Lucky Yu is the solo project of Asian American and Los Angeles based producer & songwriter, David Yu. Inspired by the experimental pop sounds of Caroline Polachek and FKA Twigs and the genre-bending productions of Sega Bodega and Mura Masa, Yu's sound is a unique blend of ethereal electronic beats, soothing vocals, and sharp textures. His music is a reflection of his vision as an artist to create an auditory space for his listeners to feel both a deep sense of comfort and the exhilaration of pushing past our own limited realities. Lucky is planning on releasing two more singles in 2023 and a full EP early 2024.
