LA-based producer ZEVY and Miami-based singer-songwriter and producer Ferris are joining forces for their new single. Merging their worlds seamlessly, “Dance With Your Ghost” is a potent cross-pollination set for release via STNS. The dance-pop collab bridges the gap between country and stutter house, building around a twangy topline, tic-tac picking leads, and guitar slides that bleed into a euphoric, oscillating house groove.
ZEVY shares some insight on the inception of the single: “Ferris sent me a demo for the track and I immediately knew it was gonna be something special. I loved the ‘dance with your ghost’ tag, and I envisioned a drop that paints a sonic picture of what dancing with a ghost could actually sound like. I knew it had to be vocal-chop heavy—almost wailing like a ghost—and then the stutter house drop just felt perfect to go with the vocal chop and complete the picture. The dichotomy between the heartfelt country lyrics and euphoric drop forges an unforgettable sonic experience.”
