is an up-and-coming producer who has been churning out hard-hitting dubstep tracks, particularly within the trench and tearout subgenres. His sound, marked by complex basslines and vigorous rhythms, has already caught the attention of some of the biggest names in the scene, including Jessica Audiffred, DJ Diesel, Excision, and Subtronics.

BÈRF AND GPU TEAM UP FOR ‘RITMO ACIDO’

Berlin-based genre alchemist BÈRF has joined forces once again with AI-powered project GPU – helmed by Luigi Borelli – for unifying new single ‘Ritmo Acido’ – out now via Berlin AI art platform Made By Robots. 

Speaking about the collaboration BÈRF explained, “As a music producer and language enthusiast, I speak many languages and enjoy combining different linguistic elements in my compositions in a surreal way (since I love surreal art). My passion for acid sounds, with their hypnotic and psychedelic tones, is a central part of my musical identity. These preferences and interests inspired me to create the track "Ritmo Acido" together with GPU. 

By blending four languages that sound similar (French, Spanish, Portuguese, and Italian), we create a surreal soundscape that resembles a single language. ‘Ritmo Acido’ emerged from our shared deep desire to unite the diversity of languages and the universal nature of music. The track is an experiment and a homage to the power of communication beyond words. By mixing four different languages, we aimed to show that despite linguistic differences, there exists a common language: that of music and body movement.

This is not the first time I have collaborated with GPU. Our previous track, ‘Drop Out,’ was an exciting mix of several genres, featuring a cool deep house minimal beat and a surprising electric guitar solo played by GPU. With ‘Ritmo Acido’ we continue our surreal journey together, creating another fascinating collaboration full of magic.” 

Released on September 20th, as a special gift to celebrate BÈRF’s birthday: ‘Ritmo Acido’ is a new song that transcends the boundaries of language and music, allowing all listeners to immerse themselves in a shared musical world. Because we all speak the same language: Body Language.
