Announces New Dirtybird Players Tour Dates In Detroit, Las Vegas, Miami, New York, & More
Dirtybird Records releases its anticipated Dirtybird Players Compilation featuring original tracks from the label’s rising stars including Arnold & Lane, Mike Kerrigan, and n808, along with the highly-anticipated VIP edit of DJ Glen and Bruno Furlan’s ‘Another Planet’. The compilation arrives to coincide with the next phase of the Dirtybird Players Tour, which will make upcoming stops in Detroit, Las Vegas, Miami, New York, and more.
In 2013, Claude VonStroke launched the first lineup of Dirtybird Players, which introduced the label’s roster of then up-and-coming acts like Eats Everything, Catz 'n Dogz, Justin Martin, and Kill Frenzy. Now a decade later, the label has brought back that concept with a new slate of Players. These fresh faces of the flock represent the next generation of artists to shape the sound and culture of the label.
Serving as a spotlight for the next class of Dirtybird Players, the compilation kicks off with DJ Glen and Bruno Furlan’s famed ‘Another Planet’ VIP. A boisterous tech-house edit of the Brazilian duo’s 2019 collaboration, their in-demand ‘Another Planet’ VIP has been championed by artists like FISHER and Chris Lake, and become one of label’s most requested IDs.
The compilation continues with an overzealous VIP edit from San Francisco favorite Mike Kerrigan of his 2020 Claude VonStroke-assisted Dirtybird debut ‘I Caught A Vibe’. Next up is LA-based duo Arnold & Lane, hot off their hefty Buck EP and back to serve up another heavy-hitter with ‘Amplify Your Vibe’. Israeli newcomer Arad Maor offers a vivacious and varied listening experience with ‘London Town’. Rising Bay Area producer n808 brings his playful tech-house with ‘The Cats Pajamas’ and Mike Kerrigan returns with an eerie followup to his recent Liquid Dreams EP with ‘Dark Play’.
The compilation progresses with the flavorful energy of “Cha Cha Cha’, a collaboration from Brazilian duo Malik Mustache and Las Vegas producer Teklow, before diving into the mystical sounds of Florida-based duo Two Tails for ‘Mind Game’. Rounding out the compilation, Lennard Ellis offers a fizzy groover with ‘Bubble House’ and LA-based music maker Jaksan closes with the psychedelic tones of ‘Deeper’. A colorful 10-track collection showcasing the experimental sounds and genre-defying talent of this year’s Dirtybird Players, the esteemed label’s latest compilation arrives with a live tour, just as did in 2013.
The flock will take flight this Fall with its next lineup of Dirtybird Players. The second phase of the Dirtybird Players Tour will include acts from the compilation supporting Claude VonStroke, with Bruno Furlan set to join in Miami and Mike Kerrigan and n808 on select dates. Additional support will include Dirtybird favorite Lubelski and rising duo RaeCola.
