The Two Producers Release Their Third Collaborative Track Under nilsix via Dreamstate Records.
Renowned dance music producers Orjan Nilsen and Mark Sixma join forces once again under their nilsix moniker to deliver a breathtaking follow-up single, “Gone,” serving as their third appearance on Dreamstate Records.
Orjan Nilsen and Mark Sixma are two veterans in the dance space, both of which have remained at the forefront of the trance music realm with multiple albums and chart-topping singles stretching back almost two decades. “Gone” is another crowd-pleasing progressive trance offering from the mighty pairing. The festival-focused single is marked by robust tumbling basslines, sharp arpeggiations, crisp hi-hats, and uplifting melodic progressions crafted with a sense of wonder.
On his experience creating this collaboration, Mark Sixma shares: “I had a melody that I made on my way to our nilsix Asia tour, showed it to Orjan, and by the time I took a shower, he had already made the sickest of basslines to it. We kept working on it and finished it just in time for Dreamstate SoCal later that week where we premiered it”
They previously debuted the alias with the inaugural single “Anhedonia” last year, after many months of anticipation they drew upon teasing it during the highly coveted ‘A State of Trance’ live studio show with Armin van Buuren during ADE. They quickly carried the momentum with their sophomore single “The Void,” showcasing the darker side of their joint pseudonym. The project has seen an eruption of support from industry titans such as Markus Schulz, MaRLo, Super8 & Tab, and Nifra, with the previous outings on the label garnering press coverage from EDM Nations, Trance Attack, Orange County EDM, CULTR, EDM Tunes, Glasse Factory, The Music Essentials, Your EDM, and Neon Owl.
Coming up, the duo will be performing together as nilsix at this year’s installment of EDC Las Vegas, as well as at high-profile venues such as O2 Arena and Daresbury Estate.
