VIOLINIST AND EXPERIMENTAL BASS PRODUCER JOSH TEED UNVEILS GENRE-MELDING BANGER “WILDFIRE” FROM UPCOMING TAKING IT ALL IN EP

This is the most genre-defying track I've ever written, with three epic drops all consisting of a different vibe. Skye's vocals are the icing on top of the cake, really tying the whole song together - it’s the perfect closer to my new EP Taking It All In” - Josh Teed

Teed will continue showcasing the forthcoming EP on his 'Taking It All In Live 2024' national headlining tour

Oscillating between his drum pad, synthesizers, and violin, Teed's live show is an immersive production for the ages

The four-month run will stop through cities like Chicago, San Francisco, Atlanta, Denver, and Nashville, in addition to a performance at the first-ever Texas Eclipse Festival

Denver-based experimental bass producer and violinist Josh Teed is expanding his reach.

Over the past several years, Josh Teed has inspired audiences across the country with his multi-instrumentalist live set - a performance style that sees him oscillate between the DJ decks, violin, synths, and more. As a result, he’s been booked by major festivals such as Lightning In A Bottle, Gem & Jam, and Sonic Bloom; performed at a Pretty Lights Official Pre Party; toured with big name bass acts such as CloZee, Dirtwire, and Koan Sound; released on influential label Gravitas; and collaborated with artists such as Chmura, Notlö, and more. In the process, he’s endeared himself to fans as a one-of-a-kind bass music disruptor.

Josh Teed’s journey within the music industry hasn’t been conventional, as the artist grew up in New Hampshire before living in Vietnam as a basketball player and coach. But after years living in Denver cultivating a genre-melding sound of left-of-center bass sound design and symphonic instrumentation, Josh Teed is ready to make his biggest artistic splash yet.

Following the start of his latest nationwide headlining tour, Josh Teed is gearing up to release his new EP, Taking It All In - a 6-track package being released via The Gradient Perspective Records. Filled to the brim with cinematic electronic stylings and Teed’s signature bass production, the artist designed his new EP to be a reflection of his life twists and turns so far - and a reminder to cherish every moment and embrace whatever might come your way.

This new, introspective mindset results in an EP that will retain many of the elements Josh Teed’s fans have grown to love while pushing his sound into new directions. With a further emphasis on melodic expression, lead vocals, and granular synthesis, Taking It All In seamlessly blends pop sensibilities with intricate production flourishes, a combination that marks a new sonic turn in Teed’s career.

Fans got their first taste of Taking It All In with the EP’s lead single, “Just Breathe,” a collaboration with rapper Chuuwee and vocalist Blūm. Replete with dreamy textures, playful instrumentation, and striking vocal performances, “Just Breathe” combines Josh Teed’s hazy, atmospheric essence with a dose of hip-hop swagger.

Today, Josh Teed unveils “Wildfire,” a collaboration with vocalist skye silansky. Replete with ethereal atmospherics, euphoric bass wubs, and majestic string instrumentation flowing throughout the track’s unpredictable structure, ”Wildfire” is a genre-blending masterclass and lavish showcase of Josh Teed’s brimming versatility.

Wildfire” kicks off with cavernous foliage, slowly bringing in hazy synth pads and keyboard melodies before introducing skye silansky’s angelic vocals. The track then progresses with lush violin playing complemented by deep low end and impending drum rhythms before dropping into its dubstep-inspired bass breakdown - the first of the song’s three distinct drops.

When the track builds up into its second drop, it introduces these wonky, chopped up synth sweeps and granular production elements underscored by stuttering hi-hats, industrial sound design, and impactful drum programming.

Then, the song’s third drop closes out “Wildfire” in cathartic fashion, combining many of the track’s previous elements into a cacophony of distorted bass wubs, syncopated drum rhythms, and ghostly synth samples.

Fans can catch Josh Teed performing “Wildfire” and other EP tracks on his ongoing, nationwide 'Taking It All In Live 2024' tour. The four-month headlining run will stop in cities Chicago, San Francisco, Atlanta, Denver, and Nashville, in addition to a performance at the first-ever Texas Eclipse Festival. Oscillating across the stage between his drum pad, synthesizers, and violin, Teed's live show is an immersive production for the ages.

On the 'Taking It All In Live 2024' tour, Teed will continue his tradition of giving back to local and global communities, which he strives to do on every tour. For his Colorado dates, he will be partnering up with Boredom Fighters - an organization that sets up production workshops for underserved youth. With the support of the label, The Gradient Perspective, his management team at Mammoth Music Group and his talent agency ETP Agency, they will also be donating 20 trees per tour date through One Tree Planted, an organization that aims to restore forests, create habitat for biodiversity, and make a positive social impact around the world
