WENZDAY RETURNS TO IN/ROTATION WITH AN AGITATED HEARTBREAK HOUSE SINGLE, "I WANNA TALK"

WENZDAY FLIPS HEARTBREAK ON ITS HEAD WITH HER NEWEST TECH HOUSE OFFERING

L.A.-based producer Wenzday makes her triumphant return to Insomniac’s offshoot imprint IN / ROTATION, as she dials in with an agitated heartbreak house single, “I Wanna Talk,” releasing November 1st.

With “I Wanna Talk”, Wenzday demonstrates her ability to craft weight house grooves, weaving together punchy, wonky basslines with shuffling drums and a sleek, modern mood. Anchored by a catchy spoken-word vocal hook that pleads for an answer, the one-sided conversation is accented by all manner of cheeky phone samples. A bold, bouncy energy matches the tenacious feelings of the lyrics, while simultaneously diving headlong into the all-too-relatable experience of being ghosted.

Wednesday explains her reasoning behind exploring this common affliction through her track: “I wanted to write a heartbreak house song about the experience of being ghosted. Unfortunately, many of us have experienced what it’s like to feel secure with someone—only for them to abandon ship without any warning. The lyrics for ‘I Wanna Talk’ are what I wish I could have said to an ex-partner who ghosted me. Nothing beats turning a bad experience into a fun, empowering anthem.”

A classically trained musician turned label boss and house music phenom, Wenzday has carved her own personal niche with relatable themes and her sharp ear for creating bubbly, club-ready grooves. Her two previous EPs on IN / ROTATION, including the more recent ‘Heartbreakers Club,’ have garnered widespread press attention from Forbes, Soundrive, EDM Identity, Glasse Factory, and IHouseU, among others. Her last single on the label, the Donna Summer-inspired “Fever Dream,” was released in May and further escalated her status as a gifted producer and rising force in the house scene.

Wenzday’s music has been widely recognized by heavy hitters in the electronic music space, receiving radio support from Diplo & Friends, Power Tools, Alison Wonderland, KISS FM UK/US, and iHeartRadio. After performing a standout set at Splash House in August, she’s ready to bring her electric energy to more live audiences, with upcoming performances at Insomniac’s Boo! Seattle in October, and headline shows at Ora (Seattle), Elektricity (Detroit), Summer Bliss Festival, Pourhouse, and Breakaway Festival.

Through her follow-up single “I Wanna Talk,” Wenzday continues to push the limits of her signature ‘heartbreak house’ sound, wrapping her empowering response to love and loss in a sleek, dancefloor-ready package.

Born in Las Vegas and raised in the Bay Area, Taylor aka Wenzday uses her classically trained ear to bring a new sound to the electronic scene. After moving from the bay area to Los Angeles to commit to a full time music career, Wenzday attended and graduated from the prestigious recording academy ICON COLLECTIVE. It was here that Wenzday shifted from an open format DJ to full time producer. Fusing both her knowledge in house music and bass music Wenzday has created a unique and different sound that has hit releases on Confession, Dim Mak, Ultra, IN/ROTATION, and Insomniac Records. Wenzday's success has led to a hit weekly show on Insomniac Radio that airs weekly on Wednesdays and is also the co-founder of the hit bass label 40oz Cult. The label has released over 100 records since its inception in 2016 and has had shows in Los Angeles, San Diego, Honolulu, and Austin. Wenzday made waves with her hit release 'Heartbreak House' in 2019, a track that garnered support from Spotify Playlisting, Apple Music Playlisting, Billboard, Sirius XM and many more across the world. With major performances at festivals Coachella, EDC Las Vegas, Lost Lands, Nocturnal Wonderland, and Beyond Wonderland, Wenzday has been able to bring an experience to her live set that makes her performance something you don’t want to miss.

When you step into her world, Every Day is Wenzday.
