PIONEER OF A STYLE BETWEEN HARD TECHNO AND RAP: LESSSS UNVEILS HER NEW EP “ETHOS”

LESSSS unveils 'Ethos', her boldest and most intimate project to date: an EP that fearlessly dissolves the boundaries between hard techno and rap. Conceived as a full-scale collaboration with rapper ZZERO, the record merges raw sonic intensity with incendiary lyrics, forging a hybrid sound that feels both groundbreaking and deeply charged with emotion.

For LESSSS, 'Ethos' is more than an electronic release, it’s an artistic manifesto. The title embodies an ethic, a way of being. Through the relentless energy of hard techno and the communal spirit of rave culture, she channels rage into joy, and everyday struggles into moments of collective release. As she describes it, the EP is her way of preserving balance: embracing the chaos of the week, then exorcising it together on the dancefloor.

The project features heavyweight collaborations. ZZERO, the French rapper-singer from punk-rap outfit TRAIN FANTÔME, is a commanding presence across the record. On 'MAXIMUM', Belgian producer Todiefor—known for recent work with Vladimir Cauchemar and Vald—injects a pop-driven touch. Meanwhile, respected rap producer Idée Noire, who has worked with Mandyspice, H Jeune Crack, and BlodySanji, connects LESSSS’s universe with the grit of contemporary rap on 'SAVAGE (MODE)'. Together, they craft a meeting point that feels at once natural and innovative.

The EP is introduced by the single 'INNER ESCAPE', accompanied by a cinematic music video that premiered on YouTube on September 9, followed by the full release on September 12.

To bring fans deeper into the 'Ethos' universe, LESSSS launched a hotline, a pop-up store on release day, and a full line of merchandise inspired by the EP’s aesthetic. The project thus extends beyond music, shaping itself into a genuine cultural moment.

This fall, LESSSS will embark on an expansive tour across the French-speaking world—stopping in Angers, Nantes’ Zénith, Antwerp, Brest, and Montpellier—culminating in a spectacular finale at Welcome Back Devil XXL in Villepinte, before 15,000 ravers. The adventure then stretches worldwide with key dates in Mexico City, Berlin, Belgrade, Montreal, and Tisno (Croatia) for Terminal V festival.

With 'Ethos', LESSSS opens a new chapter. This is not just the release of an EP, it’s the forging of a movement. A collision of hard techno and rap, where rage becomes communion, and rave energy transforms into a tool of resilience and collective joy.

LESSSS - ETHOS sera disponible le 10 Octobre 2024.

WHETHAN DELIVERS BASS-HEAVY TAKE ON F.L.Y’S HIP-HOP CLASSIC “SWAG SURFIN’

FOLLOWING VIRAL SOUNDCLOUD FLIPS, PACKED UNDERGROUND POP-UPS, & SURPRISE FESTIVAL SETS,

THE CHICAGO-BORN PRODUCER CONTINUES HIS BOLD NEW ERA WITH A REMINAGINING OF THE 2009 ANTHEM

Today, electronic powerhouse Whethan continues his creative resurgence with the release of a bass-heavy reimagining of F.L.Y’s “Swag Surfin’.” Long celebrated as a unifying anthem across clubs, campuses, and sports arenas, the 2009 classic finds new life in Whethan’s hands as he transforms its iconic sway into a bold, modern reinvention built for a new generation of dance culture.

The release arrives on the heels of a wave of momentum. This summer, Whethan drew massive crowds with surprise sets at Electric Forest and Lightning in a Bottle, and packed out underground pop-ups in Atlanta and Los Angeles — the latter reaching capacity in under 30 minutes. Known for collaborations with Dua Lipa, Charli XCX, and Oliver Tree, and production credits for Megan Thee Stallion, Joji, and The Chainsmokers, the Chicago-born producer is reconnecting with the sound that first made him a phenomenon: heavy, unpredictable, bass-forward energy.

That rebirth has been fueled by a string of viral SoundCloud flips resonating across the dance community. Fans went wild when he dropped “XE3 (Whethan Turn),” his reimagining of Mssingno’s cult classic, while his gritty ‘Warehouse.Wavs’ EP has kept the momentum surging with explosive reworks of Playboy Carti and Latto’s “Blick Sum”, Doechii’s “Nissan Altima”, and 50 Cent’s “In Da Club.” His take on “Swag Surfin’” is the latest in this series — and perhaps the most anthemic yet.

Whethan’s rework channels the anthemic spirit of the 2009 hip-hop classic while pushing it into new sonic territory. Layers of distorted low-end and dynamic bass textures drive the remix forward, elevating its trap foundation and transforming it into a track primed for underground warehouses and mainstage crowds alike.

Whethan’s return to form comes after the release of ‘Life of a Wallflower Vol. 2’, which highlighted his growth and evolution while nodding back to his roots. Now, with his bass-driven flips, packed pop-ups, and viral remixes igniting online buzz, Whethan is setting the tone for a bold new era — one that’s grounded in chaos, freedom, and culture-shaping sound design.

WHETHAN TOUR DATES

October 3 - Bill Graham Civic Auditorium - San Francisco, CA

October 24 - Get Freaky Music Festival - Salt Lake City, UT

December 19 - Masonic Temple Theatre - Detroit, MI

December 30 - BLNK CNVS Presents: To The Future: NYE - Nashville, TN

Whethan, born Ethan Snoreck, is a Chicago-born electronic producer and artist who has spent the past decade shaping the sound of a generation. With billions of streams and multiple gold and platinum certifications, he first broke through as a teenage prodigy on SoundCloud before becoming the youngest producer ever signed to Future Classic at just 16. By 18, he was executive-producing Oliver Tree’s debut album, collaborating with global stars like Dua Lipa, Charli XCX, Portugal. The Man, and NLE Choppa, and creating one of Coachella’s most talked-about moments with viral star Mason Ramsey.

Known for his restless, genre-blurring style, Whethan has released charting singles like “High” and “Savage” while producing nearly 100 tracks for household names including Joji, Megan Thee Stallion, Kygo, X Ambassadors, The Chainsmokers, glaive, and ericdoa. His music has also crossed into culture at large, with placements in Euphoria, Fifty Shades of Grey, Apple, Sony PlayStation, the NFL, and more.

A dynamic live performer, Whethan has played marquee festivals and venues worldwide, from Coachella, Lollapalooza, and Ultra to Red Rocks and multiple sold-out headline tours. In 2024, he reconnected with his creative core on Life of a Wallflower, Vol. 2, before launching a bold new bass-forward era in 2025. With viral SoundCloud flips like his cult-favorite rework of MssingNo’s “XE3 (Whethan Turn)” and his gritty Warehouse.Wavs EP, Whethan is both honoring his roots and redefining his future — proving that, at just 26, he remains one of music’s most innovative and unpredictable forces.

BADCOMPPANY DEBUT WITH NEW LINK EP

OUT NOW AS PART OF DIRTYBIRD’S 20TH ANNIVERSARY YEAR

Brazilian duo BadComppany are making their label debut with their two-track LINK EP out now as part of the Dirtybird’s 20th anniversary.

A dynamic twofer, LINK is a spirited statement piece that introduces BadComppany’s joint sound to the flock. ‘Girls In Green’ unrolls with bouncy tech-forward arpeggiations while ‘That Good’ instantly raises alarm bells with its cheeky vocal chops and playful patterns. The resulting 8 minutes are an intriguing duality of off-kilter excitement and a familiar warmth befitting the Dirtybird catalog.

Dirtybird’s bodacious basslines and hypnotic rhythms have long drawn rising producers from Brazil, creating a natural home for the country’s most forward-thinking talent. After years of championing acts like Bruno Furlan, Cour T., and DJ Glen, the label curated their Taste Of Brazil compilation last year to further spotlight the bridging sound of Brazilian house and techno. Dirtybird will continue to broaden its footprint in Brazil later this year with an upcoming tour throughout the region.

LINK EP Tracklist
1. Girls In Green
2. That Good

BadComppany is the Brazilian duo of hip-hop veteran DJ Zeu and young producer Raphael Cordoso. They launched the project in 2024 with their debut single ‘Too Mush Baby’ via Cour T.’s Colapso.
