The UK-based producer delivers an irresistible tech house track destined to ignite dancefloors.
UK producer Jerome Price is delivering his debut offering on Insomniac’s offshoot imprint IN/ROTATION with his latest single, “Kid You Not.” The track is a club-ready tech house roller fueled by a cascading piano motif, rubbery basslines, saucy Latin string fills, frothy synth leads, and hushed vocal loops.
The track was inspired during a recent trip to iconic venue Hï Ibiza. Reflecting on the creation of “Kid You Not,” Jerome Price shares: “Coming back to the hotel in the early hours after a night at Hï, I was inspired to open my laptop and make some music. After finding the clean and almost angelic ‘Just Kidding’ vocal sample—when I was finally able to download on the very slow hotel wifi—which, contrasted with the heavy and dirty analogue style lead synth, made it sound like something I’d just spend the past few hours dancing to. After adding the final touches when I returned to my studio in the UK, those slight Latin flavors sprinkled throughout the track takes me back to that time on the island.”
Operating out of Newcastle, Jerome Price has been leaving his stamp on the house scene with his signature combination of memorable hooks, upbeat grooves and weighty basslines. Jerome has delivered high profile remixes for deadmau5, Katy Perry, Chris Brown, and Jennifer Lopez. He's performed at Creamfields, SW4, Ministry of Sound, and Hï Ibiza. His "Morning Comes" track with singer/songwriter Nu-La has amassed 4.1 millions streams in less than a year.
With “Kid You Not,” Jerome Price further solidifies his reputation as a skilled tech house producer, crafting infectious and club-ready tracks to stir the dancefloor into a frenzy.
