Martin Garrix has again proven his dominance in the global music scene during this year's Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE). The Dutch DJ and producer has been crowned the number-one DJ in the world for the fifth time in DJ Mag’s prestigious annual poll, tying the record with Armin van Buuren. This milestone cements Garrix’s status as one of the most influential figures in electronic music.
Garrix's momentous win was presented to him by Armin van Buuren, and then celebrated with a 120-minute set at AMF. The performance closed off an already action-packed week at ADE, where Garrix kicked off the festivities with his STMPD RCRDS label night at AFAS Live. The event featured an impressive lineup of 14 artists and a series of exciting back-to-back sets.
The night peaked with a surprise set from Garrix himself, meanwhile, the opener was also Garrix with an exclusive performance as Ytram, his alias, which marked the first time he performed as Ytram since Tomorrowland 2018.
On Wednesday, he took the stage at ADE Pro with good friends and colleagues Afrojack, Julian Jordan, Mesto, and Justin Mylo. The panel discussed their beginnings in the industry and shared tips for upcoming DJ/producers.
As if that wasn’t enough, he also released fan-favorite ‘’Gravity’’ with Sem Vox and Jaimes on Friday, and premiered a brand-new release together with singer-songwriter Jex, who joined him on stage at both the STMPD RCRDS Label Night and AMF.
Garrix's ADE week showcased his versatility and ability to push boundaries as a producer and performer. His continued success and innovation leave no doubt that he remains a leader in the global electronic music scene.
