BIANCA OBLIVION LINKS UP WITH UK EMCEE REDDERS ON OPULENT GLOBAL CLUB SINGLE "LAVISH" ON HARD RECS

The Los Angeles global bass maven links up with the UK emcee for a club-ready anthem on HARD Recs

Born and raised in Los Angeles, Bianca Oblivion is a beacon for groundbreaking club music. Joining forces with the highly respected UK emcee Redders, the pair make their debut on HARD Recs with the explosive bass anthem “Lavish.”

Indulging in the finer shades of what life has to offer, “Lavish” is a frenetic party-starter primed to set the club ablaze. Built around piercing synths, pounding drum lines, and thunderous percussion, the production is nothing short of colossal. Redders rides the booming beat with the smooth bravado, in a way that only a seasoned veteran could. The lyrics move from razor-sharp to addictive, making “Lavish” an instant anthem. Sinister laughter and sultry moans deepen the heart-racing excitement while the intense heaving breath work somehow amps up the intensity even further. Brain-bending yet dancing, futuristic yet instantly familiar, the track pushes the boundaries of club music in a manner that’s achieved solely by two artists of this caliber. From warehouse raves to festival stages, expect “Lavish” to dominate the bass scene all year long.

Explaining how the collaboration came together, Bianca Oblivion shares: “I constructed the song with space for a vocalist, but I needed someone who could spark the right kind of conversation with the beat, someone who was willing to challenge themselves and push their own boundaries—and I found that in Redders. I’ve always admired his work with Sam Binga, and with his help, we linked up in his studio in Bristol and it all came together.”

Los Angeles native Bianca Oblivion has been taking cues from grime, reggaeton, hip-hop, dubstep, hardcore, and pop music and fusing them into a bass-heavy, club-friendly sound. Her unique genre-fluid stance has landed her on Mixmag’s ‘Breakthrough DJs of the Year’ in 2023, and in Beatport's Next’s ‘Class of 2024.’ She is the founder of LA-based party collective Warp Mode (alongside Star Eyes and AK Sports), which has become a platform for femme/non-binary, queer, and POC artists. She is hot off her debut appearance at EDC Las Vegas and has upcoming shows at HARD Summer Music Festival, Outlook Festival, Bass Coast, All Points East, and ADE. She has also garnered radio support from across BBC Radio 1, 1Xtra and 6 Music with spins from Sarah Story, Tom Ravenscroft, Martha, DJ Target and Jamz Supernova. With all things considered, Bianca Oblivion is the real deal.

A Bristol legend, Redders is a staple in the UK underground as a deeply respected MC and lyrical madman. His iconic style has moved from garage to drum & bass, and reggae. His impressive discography boasts collaborations alongside legends like Sam Binga, Foreign Concept, DJ Hybrid, and Hyroglifics

MANTI DEBUTS ON AUTOMATIK WITH ‘MY WAY’ EP

A burgeoning force within Los Angeles’s vibrant house and techno scene, Iranian producer, DJ and NXT founder MANTi is quickly garnering a reputation as one of the most industrious new artists to emerge out of North America over the past few years. Presenting a sound palette that’s as raw and dynamic as it is refined, the Tehran-born talent now lands on Henri’s esteemed Automatik imprint with her latest EP, ‘My Way’.

Making her eagerly anticipated debut on the London record label armed with a string of successful releases on the likes of Marginalia, Akumandra, Zamna, Einmusika, Sequence Music, LSF21+ and Borders of Light, amongst others, MANTi’s new three-track offering on Automatik represents the latest career milestone for the LA-based artist, as she delivers a diverse masterclass in intelligent, avant-garde dance music that captivates from the outset.

Christening the EP is the impressive title track, ‘My Way’. A slow burning slice of intricately textured melodic techno, MANTi’s expert treatment of digital instrumentation, warped vocal samples and chugging drums across the opener delivers in spades, as she sets the tone for the rest of the package. A mind-bending cut that harnesses driving kicks and an intoxicating web of industrial synthesizers, this is MANTi at her very best.

Next up is the formidable ‘Cyber Code’. Pairing trippy sound design with a highly infectious central motif, the intense middle order sees MANTi dart between undulating and piercing tones to unleash a deft mosaic of juxtaposed elements; a unique production style that has quickly become her celebrated hallmark.

Last, but by no means least, we’re treated to a groove-inducing finale in the form of ‘Get Lost’. Presenting another masterful array of punchy drums and complementary synth components that weave effortlessly in between one another, the third and final cut takes listeners on a euphoric peak-time journey as MANTi continues to push her own creative boundaries to close out a remarkable debut on Automatik.

Speaking about the release, MANTi commented:

“Henri's Automatik label has been on my radar for a while now, and I am really impressed by its rapid growth over the past year. It's an absolute pleasure to be part of Automatik with this release. Each track on the EP is distinct, showcasing a diverse and avant-garde sound. I always aimed to push myself creatively with each release, and Henri's label was the perfect home for these three tracks”.

Originally hailing from Tehran, MANTi is a boundary-pushing DJ and producer who has crafted her own unique sound through an immersive education in Music Production & Sound Design at Point Blank Los Angeles. Her sonic palette is characterized by deep, melodic and atmospheric compositions, featuring resonant basslines and vibrant synths. Throughout her career, MANTi has released on some of the scene’s most respected labels (Automatik, LSF21+, Marginalia, Zamna, Natura Viva, Einmusika and others), and has shared the decks with titans of the industry, rubbing shoulders with the likes of Cirez D, Adriatique, Mathame, Kevin de Vries, Woo York, and many more.

MARTIN GARRIX AND CAROLINA LIAR RELEASE SUMMER ANTHEM "SMILE"

Martin Garrix’s contender for Song of the Summer is here! His brand new indie meets pop/dance single ‘’Smile’’ features the vocals of Carolina Liar, who is also known for being a part of The Federal Empire.

The song made its grand debut during Garrix's four sold-out shows at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco, where Carolina Liar joined him on stage for three unforgettable live performances.

Carolina Liar shares more about the creation process of the song: “Smile” is the only way I can describe my emotions when I think about the creation of this song. I got my band name, Carolina Liar because no one would believe where my life takes me, and this is one of those moments. Within 72 hours, we recorded the song at a legendary Sunset Strip recording studio and embarked on a road trip from Hollywood to Vegas while shooting the music video with a temperamental vintage car that died, leaving the film crew stranded in the desert. Somehow, they made it in time to capture the Friday night live show. We danced through two of Martin’s shows and finished the adventure with Martin sitting in with Zedd at Omnia. Honestly, we could have made a movie out of all the adventures in those three days. I can’t listen to the song without smiling from the memories surrounding its creation!’’

With its uplifting melodies and feel-good lyrics, "Smile" is the perfect soundtrack for summer. The song's message, centered around doing "anything to make you smile," offers plenty of room for personal interpretation.

This release marks another successful collaboration between Garrix and Carolina Liar, who previously teamed up on "Hold On & Believe." The official music video features both artists in a story arch that has them hitchhiking to make it to their Las Vegas performance on time.
