The track opens with Jordan’s captivating vocals, sparking an instant connection with listeners while drawing them into a realm of emotion and intrigue.
Einmusik's signature production style comes to the forefront as the track unfolds, building a compelling sonic landscape. Deep basslines are intertwined with intricate percussion, creating a steady and driving rhythm that binds the entire composition. Demonstrating both artists’ abilities to craft evocative soundscapes, The One’s exudes a poignant atmosphere that lingers long after the final note.
Speaking about the release, the artists mentioned,
"The song is about the feeling we get when we listen to the music we love. It makes us feel connected to the world around us, and more connected to each other by being in the moment. We are the one’s living in the moment.
The collaboration came about in a very organic way and nothing ever felt forced. We both added an equal amount of sonics to the project and is a great representation of how a collaboration should be, a combination of styles to create something unique that not one of us could make by ourselves.”
About Einmusik:
Berlin-based musician and label head Einmusik is considered to be one of the most acclaimed representatives of Melodic House & Techno, and deservedly so. With a musical cosmos that straddles some of the world’s most esteemed imprints such as Stil Vor Talent, Diynamic, Katermukke, Suara, and Bedrock among others, the German producer’s boundless creativity has resulted in a desire to produce under multiple monikers; his real name (Samuel Kindermann) in addition to pseudonyms Resil, Ophir Project and Seriously Tight.
Born in the late 70s, Einmusik absorbed the sounds of Depeche Mode, Visage and Kraftwerk, gravitating to their melodic and experimental worth. These, in addition to Drum and Bass and emotive techno material, formed the muse for his debut 3-tracker, Weekender (2003, via Italic). By 2004, Kindermann had mastered his core aesthetic as a producer and subsequently entered the German Dance Charts with his single Jittery Heritage; paving the way for future partnerships with labels like Liebe Detail, Bouq and Noir Music. Curating his all-important debut solo album de, Medici in 2007, which included some standout cuts from his back catalogue, Einmusik presented an authentic sonic palette founded on rapturous melodies and eccentric synth-work. Contributing further to the progression of the genre, Kindermann launched Einmusika Recordings just two short years later; a label that has since operated with flourishing success. Celebrating its tenth anniversary back in 2018, Einmusika’s showcases enjoyed sold out editions and festival inclusions from New York to Asia and everywhere in between.
