J. WORRA AND CHERRY TOOTH COMBINE FORCES ON JACKIN' HOUSE COLLAB "DANCING AT THE DISCO" ON INSOMNIAC RECORDS

THE HOUSE MAESTRO TEAMS UP WITH EMERGING PRODUCER CHERRY TOOTH ON THEIR JACKIN’ COLLAB.

Chicago-bred, Denver-based phenom J. Worra returns to Insomniac Records for her third appearance, which sees her teaming up with budding producer Cherry Tooth on their rollicking collab “Dancing At The Disco.”

Shaped by the seminal sounds from the birthplace of house music, J. Worra always stays true to her roots with a polished fusion of classic house and new-school tech that has been refined across a decade’s worth of dancefloor-ready releases. Joined by another fast-rising sensation in the space, Cherry Tooth, “Dancing At The Disco,” delivers a potent dose of sweaty jackin’ energy, inspired by the ritualistic revelry referenced in its title. Clocking in at more than three minutes of pure tech house vigor, the track is pinned to a reverberating, low-passed filtered vocal hook, which mingles beautifully with its sleazy pads, galloping basslines, cawing vox, sharp hats and crisp claps, throwing in a sumptuous cherry on top in the form of a discerning breakdown adorned with dark, retro rave stabs.

J. Worra says the new single is long overdue, withs its two kindred spirits waiting for the opportune moment to strike. “Ben [Cherry Tooth] is always sending me ideas, and we’ve been talking about a collaboration for a while,” she says. “When he sent ‘Dancing At The Disco’, I was immediately so excited about it. I asked him if I could add my flair to it, and our first collab was born!”

The new single represents the completion of a hat-trick of groovy releases from J Worra on the Insomniac imprint. Beginning with her 2022 debut “Lightning to Strike,” featuring alt singer-songwriter Nathan Nicholson, this was followed by another high-profile vocal number “Burn This House” featuring UK’s disco and pop dance icon Little Boots, with each single racking up 4.5M and 1.7M streams, respectively. She also holds down a formidable tour schedule, with upcoming headline slots at Academy LA, The Vanguard in Orlando, Washington D.C’s Soundcheck, along with Nova in San Diego and a hometown play at Chicago’s Concord Music Hall.

Meanwhile, Cherry Tooth recently launched the production project with his inaugural single “Way Too Good,” earning support from GUZ, Dombresky, Gorgon City, Kream, Benny BenassiTough LoveFedde Le GrandKyros, and Tomo Hirata. The track also broke into the coveted Cool Charts in the UK. On the live side, Cherry Tooth will be joining J. Worra on select stops for her forthcoming tour as direct support.

Dancing At The Disco” combines the strengths of one of the most respected names in the game with another artist poised to make waves in the imminent future, resulting a peak-time track that will cause crowds to lose control at discos, clubs, festivals, warehouses and any other conceivable place where house music is embraced.
