LA-based DJ, producer, and label-head Ravell has joined forces with Canadian producer Jack Trades for a stunning, atmospheric collaboration, “Calling.” The duo initially proved to be a collaboration match made in heaven with their 2018 single, “Feelin’ You,” and are teaming up to showcase the evolution of their respective production styles since their last joint project. The track marks Ravell’s first offering of the year, as well as the third in his recently-launched imprint KAZAA’s discography. Following his last single “Baila,” an energy-packed Latin house cut, Ravell’s reputation and recognition have continued to grow for his innovation and ever-evolving sound. “Calling” is due for release via KAZAA.
“Calling” begins with soft synths and vocals, which lead into the light and airy world of house music. As the song progresses and the beat kicks in, the track lands at a comfortable pace of 125 bpm to get the heart and feet moving. "Calling" seamlessly incorporates familiar elements, with the addition of a captivating high hat sound, crafting an atmospheric track that has become synonymous with the Ravell brand. Both creative forces expertly tap into the expressive power of the genre, delivering a captivating composition adorned with soothing harmonies. “Calling” has all elements to be a necessity in 2023 summer playlists across the globe.
After having received early support from house music legend Kaskade during his breakout year, Ravell has carefully crafted an impactful footprint of his own. His label KAZAA, stemming from the Spanish word “casa” meaning home, was launched in 2021 with the release of the track “Siento”. Following shortly behind he unleashes a scintillating Latin house song “Baila”, both of which pay homage to his Latin roots. Since then, he has continued to garner unshaken support from fellow artists and fans due to his unwavering work ethic and unrelenting kindness.
On the touring front, Ravell has graced the stages of Hard Summer, Coachella, EDC Vegas, as well as numerous headlining shows in his hometown of LA.
