GEORGIE RIOT AND AIRGLO DROP NEURO-TINGED JUMP UP DRUM & BASS BANGER "GET DOWN" ON BASSRUSH RECORDS

The two buzzing drum & bass talents collide on their heavy, heartracing jump up collab.

Georgie Riot is a UK-bred producer that has been experiencing exponential growth throughout the last few years. She’s locking horns with an equally explosive name from across the pond, as she teams up with LA-based drum & bass virtuoso AIRGLO on their new single. Issued by Bassrush Records“Get Down” is a neuro-tinged collab shaped by the hands of two of the most exciting artists coming up from the scene at the moment.

Doing exactly what it says on the tin, “Get Down” is a party-starting track in its truest form. The jump-up cut packs one nasty punch, as it creeps into the frame with fluttering sub-bass and cascading arps that fan the flames behind the track’s titular vocal loop. Its chopped hook smacks in all the right places, sprinkled sporadically across growling Reese bass, a web of intricate percussive programming, crunchy low-end and chirpy synth leads. All in all, the dark, heavy tune leaves little to no room for nothing other than flailing limbs and grimacing expressions.

Georgie Riot expresses her excitement about the release, saying, “My fans have been waiting for another jump-up track from me for the best part of a year now, so I thought it was finally time to give them what they wanted!"

Touching on the chemistry they shared, AIRGLO states,This track is definitely one of my favorite collabs up to date.”

Ripping the dancefloor a new one since launching the project in 2021, Georgie Riot has caused nothing short of a ruckus within the drum & bass realm. Earning heavy rotation on BBC Radio 1, her original tracks have drummed up as much excitement as her rapid-firing mixing. She is currently hosting a run of dates including stops at Tomorrowland, Rampage Festival, Shambhala, and her very own North American Tour

An absolute beast when it comes to technical ability, LA.-based producer AIRGLO has been quickly rising up the ranks of the drum & bass scene Stateside. He’s no stranger to Bassrush Records, recently coming off his four-track ‘LIGHTS OUT’ EP earlier this year, drawing heavy support from Sub Focus, Dimension, Tantrum Desire, and Mollie Collins at KISS FM. He’s also enjoying a solid run of gigs of his own, paving his way through high-profile shows at Tomorrowland, Pulsation Open Air, XoYO London, and support for Bou at Academy (LA)

With “Get Down,” Georgie Riot and AIRGLO are slated to make some serious dancefloor magic happen as their jump up collab starts making the rounds throughout the summer season.

NOTION ANNOUNCES ‘FORWARDS’ MIXTAPE WITH NEW SINGLE ‘FEEL LIKE ME’

The mixtape will drop on 30th August, as NOTION continues to delve into his personal journey as an artist.

In the midst of a packed summer schedule of shows and festivals including his Glastonbury debut last month, established UK dance music DJ-producer NOTION shares the news of his forthcoming mixtape ‘FORWARDS’ with the last single from the project, ‘FEEL LIKE ME’.

About to embark on his second US and CA tour of this year along with releasing a variety of dancefloor cuts set to feature on the mixtape, ‘FORWARDS’ will drop on 30th August and will demonstrate NOTION moving 'forwards' with a fresh and evolved sound that was originally rooted in bass and bassline cuts to a matured and versatile sound of garage, house, breaks, jungle and electronica. Expanding on the success of ‘OUTSIDER’ back in 2022 that introduced a new and evolved NOTION, ‘FORWARDS’ continues to push this fresh direction forward, marking a more personal project to the DJ-producer:

“I wanted ‘FEEL LIKE ME’ to be a club tune that's not for the club if that makes sense - it was kind of an attempt to tie up all my different dance music influences into something a bit more personal to me while still keeping those foundations. I'm super happy to finally be putting it out into the world anyway and I hope you like it!”

The Bristol born and bred producer has teased towards this renewed sound with singles across the past few months including ‘TEMPORARY FRIENDS’ with Charlotte Plank, ‘BACKBONE’ which saw NOTION experiment with jungle as well as ‘TV DREAMS’, ‘GRAVITY’ and ‘THINK ABOUT U’ that have all pulled elements across house, breaks and garage and have received support and praise so far from Sammy Virji, Conducta, salute, Disclosure, Ewan McVicar and more. ‘FEEL LIKE ME’ rounds up the slew of singles, combining vocal distortion with dreamy synths that soon ramp up into bass fuelled breakdowns sure to pack a punch on all corners of the dancefloor.

Constantly shaping his sound, NOTION has continued to rack up millions of streams to his name. His viral hit ‘Found Love’ reached Silver Certification amassing over 43M streams whilst his first single this year, ‘Was It Enough’ with Eljé, has achieved over 200K plays and support from Jaguar, Charlie Tee, Jeremiah Asiamah and BBC Introducing across BBC Radio 1 and 1Xtra plus more.

Having road tested his new music on his debut US and CA tour earlier this year, NOTION’s in demand sound will see him return for another exciting run of shows this summer including HARD Summer in Los Angeles, Elsewhere in New York and Chasing Summer Festival in Calgary, Canada.

Back on home turf, NOTION’s show schedule continues to grow having played on home turf at  Love Saves The Day in Bristol, Glastonbury on the NoWhere stage b2b with Oppidan, The Cause plus many more to come including Leeds Festival, New World and Boundary Brighton.

Meanwhile, his own Dance Dubs project consists of exclusive unreleased tracks across Soundcloud and Bandcamp primed for the dance floor, an eight date sold out UK tour and boat party, with a radio show in the pipeline. His Skepta dub on Soundcloud is causing a stir amongst fans and DJs with over 500K plays, and has allowed NOTION to build a loyal fanbase with over 2K fans signing up to his broadcast community. With a successful AU/NZ tour at the end of last year at  Beyond the Valley with over 10K people in attendance at his set, Wildlands, Field Day, and Hidden Lakes, NOTION will return once more, taking his Dance Dubs tour to the other side of the world in September.

Nailing multiple genres effortlessly as he gears up for ‘FORWARDS’, his biggest release to date, NOTION is on track for his most successful year yet.
